I miss my dog so much. I would have halved my lifespan just to have him live longer.
He was the shining light in a gloomy family. Everyone loved him.
>>4906456Lost my childhood dog 2 years ago, as cliche as it is, the period of mourning you go through after losing them helps in the long run. But yeah, it sucks, felt the same way about halving my lifespan for her.
>>4908284Life feels kinda empty without them, but I guess this is my first real grief.
>>4906456>>4906458>>4908284Be glad that you were able to give your dogs a good life. Dogs don't stick around long enough.
>>4906456yup would have traded places with my cat if i could. it gets betterlook into fostering
>>4906456>>4906458>>4908284I feel your pain.My dog of 16 years had to be put down this August. She was still running and doing well even with cataracts and deafness, up until late 2023 when she became incontinent. It hurt to let her go but her back legs started going and she could no longer walk. I still think about her every day.
>>4906456A neighbor chick around 90 died here recently, about a year after her dog died. It hit her so hard that the difference was obvious to all. I'm not like that, but know how she felt.
>>4909254*RIP Barbara, my all time favorite tickle o the sear.
