I have to get rid of a cat. Where is the most likely location it will survive and have offspring? I’m not taking it to a shelter. I don’t care about anyone’s negative opinion of this matter.
Your post lacks literally any of the details one would need to answer your question
>>32628737What details? I’m thinking a senior living community or near the harbor.
>>32628742Do you want it to survive and have offspring? Why are you getting rid of it? Why aren't you taking it to a shelter?
>>32628761They auto neuter cats here then euthanize them after 2 months. I feel like giving her a 50/50 shot at having kids in the wild is almost more humane.
>>32628785are there no no-kill shelters anywhere around you? Have you done a google search for any of them, if so what came up? Idk where you live but I live in the southern US and it's below freezing right now. If you give her that "50/50 shot" she will not die peacefully from a vaccine, she will slowly freeze to death behind whatever dumpster she is able to find scraps in. She will die wondering what she did wrong and why you abandoned her, telling herself that she didn't know it could get this cold, and missing her mother's soft fur from when she was a kitten. Don't be an asshole. Please, don't do that to her. You took on a responsibility as a man to care for this being. Do your duty.
>>32628814Southwest coast of the USA. cat will be fine. No-kill shelter doesn’t have any information on giving them pets.
>>32628916say she's not a pet? say you just found her?
>>32628727>I’m not taking it to a shelterThen you're being retarded on purpose.
>>32628727> I dont want to see raise the cat but I expect someone else to and also take care if its childrenYou are exactly the reason why cats are spayed. No one wants to take care of the kids.
>>32628727If you took care of it your entire life then you need to find someone else to take care of it. That cat will die in a month in the wild it can’t hunt and will probably starve from fear and sadness from being abandoned. It would honestly be nicer to put it in a bag and throw it in a river.
>>32628916>Southwest coast of the USA. I.e. California. Many counties, especially wealthier and more populous ones, directly operate animal shelters. They will take in most domestic animals from county residents, either as strays or as voluntary surrenders of pets. You can look up what your county's policy on euthanasia is. I can't imagine a well-funded animal shelter through the county would kill for space (mine doesn't), but you should at least check for yourself. As for neutering, that's extremely common and generally a good thing. It controls the feral population--they're murder machines of local wildlife despite being cute--and makes it harder for sociopaths to do backyard breeding for profit. If you don't want to neuter, then the best thing you can do for this cat is to find a friend (someone you know and trust, don't just advertise on craigslist) who wants to take in a cat.Letting him go into the wild won't keep him from getting neutered. Trap-Neuter-Release programs for feral cats are fairly common now, so the only guarantee is to make sure he goes directly to a good home.>>32629127>lmao, don't just release a cat, drown it
>>32628916>Southwest coast of the USAwhereabouts? if it's a lifelong domesticated cat and it's within driving distance I'd rather adopt it than have it suffer when a coyote gets it
>>32629319Ive had it for 3 months I saved it on the road but I don’t wanna keep it as a lifelong commitment.
