There is no volume baggies, it will dump again, and again, and again.
ok /biz/explain to me RIGHT NOW, THIS VERY SECOND,why EVERY fucking mouth on anime girls is drawn like this now (pic related)Why can't it be a single line????? Why is there a gap?(Must the gap be filled?)Seriously EXPLAIN THIS to me
pic related, back when I watched anime this was not the normand actually yes there is volume OP
>>58698135Less is more, you are symbol drawing in anime so instead of drawing a realistic mouth you are drawing an impression of a mouth which leaves your mind to fill in the blanks and automatically recognize that symbol as a mouth. Moe cannot exist in the three dimensional form therefore you need to "imply" form rather than convey it otherwise the mouth will look uncanny and the entire face will be out of place.
I want to kiss anime girl
>>58698135>>58698146Bocchi mouth design. The other girls on the show have regular drawn mouth lines
>>58698153Fuck moeIt never used to be like thisI want an explanation for why it changedEven the most degenerate animes from my puberty did not have this
>>58698166That looks too modern, is this really what started it?
A stupid cat's tooth, yes, but never a Mouth GapI demand to know what caused this
>>58698169It changed because you forget that anime is animation on the cheap, it's much easier to animate the mouth that way and as long as it looks good in motion and under budget the design will be adopted before something else undercuts it.
>>58698177Now that's a take I like. I still want to trace it to its origins (a hopeless endeavor I'm sure). I'm kind of on the fence though, isn't 2 lines more work than 1?Economically speaking.
Kinda funny though,>no nose>sometimes no eyes, sometimes 1 eye>2 lined mouththe levels of abstraction have reached new levels, and indeed not drawing the eyes or nose is definitely cheaper and faster
>>58698184Remember that part about implying form? The missing line you see is supposed to represent the tip of the mouth just like how noses are just a dot but that dot is implying the tip of the nose and it actually move/follows perspective during animation.
>>58698169>>58698175>>58698176>>58698184>>58698187THERE IS STILL REGULAR MOUTH LINES EVERYWHERE IN MODERN ANIME STOP YOUR SCHIZO THEORY
>>58698189Yeah I get that. I mean, I understand the stylistic choice. Just curious where it started becoming very popular. >>58698193kek'd >but you posted a sideview anon
>>58698135the corners of your mouth don't close as tightly as the center, so the center reflects more light due to its flatter profile. The gap represents the region of lesser shading at the center of the lips.
>>58698049It's over bocchi you didn't bought BTC at 58k you will forever be a ngmi
>>58698206It started from using the dot as a nose, Ubel doesn't use that dot as her nose.
>>58698222Also notice the slight curve for the tip of her lips, that's why it's easier to animate with the gap.
>>58698211>pic + casual explanationaudibly kek'd again God I hope the jeets don't come back to ruin this board.Thank me later OP for turning your thread into the best of 2024 on /biz/ >>58698222Ok ok but where did the dot start!?i like the dot
>>58698231wakarimashita
>>58698166
>>58698243The dot start when somebody figured out they can churn out content faster, cheaper and get more results done.
dot noses are ok
