I don't get women at all. Why would you remark negative connotation in an already tense and high stakes situation?

If it were me, I would completely back off, thinking the girl wants to get me in trouble, or it would make me realize i'm going too far and coworkers could start noticing and some karen would report me to human resources, the report would go to whatever professional council regulates teachers and I would be invalidated forever to work as a teacher in this or any other country.
