What is the scientific or psychological reason for why it’s so much easier to buy high and sell low? Why is the norm to lose capital?

because you want it when its valuable and dont want it when its not valuable.
when youre up you wish you had more
when youre down you wish you never bought

>Wow! Price go up! It must be good! Buy buy buy!
>Wow! Price go down! It must be bad! I ain't touching that shit
>>
It is easier to succumb to your fears than to face them head on.

imagine walking to your bus stop, do you run to the broken down rusty bus with no wheels, or do you run to the bus that's at the stop picking people up and about to leave?
>>
>>58693078
Ok but why does that translate to losing? The good bus should be better.
>>
>>58693093
Everyone's already on the bus, there's no one else to pick up. It can only drop off passengers.
>>
>>58693045
Because the market is manipulated ultimately.

I run to any bus that will get me away from the bus station full of vagrants that have turned it into their home.

cause emotions are a lagging indicator
>>
Because you are a follower, a normie, an "npc", destined for a life of wagery and servitude. You buy the top and sell the bottom because you ARE the top and bottom, you just go with the flow, it's your programming. It's not a horrible evolutionary choice, which is why there's so many of you, it just leads to mediocre lives.

Fuck, guess I'm retarded.
Bought FAC on red, sold on green

You (know) that long term, everything will go up*
*Technically what happens is the fiat is losing value, so it looks like everything is going up.
Because of this, it's easier to be afraid of missing out on shooting up to the next price discovery and never have a chance to buy that low again -- while things are going down, you can just chill and tell yourself that worst case, you wait it out, and you'll be right back to where things were.

Just don't sell. If you're not selling, you're not losing money. Just buy something and forget about it.

This is the answer, and the more you overcome the fear the more opportunities you will be able to seize in life.

we just thought OP was looking for more elaboration than
>it feels bad to lose
>>
>>58693045
I don't think that's the norm. If you buy high and sell low you are seriously someone that shouldn't touch this stuff.
>>
its super easy to buy low sell high but you always think you're selling too early, but if you buy high sell low you're just panicking cause you think it's going to keep going down
