Why do cameras fail to capture the impressiveness of giraffes? It's the same with some other animals but not to this extent.
>>4899169Seeing things in person is usually better than seeing them in a photo
>>4899170Sure but usually not to this extent. The difference between a photo and the irl experience is way larger with giraffes than with elephants for instance imo.
>>4899169Get yourself a good camera and a fitting lens. Most people who take pictures of animals use a zoom or a telephoto lens since most animals are small or need a huge distance otherwise they run away. Both are no good options to picture a giraffe in a majestic way.Btw Quagmire was right.
>>4899171I think it's because of how absurdly tall they are. A photo or video can't convey the majesty of standing in front of one and looking all the way up
Most camera lenses are best used on very circular shaped objects. Giraffes... Are very not circular, in fact, they are quite long. The same issue goes with humans, they compensate with props or poses
you need to be far from a giraffe to get it inside the framein person you can only see a small part of them at once they are so huge
>>4899303What would you recommend, /p/bro? Moving to a place with a lot of birds and I want a decent birding camera.
>>4899169I find this with large birds too. You don't get the impression of the size of, say, condors until you see one in real life. Those fuckers are gigantic.
The first time I saw a moose irl, I was absolutely shocked with how unfathomably huge they are. You look at them in photographs and you just don't get a scope for how fucking freakily gigantic they really are.
