My only question is how do you sell when you want to cash in? A bullion dealer isn't going to allow you to try and sell your entire or a large portion of your treasure horde and they're not going to sell you the full value, so what do you do in that case?
>>
>>59091631
great image.
I say this over and over, but the whole system is built upon everyone holding ALL of their assets in some form of credit. Insurance, banks & Wallstreet are all bankrupt. The Fed's are bankrupt. And almost every piece of "capital" owned by people are leveraged such as real estate, cars etc. Even stocks/equities are highly leveraged and often worth pennies on the dollar in terms of assets. (That's the grift on equities, the banks leveraged up and overbought them and then YOUR 401k contributions go to pay for them at those overpriced amounts).
It's all a stinking pile of dung contingent upon new money creation to fill the gaps.

Actually they do. It all comes down to how much fiat they have on hand. But lets be real here, people will be swapping their legal tender precious metal coins for goods instead and bypass the fiat/CBDC system.
>>
>>59091656
Dealers will have connections and a waiting list of people looking to buy. They make money on the spreads so if they need inventory they will want to buy it and then call up their friends to come buy it.
It's the same as sports bookies who can match up bets on a lopsided football game such as Ohio State vs some no-name college that gets blown out 75-0.

But isn't this supposed to be more than a survivalist investment? Don't get me wrong, the neoliberal bubble is bound to burst as every currency experiment since dropping the gold standard has, but I still see this as a buy-low sell-high investment to gather extra money every now and again.

Ppl in South America loved to poke holes in their coins back in the 1800s. Often to stitch them on dresses & caps, it was used as dawry for weddings for example. Literally sewing your coins on your clothes to flex on the neighbors (and have money availible if shtf and you need to leave in a hurry).

Few months back i won an auction for lot of x200 ancient silber SA coins (sold by the weight), and literally 199 of them were holed kek.

>>

But your question assumes that the "currency experiment" meaning fiat dollars collapses (and I agree). So there will not BE any fiat dollars to sell bullion for. Gold and silver will BE money. There will be other attempts to launch currency as well - maybe BRICS. But the days when the value of everything is measured in dollars will be gone never to return.
>>
I don’t know about you all... but because of Corona this is the first time since college that I’ve felt alive. I have lots of silver and been waiting for something like this to happen for 5 years. The point where things get so bad that 1 silver merc dime will buy me a blowjob from a formerly well to do housewife and her 18 year old daughter at the same time. I’ve been waiting in the shadows laughing at these cuck husbands who buy their wives range rovers instead of buying silver bullion... knowing that I’ll be face fucking their wives mouths for the 1.30$ it cost me to buy that silver dime. Just yesterday at Whole Foods I seamlessly entered into conversation about Corona with a roastie milf that had a ring on her finger in the water aisle... and I said this is all a cover for trump to bring us back on a gold standard. She started looking at me in amazement like she wanted me to paint her lips in cum. At the end of the conversation I’m like take my number l have plenty of protection and freeze dried food if you ever need it and she took it from me.

Perhaps I didn't understand your question. I think for most stackers PMs are a long term store of wealth intended to weather the storm of the collapse of the global debt bubble. That isn't a "survivalist investment" but a prudent allocation of wealth into low risk assets in a very high risk environment. If you are looking to make dollars in the short term, there are probably better things to gamble on.

>>

If you look at the gold lifetime chart, this is not sustainable. It'll drop. Not to nothing but definitely off of this high.

People who say otherwise are experiencing delusional market exuberance.
>>
>>59092912
Currency debasement wont magically stop tomorrow. Government's spendings will continue to outpace our growth. You think it's ATH but all i see are the symptoms of a diseased, dying economic system where jewish vultures are the only ones feasting upon it's carcass. They don't even want to save it, just vampirize it until nothing is left.
Just like my mom, it would have been better for you to purchase yesterday, but today will always be better than tomorrow.

If the mental blocage about buying the top is too strong (and i can understand that, it's never easy to buy the top), then go for silver. It's been performing as well as gold for a while, but we still are a long way from previous ATH. And the huge deficits in silver output each year combined with it's production's inelasticity guarantee good performances for the foreseeable future.

I like the early 1900s US currency examples as a contrast from when gold and paper were supposed to be equivalent. If you saved the $20 bill, you could buy a fast food meal in 2024. If you saved the $20 gold coin, you could cover a month of expenses.

