I do my best. I got into skincare pretty late (ie. my late 20s) but prior to that I'd been an office guy, only drank water, never smoked and never drank alcohol. Doing all that has probably helped really hold back the damage since smoking and drinking really fuck your shit up.

I've realized a truth.
Life sucks and I don't connect with people, there is a river between me and everyone else, in a world of social creatures being alone is retaliation. I have a few diehard lifelong friends but new connections seem truly alien and impossible to make.
This will not change because it would require me to sacrifice my ideals and choices for others preferences which I simply won't do, helping others is one thing but changing myself for others is not possible.
All there is to do is to continue forward and trust in God and see where the path leads.
Does it sound arrogant? Somewhat, but anyone worth anything will believe in their own subjective value over others, if they didn't they wouldn't be valuable in the first place right?
There are those who will do and those who will watch, and the watching crowd seems awfully larger.

I'll try to distil what I've learned over years of dealing with prevalent acne.
Do an elimination diet, only eat basic stuff like meat and rice. Bad digestion will lead to inflammation which will lead to acne, and digestion/gut science is still primative but an easy framework is that genetics play a large part in what we digest well so starting a diet of things we know humans digest fine such as meat and rice and slowly adding things to see what triggers your digestion is a good start.
Acne and Diets causation is more in what you don't eat rather than what you do eat, the bad stuff will harm your skin more than the good stuff will heal it so its best to avoid the bad stuff entirely.
As for topical treatments, how oily your face is will decide which type of cleanser you should use. Acne does not automatically mean oily skin. For acne scars Azelaic acid is good, for retinoids get a Tretinoin prescription from a doctor if you are only using a storebought retinoid like adapeline gel right now.
And of course, you need to get consistent sleep that is of an adequate amount.
It will also take time to see progress, a lot of acne that "just appeared" was in your skin for weeks and is only now surfacing, getting through that debt to finally see clearing will take time.
