>>4775444I just got one this morning. Put it out belly up on the lawn and not 45 minutes later a couple of ravens were making all kinds of excited sounds and dug in. After they left, a turkey vulture came and dragged it into the woods to eat in peace. It's probably just a pile of fur and bones by now as they were at it all day.

In my research of animals over the years I feel in terms of objective cuteness on both a physical and behavioural level, long tailed tits take the top spot for me. On top of being so goddamn fluffy with little black dot eyes and beak with teeny lil feet and their namesake tail they exemplify generally wholesome natures with a lot of cute social habits. They're highly social and travel in little fluffy hordes of family members, you often in colder months see them all huddled up together to conserve heat which is always really adorable, they're also monogamous and form long lasting bonds. Their nests are even adorable they also are balls of fluff and if they're nest fails they often help out other long tailed tits to raise their young.
