Can someone identify this animal ? I'm thinking goat but it's not elongated enough.
Southeastern France

It just doesnt have the long shape that goats or deer have

Also it has two massive side teeth

It’s definitely something with a keratinous horn instead of antlers. The forward curve is interesting.
>>

Possibly an ibex skull.
>>
>>4908196
A lot of the skull is missing though. My first instinct is a goat with breed specific deformities, there are a lot of those, but I’m struggling to think of one with forward curving horn.
>>

The horns aren't facing forward.
The front of the skull is missing, likely chewed through by whatever local coyote-like dog you've got in France. Jackals? Or a plain old dog.

Look here, the bulbous protrusion the horns are facing? It's here too.
So the face of the animal was eaten.
>>
>>4908230
They're definitely facing forwards. We got wolves, boars, foxes and dogs
>>
>>4908235
No, I think the horns are definitely facing backwards, as is normal.
Likely a wolf just dragged off a small goat. The bone sockets down by the base of the horns are where part of the jaw and maybe ocular muscles are stored, the eye sockets are forwards from that.

You are right. The hole I’ve circled in red is clearly where the spinal cord enters the brain case.
>>
>>4908240
The teeth are clearly facing the opposite of the hole
>>4908198
>>
>>4908249
There are no teeth, that's just the underside of the brain casing.
The entire front of the skull has been chewed away. Parts of it may still be nearby. Anon, if you're still in the area, or able to go back, you should look around for teeth in the area.

Yeah could be, it does look chewed up in the front
Its a bit far for me to go back but if an anon wants to buy the imp skull, I'll go get it
>>
>>4908194
That's the brain case with spinal forem
>>4908196
The skull sutures on mammals forms a T-shape with the vertical line of the T pointing towards the face, confirming the horns are pointing backwards like they would on a caprine
>>4908198
Those are the bottom orbit bones where the eyes were
