Do I work at the Post Office for $20.5 /hr 35 hours a week.or do I work a forklift job for almost $22 an hour 12 hours a day, likely 70+ hours a week. Both jobs are within 3 miles of my house, and I'm told they're both easy.I'm almost broke!
>>58989934you will want to kill yourself if you do 70 hours a week longterm. but do that if you really need the money immediately. post office seems like a better longterm plan if you want to work there until you retire. I assume they still have benefits there right?
>>58989934Enjoy your forklift life. Smooth operator operating correctly.
>>58989934forklift is more noble
>>58989984didnt mean to post as kramer ignore that
>>58989957I want to buy groceries and again make my $70k trugg payment and pay off credit card debt.Post office does have benefits and I get along with guy there well. I also run small biz so that's another 20-35 hours a week right now.>>58989984Thanks.
>>58990006If you are already running a business probably best to take the easier job, no? Paying off debt quickly would be nice but you're probably going to get tired of those hours
>>58989984I thought Newman was your friend.>>58989989You've screwed me again Pennypacker.
>>58990025Thanks. Post office application site won't load, I'll try again!
Post office. Government job right? The benefits you can rack up in the long term being a gov employee are stellar. Forks cool but you'll never have time to plot your future or need to give up sleep for that.
Let's say you miraculously turn 24 again, but you have nothing to your name (for better or worse), where would you go career wise from here?
>>58989934Which job has less overweight sheboons as potential coworkers?
>>58990006>$70k trugg paymentYou are a retarded animal. Sell it off and get a basic bitch shitbox sedan. Try to buy used.Get the post office job unless you're gonna lose your home. The APWU is pretty strong according to a family member who worked at a distribution facility for a few years. And you won't wanna kill yourself working 70+ hours. But seriously, sell/trade the fucking truck.
100% post office. You can move up very easily, they have a hard time retaining people due to rough neighborhoods and working on saturdays. If you can get through the first rough patch you are all set.>t. not a carrier but have a friend and some family members that are
>>58989934post office. you get a pension if you do 20 years. https://www.opm.gov/retirement-center/fers-information/
>>58990006>$70k trugg payment>choosing between $20-22/hour jobsi make $120k a year and i would never dream of spending more than $25k on a vehicle. you're a fucking retard. sell the truck and get something you can afford.
>>58989984bullshit. no girl will date a forklift operator unless you want some SEAmonkey flip. USPS is based. you get every major holiday off, paid if it falls on a weekday, every Sunday off and a based retirement pension. can't even compare the USPS chad to an overworked, faglift operator
>>58990006>$70k truck paymentits over
people say long term post office, but automation and lack of letters is killing hours and why no one wants to join. it's all packages and you'd rather use a forklift. there's just too much shit that can happen in 10 years, especially if you're <40. so people feel "trapped" in the post office for the benefits/retirement. forklift and just hope orange man puts no tax overtime
>>58989934Post office since its secure as fuck and unionized so its hard to fire you
>>58989934Will you be delivering mail or working at a sorting center? If it's a sorting center just rope yourself now.
>>58990172usps is a union government job. chances of layoff are 0%
>>58990275with the recent implementation of dejoy those chances are looking more likely. in july dejoy announced plans to cut workforce by 50,000. whilst maybe not outright saying it, they'll just make it unbearable so people leave, starting with the union. you need overtime to make money here (which they're already trying to cut) because a sizable percent of your income goes to benefits/retirement and even then it'll take 12 years to cap out for an average 70k
>>58990259Clerk at front desk / back office operations at small post office.
>>58989934Post office.
>>58990564oh yea without a doubt post office then.
>>58990567>>58990572Thanks. Stupid website won't load, going to talk to my buddy there tomorrow.
>>58989934Forklift is fucking ASS.. but if you can tolerate that and the hrs, do that short term to buy bags.
>>58989934forklift chads are far more respectable and noble and you will screw your back less, you can also get some unicorn.meme airdrops while at work, i used to have a laptop and they let me use it when i wasnt using the forklift
