>>58668077I have Oct 18 5usd calls I got into recently and am up 9%. Nothing too aggressive since I don't know the position super well but from what I've been seeing it's doing better from its lull. >>58668330The dip sucked, but the cash raise and resulting dilution made the companies financials look much less risky for the long run. I was wondering if someone who is more financially literate than me could help me understand the benefits of buying the same stock in multiple different currencies. As a relevant example, currently USD is really strong compared to most other currencies. If I were to buy a stock using USD, how would that compare to 1. converting USD to EUR, 2. buying the same stock using EUR, then 3. converting it back to USD when the dollar is weaker? I understand there are a lot of other factors, such as conversion costs and potential taxes, but if all other things were equal, would the latter have higher returns than the former?

>>58676900most definitely. the gamer segment makes up such a small amount of the revenue generated.
I honestly want NVDA to hit 15 dollars from here.
>>58676293this only works if you can swap the usd for another currency, in your example the euro, when the euro is weak, and sell for the stronger currency. the principle is, my dollar > euro. then you load up said brokerage with euros to buy stocks when USD is depressed, then when USD is strong, sell for USD. you need a broker that will let you either transfer the stock to another with low/no fees or be able to sell for a specific currency and abuse this with low fees. also good luck, from what i understand this is a "very inside" (((clique))) to avoid fees which would wash any gains. Last point of consideration is, how much capital are you working with? Anything less than an amount that generates five figures a trade/swap wont be worth your time. You should be considering this with 8-9 figures. Not 4 or 5

>>58679198aids
BANG BANG BANG
It's over for the dow jones
>>58679000>CAPT Long term its a stupid idea, they make transparent glass displays so people can put ads on buildings. Ads on buildings already exist, so their main problem is going to be reducing cost of their product - transparent displays exist and are extremely expensive (a see-through tv runs about 3-10k). Long term I would wait a year before considering a buy. Short term TA looks good, I'd consider a buy at $2 since it might peak around mid-July. If you bought at $4 rip lmao just hold since it's probably at the bottom. >SCYX More promising long term, founded in '99 so they already have some experience under their belt in business management. Biotech is cool right now and their product seems novel so I would consider a buy if you can handle risk/low performance. Short term, TA also looks good, a lot of money has been flowing in even though the price is slowly dropping which is usually an indicator of upcoming bull, but Line Analysis suggests it will keep trending down to about $1.6 in first week of July. From there, it may drop further to $1.4 by the end of July, or it may rise to a peak of about $1.8 in mid-July. Either way, if you're net positive right now, or even only down 1-10% on this, I would sell and rebuy in July. >TL;DRI would look for other plays- while CAPT is likely at a bottom, max possible drawdown is probably 50% which is extremely high risk. SCYX has max possible drawdown of 26% with expected drawdown of 13%. Still very high risk and not a very high reward. >BasicallyIf you own CAPT, hold until you're only -30% and sell at a loss, if you own SCYX, sell immediately.
>>58679455After reviewing the options and taking a second look at the Lines, I'm a bit bullish on SCYX actually - I would hold until the end of this week and sell if it drops significantly below 5%. It MUST price correct to at least $1.8 but if it starts to go much lower it may drop again to $1.6 before it starts to bull.

>>58683964Its hard to price the call so it expires worthless. Most of the time you are selling calls to scalpers who buy and resell at higher stock volatility (which means higher price on the option) and it's next to impossible to time your call writing properly to make the most money. At the end of the day we went to one of the nearby country bars. It’s the kind of place that farmers, truckers and the working class go to unwind.President Biden was on the TV and the local gun store owner said, “You know what? He ain’t so bad. The economy is recovering, nobody’s rioting, and we’re standing up on the world stage again. >>58662561What work schedule should I do this Quarter6 a.m. - 2 p.m.7 a.m. - 3 p.m.8 a.m. - 4 p.m. 9 a.m. - 5 p.m.
>>58692788None of the above. To work is to die.
>>58692881I do agree but to not work is to starve.I thinking of 7 a.m. - 3 p.m.
Why did the market crash? It was starting so well.
>>58692895When I used to work, I'd do 10:30 to 6:15. No one will notice those 15 minutes missing.
>>586927887-3, especially if a robot with no social life. only reason to run a later schedule is if you like to go out later, otherwise traffic is better at those hours and if you work from home you just roll out of bed and hop on the computer, perfect time and nearly a whole afternoon
>>58693255That's what I am thinking, ty for confirming my bias

