I still have a small position, BEX anon who did well with BIG sold. 1.88 g/t Au over 54.5m from 34.1m is high grade, very thick and shallow, that's almost like a Snownigger intercept. Good to see they have a 15,000 m drill program planned for 2025.

Snowline and CEO attending the Vancouver Resource Investment Conference January 19&20. There's a history of them dropping juicy news releases just prior to the conferences they attend and the sp jumping 10%+. That would likely put the news release around the 16th give or take a day. Monday the 20th is a U.S. market holiday (MLK). Snowniggers and swingoids prepare accordingly.

let's just remember this is the mining sector we're talking about. Most companies in this sector are just monry laundering scams designed to siphon cash from investors into management pockets. evening all, i ve got some bad news for /cmmg/.
The BC NDP gov is planning a rewrite of the mineral titles act, which in the opinion of myself and a number of my friends in the industry will likely kill all future mineral exploration in the province. Attached is part of the proposed changes. The proposed changes to the filing of mineral / placer claim titles and permitting will result in the mineral exploration sector grinding to a halt here.
https://www2.gov.bc.ca/gov/content/industry/mineral-exploration-mining/mineral-claims-consultation-framework

Exploration companies were already dealing with up to and beyond two year permit delays, this change by the NDP will make staking and permits basically unattainable.
The only way to change this is with a change in government, and unfortunately NDP won the last provincial election a few months back.

thats the thing, no one will be getting anything if the investment world thinks the regions radioactive. No jobs for the natives, no jobs under the explorers or the major miners. This will demolish the mining sector in its proposed form, and this is supposed to be deployed by March.

>>21887976
Not quite, just BC. So all the projects i follow are basically screwed. Even if you follow the new guidelines there is no guarantee of a permit with this. The only good thing is that the bands cant totally veto a project, they just have to be consulted with.

This map from the last release does a great job of showing what's coming (pending holes with blue dots with many loaded with vg over hundreds of meters). Market manipulation by governments/hedgefunds. Oil/gas is a strategic commodity at the center of war/influence/control. Main streem media will not report, and most likey does not know/care about what really goes on. Way back in the 90s I recall some news stories (when media did report some info) the US government declared the financials of the biggest US companies to be national security interests so their actual financial reports are bogus so adversaries cannot determine economic/financial conditions (how much R&D on weapons development, purchases etc). Also, many of the largerest businesses (oil/gas defense) are part of the money laundering money/hiding used to keep the military/intelligence budgest from being determined by "outsiders." You will see multiple experts from every bank making statements like "x will go up" and "x will go down" and when x goes up or down the bank points only to the expert that said up/down and say "see our expert was right". If you follow closely various activity in the media (yes you can still get some info) and from individuals who have their own channels and have industry experience, you can generally tell where things are going. Want to know why Russia is taking the easter part of Ukraine? There are many reasons, but guess where Ukraine's natural gas resources are? Want to know why the US overthrew Assad in Syria? Guess which country was blocking planned US lead gas pipelines up through into Turkey and into Europe to compete with Russian gas supplies.

yea i am not sure if BCs going to be at all friendly to exploration in the coming couple years. The good thing is if they go as far as they seem to be planning, billions of dollars in investment will abandon ship, and the gov will loose out on a lot of revenue. We might also get another election pretty quick as the NDP only has one extra seat.
>>
>>21906816
I'm sure they will still be friendly to big companies. It's just you small independent guys they want to get rid of I'm sure.

that's what you get, Bristow. Maybe don't play hardball with governments that expect you to implement a new mining code. This will go one of two ways: either Bristow caves in and pays up or one of their best mines is seized for good.

IsoEnergy's deal to buy Anfield has been cancelled, with Anfield taking up UEC's spoiler offer of financing instead. As an Iso shareholder I'm pretty happy, those US assets are low grade garbage and would have diluted my Hurricane interest. The mill near Iso's mine needs a couple of years of expensive work to make useful.

