That reminds me, one of those is Strepsiptera, and every single part of their lifecycle is cursed. It's not even proof that there's no god, it's proof that Satan exists and he rules the world.

>the females live as maggot-like parasites inside other insects, with only their heads sticking out (pic), while the mobile males only exist to reproduce and die within hours
>In all strepsipterans the male mates by rupturing the female's cuticle. Sperm passes through the opening directly into the body in a process called traumatic insemination
>Strepsiptera eggs hatch inside the female, and the planidium larvae can move around freely within the female's haemocoel [blood]; this behavior is unique to these insects. The offspring consume their mother from the inside in a process known as haemocoelous viviparity. Each female produces many thousands of planidium larvae. The larvae emerge from the brood opening/canal on the female's head, which protrudes outside the host body.
>When the larvae latch onto a host, they enter it by secreting enzymes that soften the cuticle, usually in the abdominal region of the host. Some species have been reported to enter the eggs of hosts.
>Once inside the host, they undergo hypermetamorphosis and transform into a less-mobile, legless larval form. They induce the host to produce a bag-like structure inside which they feed and grow. This structure, made from host tissue, protects them from the immune defences of the host. Larvae go through four more instars, and in each moult the older cuticle separates but is not discarded, so multiple layers form around the larvae.
>The colour and shape of the host's abdomen may be changed and the host usually becomes sterile. Females may occupy up to 90% of the abdominal volume of their hosts.

Then what's the "point" of adult stage? I mean, it seems to be wasteful to go through all of that developmental cycle to create non-reproductive adult forms. I know evolution isn't strictly logical, but usually there is some order to it.
>Since adults do not have a role in reproduction, they are not a physiological part of the life cycle. Thus, the rarity of adult development in the natural world may be an evolutionary response to the lack of their reproductive role. In laboratory settings, development into adults can be induced by high temperatures, but this also results in high mortality because only one out of hundreds of heat-treated larvae will survive and pupate into an adult.
>The adult females live for about six days and males only live for around 12 hours, with a strongly biased sex ratio towards females. The adults of both sexes are sterile and are vestigial remnants of a time when the life cycle involved sexual reproduction. The loss of sexual reproduction is likely associated with its infection by Wolbachia bacteria.

You are a churchless deist who is perpetually shoving a comforting and familiar thought (a conscious will did this) wherever you do not yet have the uncomfortable and horrifying answer (there is no purpose or meaning above us all) that puts all that responsibility, instead, squarely on mankind.

Rather a lot of plant species, including corn and lima beans, emit a scent signal that attracts parasitic wasps like that when caterpillars much on them. Not only that, neighboring plants join in in kind, to extend the signal's reach. It literally contradicts all logic and laws of science. Its mythology for materialism.
Are we to believe the complex components for a cell auto assemble and then dna, a programing language, auto assembles? That's just the worst religion ever.
As is evolution from a cell into creatures which is why there is no such thing in the fossil record. The fossils show advanced families of animals appearing from nowhere. Darwin knew the fossils debunked him, but he had faith in future digs. Since then we dug, and it only further established that familes just appear from nothing.
If we were just shown at school the fossil record without the fairy tale tree of life projected onto it, we would see simply complex animals appearing with no precursors in explosions of life and no one would believe evolution.

Let me explain for you:
Water, heat, light, and chemicals react to form RNA and lipids.
RNA world starts, proteins make more RNA and ribosomes make more proteins.
Lipid membranes enclose RNA and proteins, creating the first protocell.
Viroids and obelisks are good evidence of the RNA world. Viruses are also good evidence of protocells.
People have replicated protocells in the lab before, and have gotten controversy over playing god:

ant stands for antennae, lv is probably where the eyes are supposed to go, and g is probably the "cheeks" of a fly's face.
They don't even use these big-ass mouthparts to feed. They use them once in their entire lives to bury into a host bat's flesh. We don't know what they eat.

>fossils show animals appearing out of nowhere
No, they show animals existed, not how they came to be. If I show you an iphone, did it arise from nowhere if all the development of technology has been lost? No. Same thing for naturally occurring self-replicators.
>Are we to believe the complex components for a cell auto assemble and then dna, a programing language, auto assembles? That's just the worst religion ever.
Yes, because once a molecule self replicates, it will become dominant in the environment and react more often accelerating the rate of change. We can observe the beginnings of self replicating chemistry when lightning zaps some clay and soupy water, ffs.

Are we supposed to believe there is an extra-universal being and despite all the fully contradictory religions he allows to exist, he totally gave you the real one, which is totally real despite containing outright lies about jews being enslaved in egypt, a totally nonfactual creation myth set on a flat plane with four corners, and a lot of roman BS of questionable origin with a lot of cool and who knows, possibly factual shit cut out by people who were neither jesus nor god?

Yeah, that totally makes more sense than basic logic:
Once a self replicating system arises, change will accelerate and complexity will develop until the system is terminated.
And it still took over a billion fucking years to get a recognizable cell out of it!

Doesn't that prove the existence of God instead?

Consider this: you understand that there is an "ideal", you might say platonic, form of the Babirusa in which the tusks don't grow into its brain and kill it. You also understand that the tusks doing it is "bad" and that this not happening would be "good". Therefore, you are able to imagine a world that is just pure Logos, that has not been corrupted by Satan.

If there is no God, how are you able to imagine this, and why do you think it is "better" than the current situation?
