It's hard to imagine wild monkeys in American suburbs. What would it be like? Would they settle in like skunks or possums?
>>4904362>Apes escape research lab
>>4904362it would be fucking horrible, they could out compete raccoons for the trash bandit niche in urban areas and they'd be worse than any pest we already havenews says they're all female though, so no breeding populations can come of it. assuming they aren't wrong or just lying
>>4904362the escaped monkeys are on their way to 4chan servers
>>4904362rhesus macaques have been in florida and georgia for decades now
>>4904655Why haven't they expanded?
whos gonna be the first one here to take a selfie with a monkey?
Realistically, what are the odds that they'll breed and become invasive? How well suited do you think Rhesus Macaques are to American winters?
>Apes escape research lab
>>4904677winters outside of the deep south are too harsh for them and they're too large and conspicuous to take advantage of anthropogenic heatsources like other invasive tropical/subtropical animals that have managed to become established at higher latitudes like roaches and wall lizards.
>>4904362>It's hard to imagine wild monkeys in American suburbs*looks at you*nope. it is not hard at all
>>4904726If they did go farther up how far would be their limit? Lower Virginia?
>>4904362What were monkey researching and how bad it was that they had to escape?
>>4904362something like picrel
>>4904716Apparently the escaped ones are all female, so unless they have been gene spliced with tranny frogs there is no chance of them breeding.
>>4904780Nature... finds a way
>>4904726>winters outside of the deep south are too harsh for themOne of the few pros of global warming is that this will stop being an issue. Take the monkeypill
I've been laughing at the thought of this all day. I hope they all end up okay.
They will first seek out many typewriters In order to write the complete works of Shakespeare By accident
>>4904362They're spreading a new STD, watch HIV 2.0 appear.
>>4904724Let's hope the guys sent out to catch them also get a banging soundtrackhttps://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2WJ9aI1StXs
>>4904362God, I hope they can't catch them and they form full growing invasive population.I'm only a little ways north, and I want them to make it here so bad. I would grab a baby monyet to keep as my own.
>>4904884i doubt more than 30% of them survive desu
>>4904938The only threats to them in this area of the country are coyotes, bobcats, and dogs. I think bobcats might be their single biggest threat, since they can't hide in trees from them. They have numbers to maybe attempt to scare the bobcat, but a scared bobcat doesn't usually retreat. It digs in and fights.
ohh great covid 2025 incoming
>>4905207Worth it to have American monyets
>>4905724Can’t wait to have a supply of pity
>>4905139they're lab monkeys they're going to be all retarded

>>4906028They are pests and don't belong there
>>4904396Life uh finds a way.
>>4906034Fuck you faggotI want my American pity population. I want to use a fishing pole to throw delicious fruits to baby monpai and then yank it back away right as they reach for it.
>>4904362>28 Days Later started when animal activists released a bunch of infected monkeys.Uh oh
>>4906043>least subhuman thirdie
>>4904780That’s unless one brave South Carolinan human male is willing to step up.
>>4904362Good, I hope they cause chaos and never get captured
>>4906034Let the monkeys go.
>>4906043Oh, well in that case I suppose it's fine. I can build my massive monkey mouse trap, you can fish babies. We can meet up and have a beer after. It'll be great.
>>4905139>gigaherpes jumps into a new natural reservoir
