This series overall was incredibly boring with hit-or-miss visual effects and terrible sound design. 50% of what Morgan Freeman said was useless.That said, this 13 second scene alone almost made the drag kinda worth it. I wonder if they based the animation on horses, cows, or camels? Its proclivity towards tossing it around without repeated biting or letting go, and its lack of use of its forelimbs, seems a bit strange.

Walking with will always be the best, but credit were credit is due, it was pretty entertaining. Better than prehistoric planet. Morgan freeman's dialogue is bland and adds nothing. There's plenty of inaccuracies and dubious claims to point out too. Pretty sure marasuchus wouldn't have feathers. The stego in the same shot as flowering plants is a little anachronistic, you can go ahead and point out the rest. At least it's less pretentiously speculative than prehistoric planet.The thing I find refreshing is there is a nice amount of shock/horror, whereas Prehistoric planet plays it way too safe and it's so boring because of it. I'd prefer more blood and viscera but overall not bad. Big fan of wide goat pupils for ankylosaurs. Also like how many birds were shown to contrast our usual dinosaurs, and it doesn't frame them as a separate group. I think they're getting way better at texturing cg dinosaurs skin, feels way more like the puppets you'd see in walking with. Also what do people think of the spino fishing scene? I'm a little dubious, don't know many animals with that kind of time preference for hunting. Not really convinced by it.My biggest issue is a lot of the shots are so cheesy. Spielberg's got to chill out. What's the point of animating these animals every micro expression just to put them in the most unrealistic generative-ai-looking shot you've ever seen. I prefer how prehistoric planet is filmed like a nature documentary. The sequence with all those birds attacking the pterosaur looked so corny just to name one.Overall 7.5 /10fun but questionable creative directions.