Market seems to agree with me, Iso just shot up 7%.

which ones? which country are you looking at? upstream produces oil and gas but they all need to ship it (pipeline or tanker) to get it refining. If you are bullish on oil then maybe spread out your investments a bit on some producers and some midstream (pipelines or tankers) HAFN is cheap and they are buying back their stock, offer good divi and have a variety of tankers, not advice do your own research.

Gear Energy has been doing alright, no debt, stable production and the stock keeps dumping.
There are other examples, but I guess the oil juniors have been correcting since the Russian-Ukraine war.

Oil stocks seem to be turning down again along with oil. Predictable. Too much green as of late. Gasoline keeps dumping harder than crude. Looks like refiners are still getting clowned on until further notice. With refining margins near the covid lows you'd think the bottom is near but the covid crash was sudden and short while the current recessionary forces seem more sustained. I would not be surprised to see refining margins go below the covid lows.

as everybody else here I exclusively make bad trades. But yeah I want to see a more conclusive bottom before I buy into any refiners. I'm beginning to eye Neste. My friend works there as a chemistry engineer, he's told me their renewable fuel demand is higher than what they can even supply and that they have been cutting some jobs and costs due to the poor market conditions. Their Q3 in 2023 made them €400mil, in 2024 they lost €16mil in the same period. Market cap is €10bil or so. Haven't looked at the balance sheet yet but if it looks good I'll be interested in possibly bottom-fishing that stock. I need to see gasoline begin to outperform crude before all else though. Refining margins are truly in the shitter

Barrick's mine has halted operations and Mali shipped the gold bars there to a local bank vault for safekeeping. The Loulo-Gounkoto is currently not operational. They're trying to negotiate but it seems that Barrick doesn't want to cave into Mali's demands. All the other major miners in country (B2, Resolute, Allied) agreed to pay the taxes and implement the new mining code. Barrick alone is still dragging their heels. Mali could very easily nationalize their mine but the fact that they haven't so far tells me it's something they would prefer to not do. But they might have to if they can't come into an agreement.

B2 has settled everything with Mali afaik. They're waiting to get permits to gain access to satellite deposits near the Fekola mill

KGHM still has copper reserves that will last 30+ years. If no new discoveries are made in the next few years, it could be a good longterm play I guess.. Of course recycling is also a factor. currently recycled copper has around 16% market share.

>>21926032
you got the answer right in front of you. Sounds like they simply expanded money supply in anticipation of people getting loans to buy stuff on holidays. If you had any idea how modern fractional-reserve banking works, you would not fall for such clickbait articles.

Thanks for the summary.
>>
>>21929626
KGHM still has retards from gov in key positions. They had loses per share higher than many explorers that produce nothing.
>>
>>21929736
>per share
I have done no research on KGHM and I don't doubt you're right but this number is entirely dependent on how many shares are outstanding. One gold junior was proudly parading the highest per share numbers in their peer group, they had a miniscule amount of shares outstanding lol
>>
>>21929736
The idea is that eventually copper will have such a huge value, it would be difficult even for a complete retard to fuck it up. Diversifying in other markets might make sense too, i.e. SCCO and FCX from USA
>>
>>21929750
The whole mining sector with gov participation in Poland is notorious for generating loses. They mostly get good earnings in cases of rapid spikes when they basically are surprised by amount of cash they get so they are not yet prepared to "spend it in creative ways" to put it mildly.

>>21929760

there are a bunch of good copper stocks on the market and going for pretty cheap too. Both producers and non-producers. Market conditions are uncertain which probably explains the general cheapness in that subsector.
>>
>>21929780
That's a good point too. Not to mention the deeper deposits are more expensive to work with. But hey, it's just gambling in the end, at least for me. I stopped lying to myself about being able to make educated decissions in stock market a long time ago.
>>
>>21929780
Polish reserves would be permitted sooner or later as long as there is govt participation in KGHM. Too profitable to not help yourself in betterment of financial future. Would it benefit shareholders is a material for a whole debate.

>>21929784
