No matter how hard I try, I can never get a hold of my emotions in this schizo bipolar clown space. I keep panic selling and fomoing no matter how hard I resist the urge to. I'm absolutely terrified of losing money, especially after the bear market ptsd of 2022. I recently bought some ai-gaming hybrid token out of desperation. Anything I buy, just crabs forever or crab-dumps towards 0 and then I sell out of frustration (of course, some of that shit instantly gigapumps the next day after I sell like clockwork). Everything else around me that I don't buy pumps to oblivion, leaving me behind in the dust. Whenever I do score a win on a token, I never put nearly enough money into it before the big pump and I always end up with baby sized profits.

To get a gauge on my desperation, I've only gained a meagre 10% in my portfolio since the big bitcoin runup while everyone else around me and here has already 2-3x'd their portfolios since the big btc pump. I've been in this space since late 2020 and I'm still over 40% down from my breakeven (portfolio $56k, $25k of that is USDC, buy-in $100k - granted I did take a few k's out over the past year to pay bills).

I'm so tired bros. Please fucking help me for once!!! AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA

Allowing emotions to play into your decision making in financial markets is a recipe for disaster.

Create a plan during bear markets and stick with it no matter what happens. Do not let the inevitable feelings of FOMO and greed interfer with the plan. Accept that you will miss out on some gains. Chasing trends in a bull market is gambling, not trading.
>>
>>59223900
checked and fpbp
>>
>>59225333
And by not chasing trends I’m not saying to ignore memecoins or new trends. But during bear market you should have already allocated a % of your stack for it.

>When Doge kicks off memecoin season, sell 5% of portfolio and spread it across X number of memecoins
>If Blackrock creates a RWA fund, sell 10% of portfolio and spread it across X number of RWA coins

If you dont have a plan you will become exit liquidity for the people who do. Simple as

Already holding Pepe and STX til the end of the bull next year, but I did buy them pretty late. STX still has some room left to pump (assuming). I thought overdiversification stagnated your portfolio? That's what happened to me last bull and I missed out on incredibly significant gains doing that.

You need to just dca into blue chips and stop watching the charts. If you get emotional over your crypto losses then gambling on memes and alts isn’t for you. Just dca into BTC and a few other top 20 and don’t look back. Hold for the long term
>>
>>59225419
Overdiversification is bad in general, yes. But not when you’re using a small percentage of your portfolio to gamble on extremely high risk/high reward scenarios.

80-95% of your folio should not change during the bullrun. If you hit the memecoin jackpot and your memecoins suddenly make up +50% of your portfolio, funnel profits into BTC and rebalance back to 80-95%. Repeat every 4 years.
>>
>>59223715
You’re panic selling because you’re participating in a nigger scamming hellhole. Just buy a quality low cap alt and sell in 2025. There are a few threads in the catalogue featuring such coins.

I was like that last cycle. Waking up at 4am to check charts, dreaming about crypto. I learned I don't have the emotional aptitude to swing trade. Drove me fucking crazy. Or maybe I'm a retard. I just hold now and wait. I still check the charts way too often - that's for the dopamine shot, still addicted to it. There's really no reason for me to check the charts more than once a week or month, but I still do it. At least I'm not fucking punching the wall selling dips and buying tops. It seems like most people suck at trading and the number of people "making it big" off memecoins is heavily inflated solely so people get suckered into buying them and hoping to luck out.

Guess its just more stressful having more money invested too.

Coming on /biz/ everyday when you're new is a recipe for disaster. It's a mix of some good threads but most of them are designed to do your head in and shake you out. Intentionally and unintentionally. Also, Youtube faggots will get you to zig when you should zag - they are only interested in the shekels. Set reasonable price targets based on your needs, not greed. Greed is a drug. This is gambling, essentially - it's a vice. When it's pumping it fools you into believing you're smarter than you are. All those people end up round-tripping their coins.

