I've got a (not especially extreme of "type") XL Bully and there's already "some" problems despite being well bred and having good structure, he's not observably particularly brachycephalic and he still suffers some of the problems associated with that. Even if toads were "healthy" genetically, even the "healthy" version; Pockets essentially suffer all the problems of big dogs and all the problems of "squat",stout bulldogs and small dogs. The structure on Toadlines is genuinely atrocious and your dog will be in pain/distress just from daily wear and tear. Add on the fact that they've got something like 0.6 mean coefficient of inbreeding (with some cases being up to 0.9 or something borderline "impossible"), there's a solid chance of a "best case" dropping dead at 3.

If you really must get a smashed type dog, consider a "healthy" Pocket Bully or a "remake" breed of the English Bulldog like the Leavitt (probably too "working" for what you want) or an Olde English Bulldog. If you want a reasonably "friendly" but healthy small "Bull" type, consider the Staffordshire Bull Terrier (not to be confused with American Staffordshire) but they very much lean towards terrier type (and require a lot of exercise and some "work")

Jaun Gotty is not a toadline, but a Gottiline. Basically every dog between him to Mr Miagi and Mr Toad are Gottilines. Every dog before him is a Pitbull.
Its only starting with Mr Miagi and Mr Toad that they really are considered Toadlines, or more accurately Micro Bullies.

Basically Gottilines are just Pittbulls that are more muscular and slightly stubby, but still look relatively normal and don't really have any serious health issues, at least not to the same degree that toadlines do. They actually still exist as a sub-breed, but they aren't as well defined and are often just grouped in with normal pitbulls.

I did get curious just now and I was able to find that I could actually extend the chart back to dogs from as far back as 1942.

It may actually not be that hard to include them (provided that 4chan's file size limits work with me). I did find that the length of a generation actually got longer with time. Prior to 1998, the average generation for these Pitbulls was around 4 to 7 years. After 1998 it was maybe 3 to 6. After 2012 when Mr Miagi was born it got shortened to 3 to 5.


I do also have the inbreeding coefficients and Juan Gotty index for all of the dogs I have kept track of. But I may include year of birth for the major studs and dams if I can find them.

I am honestly not sure. I didn't see any French bulldogs in Doughboy's family tree. I think they are an entirely different bloodline.
The majority of the dogs I have catalog are derived from pitbulls, the only ones I saw that where not where boxers, at least up to where I cataloged.

That said, there are lots of missing dams and sires that just where not cataloged for some reason. It is possible that the missing dogs are Frenchies or American bulldogs but I doubt that it is that common.

I started just using bullydex for when I made the first chart and just tracking who is who. You can click on any dog in the pedigree to find who is the related to what.
Other online pedigree sites are pretty good.
