Why are animals so interesting to you?I'm from /his/ btw.
>>4905240Great this board needs more trannies. Mexican mole lizard
>>4905242I genuinely don't understand what's so interesting about lower lifeforms.
Because they're different from us
>>4905242what’s his haplogroup?
>>4905249Idk what that means in relation to non-humans but they're amphisbaenians nestled right in lacertids (true lizards) family. They piss off people to no end.
>>4905243You have the gift of consciousness and yet you misuse it. I consider the kind of you as a lower life form.
>>4905244I like how similar they are to us despite being so different.
I just like skinks, bro. They’re funny sausage lizards, and they get even funnier when they get mad. Some of them are even friendly.
>>4905243yeup pseud from his, many such cases
>>4905240phylogenetics and the untold history of the evolution of life on this planet is infinitely more interesting than the misadventures of a bunch of apes that only span a couple thousand years

>>4905240I don't know. I find nature in general really fascinating and animals are an integral part of it. It's interesting how many layers of interaction there are in the biosphere, and how even we as humans are a part of it too. Have you ever heard of a soil called Terra Preta? It's a super biologically rich soil in the Amazon created by natives burying charcoal and waste materials like animal bones and compost. In the otherwise nutrient poor tropical forest soil they're like islands of biodiversity. It's one of the many ways that we influenced the world around us and despite modern doom and gloom over the environment today it shows that we can choose to impact the world in a positive way and make it even more habitable than it was before. There's also sustainable agriculture which keeps the nutrients in a cycle and there are many plants which are adapted for human cultivation and are codependent on us taking care of them. Then there's systems like aquaponics that utilize interactions between fish, bacteria, and plants that create their own ecosystems that we help sustain and manage. All of these interactions are really neat. This doesn't even begin to cover pets, who occupy a fascinating place between the natural world and man, who bring all kinds of amazing insights on the nature of ourselves and others. If my autism sensitivities didn't act up so much I think I'd spend a lot more of my time outdoors
>>4906465good answer