So far in this thread, in typical biz fashion, has been 99% platitude patronizing advice that you hear everywhere:
> "Crypto ain't for you dude, just dca into the S&P500 and wait 40 years bro"
> "Just invest in bitcoin and wait 40 years bro"
> "don't invest in garbage" - I'm assuming that means everything but bitcoin? then how come people get 20x's through 500x's like they're candy on the other coins, no matter which point of the cycle they're in? something y'all aren't telling me, hmm? and no, "it's just insiders bro" is only half true, i've seen norms pull these types of returns all the time and they aren't insiders - there's a specific strategy they use that of course gets hidden from the general public ON PURPOSE
> "JUST BUY AND HOLD AND GET A 2X OR GET RUGGED/BAGHOLD BRO, NOT MY PROBLEM HAHAHAHAHAHAHA"
> "it's over, just give up bro"
> more dave ramsey clickbait bs

Can't say I'm surprised at all since this is biz, but I'm still disappointed. Biz I imagine was once great before the 2021 cycle. X is also a giant click farm shithole for advice too, when it used to be decent before shitfluencers took over that. Nowhere else to go for GENUINE advice these days? Any responses I receive that fall along the lines of, "BAHAHAHAH YOU'LL NEVER MAKE IT WITH THAT ATTITUDE!" I'll simply ignore.

P.S.: The only good advice I got in this thread was investing during the bear (and that response about investing in some micros and rolling into btc), but problem with that was what if you picked the wrong coins during the bear like me? Not everything is guaranteed to 10x+ from bear market levels - signed, a former VRA investor who eventually capitulated to the reality of VRA being a scam while everything else around me already 5-10x'd back in 2023 (that's ultimately how I missed out on this bullrun if you were all wanting to know)

the internet is just like the real world now. everybody is a fucking non believer and shits on you whenever you have a promising idea or new way of doing things. we're all just stuck in the same cycle of repeating the same shit over and over again until person on screen tells us something new to repeat. this will never change.

Look into bot call channels on telegram (humans aren't making the calls so it's not like the coins you'll see in the channel are being posted cause the owner got paid by the people who made the coin being posted)

This is probably one of the best call channels I've been in, much better results than ones where people make the calls

Here's a more genuine answer;

A.) OP hasn't stated at all what it is he's actually buying, whether it's legitimately pump and dump private tracker shitcoins or anything in the higher market caps.
B.) Unreasonable expectations in unrealistic time frames; if he's legimately expecting to get 10x after 10x over a few weeks / months, that is not going to happen.
C.) He may actually have been or currently still be holding things that would appreciate in value if he had more than a few days / weeks worth of patience (this is difficult to tell due to the sparse information supplied but seems likely based on what is there).
D.) He is late. The time to accumulate was really months to a year ago.
E.) There are still some possible options so long as he's willing to be patient and not expecting 1000x; e.g. Polkadot is one of the higher mcap coins that still hasn't really shown much growth. E.g. look at the image. That's ripple on the left, stellar lumens in the middle and polkadot on the right. They're all roughly the same market cap in the same grouping on coinmarket cap. Notice what polkadot hasn't done yet that both the other two just have. Also notice the rsi etc indicator repeating what it did prior to its last mini run. Its obviously not guaranteed it will produce a huge return, but that is one of the more realistic remaining options*, I've already converted some of my gain to dollarinoes and I've not lost tens of thousands of dollars in the process. This is one of the few examples where I've reinvested some of the gain into something else rather than just banking it. Patience is important.
E*.) Actual private tracker shitcoins are not a realistic option.

>I'm absolutely terrified of losing money
The phrase "scared money don't make money" is literally real.

But the key is to stop being scared by casually depersonalizing the process, not larping as le cool badass guy. You treat it like a game, like numbers on a screen.

Both the Haves and the Have Nots of society typically hold certain attitudes towards money that blind them: the poors view it as too heavy, too serious of a thing - so they don't allow themselves to turn it into a game, so they never take risks - so they never make it. Whereas the wealthy view money as *too much* of a game, and forget that it's also a very serious and somber burden for a lot of people who aren't financially secure. They become too detached and heartless.

You need to learn how to have fun unironically. Turn it into a game. Mere numbers on a screen. If you shrug when you lose, you're getting there, but if you also shrug when you win, you've ascended.

And risk it on one turn of pitch-and-toss,
And lose, and start again at your beginnings

And so hold on when there is nothing in you
Except the Will which says to them: ‘Hold on!’
