A judge ruled Google a monopoly and is considering how to break up the company. Berg’s are already writing articles saying google can’t/won’t be broken up. Is this a replay of Microsoft, where they were ruled a monopoly and killed it through bribing judges? Or will we see a replay of AT&T in the 80’s, ruled a monopoly, broken up, but the company reassembled in what experts compared to terminator?
>>
>>58878819
maybe just breaking it up over and over is the only way
>>
They legally can’t break up the foreign entities right? So does alphabet US get broken up but there’s like some giant alphabet EU and Asia entity still around? No idea how anti-trusts work
>>
>>58878823
Yeah but the tribe members behind google say it can’t be broken up because 2/3 of the revenue is from the search engine. Chrome is free, android is free, YouTube they ignore. You know how these fuvks will play it in court
>>
>>58878833
Probably but a decision here in the USA would have repercussions in other parts. It might not change things but it would push things in the right direction. Google controlling many normies access to the internet just because the CIA picked these Jews is bad for everyone
>>
>>58878840
They could just buy back the pieces they want from the international Corp I feel like though, but maybe that price tag alone will have some consequences. I’m just trying to get a handle on how anti-trust works from an international/multipolar corporations perspective.
>>
Monopoly means they are damn good at their job aka taking money from consumer pigs and dipping into gov funds and avoiding taxes.
The only way to really fuck them over is to nationalize it, instant game over for the whole white jewish scum.
Want to fight it? court martial and treason charges.
>>
>>58878823
We could break it up and just completely dissolve the company
>>
>>58878849
International doesn’t matter idiot
Only the US is important
Where are you from
>>
>>58878865
>just kill off the worldwide search engine
>why
>they are used too much!! we need russian and chinese search engines with spyware instead!
>>
>>58878875
You know they killed off American search engines to create that honeypot? You fuvking glowtards will say anything to make google look not evil
>>

there's not going to be a google break-up.

people are too young to understand but in the 90s the doj tried to break up microsoft (which actually did have a massive monopoly in the OS market back then). and even this monopoly didnt get broken up, so why should they break up google search now, which is much less of a monopoly than microsoft was back then?

Brave on my android doesn't work properly now, i cant use site:.au or - searches anymore.
>>
>>58878924
They did tame back some of its practices considerably though like the browser embedding.

I think the example is apt though because, like Microsoft, Alphabet is getting heemed by new tech having grown complacent with its monopoly and it's main product has been enshittened to the point that LLMs are now being used as search engines.

Still butthurt this never took off. Imagine if instead of generic corporate personalities we had AI with the voice an mannerisms of a 1920s butler.
>>
>>58878924
Because it’s the law. The law doesn’t state if Microsoft gets away with it so can others. Also it’s in everyone’s best interest except glowpigs and google

It's going to be impossible to break up Google just from a spinoff viability issue. The entire point of every Google product is to funnel more information back to HQ. There's no way to make Chrome or Android profitable without them effectively acting as an arm of Google anyway
>>

>There's no way to make Chrome or Android profitable without them effectively acting as an arm of Google anyway
Not our problem. They’re in violation of antitrust laws, if they can’t make this businesses viable without breaking the law, then they deserve to collapse and a competitor will pick up the slack
Brave does what chrome does but better anyway
>>

bro it's based on chromium lol

It’s too powerful by itself

How Google is still popular is a mystery to me
I guess people just don't like change

Chrome sucks compared to Firefox
Google is a terrible search engine and has been for a decade
Gemini is just way worse chat gpt literally trained on Reddit
>>
>>58878924
The only reason Microsoft didn't get broken up is because Bush stole the election and defanged the officials who were in charge of the case.
>>
I think they just need to dissolve Chrome. Google isn't allowed have a web browser and everyone's Chrome browser gets deleted.

I think users have a major role to play like publishers switching from ads based monetizing platform to Hydro Online which doesn't rely on ads.

It's a nothing burger, the case is about how google is the default search engine on most devices. They will change it so you have to chose your search engines while setting up your device, most people will choose Google anyway. Absolute Nothing burger.
>>
>>58888073
AdSense is a bit of a hassle with all its strict rules, but MediaNet, Hydro, and Ezoic are more laid-back.
They’have their own pros and cons thou, the best choice depends on what you’re after.
But it’s usually a good idea to try them out and see which one works best for your site,
>>
>>58882315
This. Let’s end google already. The search engine and YouTube are too big to be owned by the same company and the android/phone/chromebook department should be split off too. That’s at least 3 companies and they can let chrome go with one of the 3
>>
>>58883766
this can make the web seamless. can't say how fucked up ads can be some times
>>
>>58887960
the most important thing is not totally relying on institutional money. that way, they can drive decentralization without hitches

>>58884143
kek. after suffering from Adsense for a long time, i had to find a viable alternative.
they have a better algorithm and payment system