Are there any strategies to make use of my margin with the high rates they have now? It doesn't seem to make sense anymore. I don't want too much risk.
newb here, what's the catch about buying a 2x leveraged S&P 500 ETF?
>>58693718Only faggots buy 2x, get SPYU.
sell stonks
>>58693718Nothing, x2 is ideal for long term hold, but buying right before a crash could fuck you for a while before it recovers and outperforms again. Bears don't like it. x3 though is really for a short burst like buying during a crash to benefit from the recovery.
Is buying Gold ETFs, such as GLD or GLDM, a good idea at the moment?
So Paypal is dead?
>>58693718You see that blip in 2020 where it goes from $90 to $30. Imagine your $900,000 retirement going to $300,000. If you are a weak-wristed pansy, then you might look at this panic and try to become an hero. So the downside is that emotionally unstable impatient eunuchs get put on suicide watch.
>>58694845Don't forget that when it does go down your loss is amplified as well. It's best to buy when you think there will be a consistent run, and I think that's not now.
>>58695597who cares? 300k is still enough to retire
>>58695872>timing the marketok bro
>>58693718chop. when it crabs and then goes up it goes up less than it should.
>>58693718I tried that with a normal, a x2 and x3 ETF and I made the most with the normal x1 s&P500.but saying that I did it around 2021 which was a shit time to do it, they were in the red for months.I might try it again when there'sm another major dip.
Just need some basic confirmation I'm understanding everything here>have a workplace pension where my work contributes some and I contribute some out of my salary (total £200 a month)>just now opened an ISA (which means no capital gains tax, I think? I think the US equivalent is a Roth IRA?) and intend to invest in a growth fund (based on my reading it's mostly invested into indexes) that will reinvest any income from it - plan to put £200 in every time I get paid monthly, plus whatever I have remaining in my account from the previous month>if I plan any significant short/mid-term purchases (such as a holiday) I have a savings account to set the money aside in at 4% interest without impacting the above twoIs this what I should be doing if my goal is just long term growth over the next few decades?
>not buying the cruise stock dipi'm already up 20% on carnival
should I just go on EToro and copy somebody elses portfolio?I had this thought years ago but it was post covid and there were many portfolios but everyone looks like a pro in a bull market.
>>58696999they fcked up their copytrading thing a bit few months ago, so for example there is someone who bought nvidia 3years ago and its now 30% of his portfolio and when you copy him you will also open a buy nvidia position with 30% of your invested funds.. then nvidia dips and he doesnt care cus he's still up 1000% but your copytrade investment begins to turn red and he's still up 998% on his position and does not close italso its jewish and they will jew you for overnight fees, weekend fees etc. the money that you 'invest' also doesnt even make it to the real stock market they just have a glorified excel sheet with your buys and sells / CFD
>>58697008ok thanks that explanation does make sense. If someone has already made a profit on X stock that means I've already missed it out.for now I'll stick with regular S&P500 ETFs.
>>58696268You don't have to time it, maybe just don't buy a leveraged one at an all time high. And you're kind of trying to time it with a leveraged fund anyway since you are hoping your exit time isn't when it's wiped out at some point which may take a decade to recover from.
>>58696484the more that people think like this, the more likely this won't work, i know that. that said i lost all my savings on buying options.
>>58697125>buying instead of sellingretardalso options have nothing to do with index funds
>>58697129>sentiment and positioning is irrelevant to long term index fund holdingsalso, shut up :(
ultra normie non-biz person here. I wanted to get into etf investing but everyone keeps telling me the market is about to crash. how come everyone is capable of predicting the future? not trying to shitpost here I am legitimately curious.
>>58697364Just DCA into a standard S&P fund and maybe a total market fund and tech fund, you will almost never time the market correctly anyway. Unless a literal apocalyptic nuclear holocaust happens, the market will most likely go back up after a crash.
Here's a tip: Don't get into the market tomorrow.
>>58697416this, nigs have been calling for a crash since 2015

back after a long hiatus from this shit hole. Loaded up on SQQQ and TQQQ puts on Friday>>58697364markets are stretched way above the 200 day moving avg, it's getting more likely for a correction heading into fall. Your best bets for a long rn are healthcare, oil, and precious metals miners
>market hours>normal traders and businessmen conduct legitimate business>after hours>Jews and Rothschilds randomly decide which stocks to pump and which to fuck over
>>58697416stocks will always go up, but the issue is eventually they won't go up enough to match inflation. i.e. up in nominal terms, but not real terms
>>58698353inflation is companies jacking up prices, under what imaginary circumstances would that not lead to increased stock prices

>>58701477didnt their hero just get accused of scamming. also the stock they are culting over is a meme.
im moving to the new bread now.
>>58701477Why would GME bros be mad?Their stock is trading higher than it has for 2 years, and now backed up by massive capital raises that took advantage of a retard pump.Previously they had reason to be mad as their entire thesis was coping that a dying business is secretly not dying.Only baggies are the retards that bought at $25+ thinking Keith Gill is on their side.
So that's why matthew mchauneghey talked about jacking off so much at the beginning of wolf on wallstreet. its benign children sacrificing