Personally i prefer to tell them, so if something happens to me, they know where it is and how to access it (i gave them a double of my safe's keys and told them what to look for). If i die i want my loved ones to profit from my efforts rather than it being lost. Plus i hope seeing my gains will eventually motivate them to finally protect their savings for real. It really make me seethe to see all their cash in the bank getting slowly ate away by currency devaluation. It's decades of hard work they wont get to enjoy if they don't do anything to protect themselves, i really don't understand normies sometimes... It's not like it's an inhuman effort to go online and click the *purchase x100 gold & silver* button ffs.

Because while the talmudvision repeat 24/7 everything is going fine, behind the scene richfags are slurping like crazy while they can. And richfags are following what central banks do.
For now it's only gold by mimetism, and because ppl still can afford gold, but once they wont be able to, it will be silver's day to shine.

Also once central banks start to stack silver it will be a huge signal we enter in the "buy whatever can be bought while others nations still accept our digital zeros" zone.

Actually it is thought that platinum is slightly more common than gold, like there's ~15-20% more platinum on the Earth crust than gold. However less than half of it can be mined, and is much harder than gold to mine and refine, making it rarer than gold (just not 30x).

Platinum prices can skyrocket, just like rhodium and palladium, especially during periods of economic growth. It's a bet, while gold is a safety net. They work very differently but I like having a small bit of pt in my stack.

I think this is correct. If Russia really is slurping silver, China won't be far behind (if it isn't already in the lead). Whatever you think of the Russians and the Chinese, don't imagine they are stupid. They know the weakness in the USD and the history of gold and silver. When silver was a de facto monetary standard for much of the world, China was front and center in minting. Take a look in World Coins at how many different types of silver "dollars" China minted during the silver age. I stack both gold and silver, but I think the silver prophets are correct.

These here are the genuine options:

1. Quantitative tightening (currency destruction)
2. Gold is found and mined faster
3. Central banks sell their gold on the market in mass

Bit short-sighted, eh? We should all be as concerned about being right as we are about being wrong. Things are going to SUCK for a good while when we're right.

I was trying to explain to a nice older couple about PMs and I was really struggling to break their desire to measure metal in dollars. In my own mind, I still struggle to see dollars in PMs instead despite what I know.

All of us have been so focused on the USD for so long that the day we collectively discover it's true value (which is zero as we all know) will be an event so catastrophic that I think it will be the new analogy for catasrohpes.

"Man, that big dam in China broke like the US Dolla y'all!"

I think it's even worse than that, I think most people simply never consider gold at all anymore. Oh, sure, buying a necklace or wedding band, you find out how expensive it is. But I think people just assume that is due to it being in jewelry. "Real jewelry is expensive".

I think most people are a handful of honest critical questions away from completely toppling their whole belief structure, it's just that they're never forced to ask, let alone answer those questions.

Better question, how long before a wheelbarrow full of cash buys a loaf of bread?

I literally FOMO'd a $4600 purchase yesterday and am not feeling too bad about it. Things feel different this time and I am not sure how much longer we can anticipate tamp-downs on the physical price.

But silver isnt and hasnt gone anywhere only the 20s to the 30s. Gold is making all time highs and by the time we are in 2025 we will be a lot higher on gold then now.

I pray for another crash so I can stack.

Speaking of, why is everyone confident we won't see another crash? Inflation is no where near as bad as it was in the 80s and our economy isn't that much worse than it was in 2010. I'm sure people at the time thought the dollar was collapsing and that gold/silver were going to moon. What's to stop the same thing happening this time?
>>
>>59096217
I wouldn't count on it if I were you. The debt bubble is unlike anything ever seen in history. Inflation is just taking a breather after evaporating 20% of the value of the dollar in two years. Employment is a joke. The USA is involved in two hot wars and provoking a third. Nations with half the world GDP are plotting openly to dethrone the dollar. And the country is so divided politically that the two sides don't just disagree, they HATE each other passionately. There is no road forward that doesn't pass through global economic disaster.

In PM circles everyone will insist fiat price is irrelevant, until they are up at which point they are gloating pigs. They don't know anything about another crash, they only know they feel good about their stacks for the first time in a long time (looking at your silvertards).

I bought all of my silver for around $15/oz. I’ve been feeling good for a while.
