It's hard to imagine wild monkeys in American suburbs. What would it be like? Would they settle in like skunks or possums?

>>4904362
it would be fucking horrible, they could out compete raccoons for the trash bandit niche in urban areas and they'd be worse than any pest we already have
news says they're all female though, so no breeding populations can come of it. assuming they aren't wrong or just lying
>>
>>4904362
the escaped monkeys are on their way to 4chan servers
>>

rhesus macaques have been in florida and georgia for decades now

Realistically, what are the odds that they'll breed and become invasive?

How well suited do you think Rhesus Macaques are to American winters?

winters outside of the deep south are too harsh for them and they're too large and conspicuous to take advantage of anthropogenic heatsources like other invasive tropical/subtropical animals that have managed to become established at higher latitudes like roaches and wall lizards.

*looks at you*
nope. it is not hard at all

Apparently the escaped ones are all female, so unless they have been gene spliced with tranny frogs there is no chance of them breeding.

One of the few pros of global warming is that this will stop being an issue. Take the monkeypill

Let's hope the guys sent out to catch them also get a banging soundtrack

>>
>>4904362
God, I hope they can't catch them and they form full growing invasive population.
I'm only a little ways north, and I want them to make it here so bad. I would grab a baby monyet to keep as my own.
>>
>>4904884
i doubt more than 30% of them survive desu
>>
>>4904938
The only threats to them in this area of the country are coyotes, bobcats, and dogs.
I think bobcats might be their single biggest threat, since they can't hide in trees from them. They have numbers to maybe attempt to scare the bobcat, but a scared bobcat doesn't usually retreat. It digs in and fights.
