Bump. I genuinely would like to discuss this. NOT to defraud the government.
I've read about owner financing where the seller holds the note. You find a house ready to be lived in for $100k. Give $20k down payment. Finance the rest at 6.5% for 30 years. Comes out to about $500 a month mortgage. Consider taxes and home insurance that might be another $500 a month. Charge $1500 to rent the home. $500 passive income a month.
Now, who to rent to. I've heard rent it to veterans through some government program that subsidizes rent for veterans. Or possibly even section 8 (I know..). A house selling for $100k is likely not going to be in a prime location for young liberal cat people but especially with lack of housing these days, I think it'll rent.

Also what is up with /biz/ it appears no one comments. All posts are sub 10 comments. This place was such a shithole I am not surprised.
