And what do you have learned?
>>
>>59224467
Not a lot of actual money, but I did loss like 20k on paper gains. The lesson was that even devs with a good trail could go rogue at any moment
>>
>>59224467
I bought $CHEB and lost and I didn’t feel like taking my momey off Base so I went into frogga tyrone with my remainder
>>
>>59224467
I bought AVI off the bridge hype that turned out to be a farm
>>
>>59224526
the lesson is that just because a project has a reasonable product doesn't exclude it from being a scam
>>
>>59224467
Not sure how much technically. I bought 23 BSV back when it first forked. Cost like $1500. Eventually these were worth $10k. I should have sold them but instead I made a very conservative leverage trade at 2.5x. Liquidated after Craig lied about his iceberg sale of BTC. I mistakenly expected each token to be worth $1200 and much more but learned a valuable lesson on believing narcissistic conmen. The real sad part is I sold 4k LINK at 36 cents to buy the BSV. Had I just held the LINK I would have done much better. So I like to think I lost $1500, but depending on how you look at it, I lost $10k or missed out on as much as $208,000. No, I do not think Craig is Satoshi. I hope he is given prison time for fraud or that he simply dies in a fire. I have not bought any crypto since, instead I have saved close to $20k and am waiting for the bottom of the bear market.
>>
I learned that dealing with crypto is gambling period. And that I'm not into it.
>>
>>59224467
I lost $40k (not paper gains, real money). And learned not to invest into "serious" utility coin projects and not to trust jews.
>>
>>59224467
currently down 18% on Doge which is painful.
>>
>>59224467
So many losses. So many lessons. I'm more in debt than when I started. And I got in because I wanted to pay off my debt. But the biggest lessons of all is that this whole space a ponzi scheme. It's casino for those of us who won't do the work and actually create value and just want to get lucky with a gamble. Doesn't matter how much you learn about the ins and outs. It will always be gamble.

When did you bought? 18% down after a 4x in a month?
>>
>>59226243
I am an idiot newfag with no knowledge that bought bitcoin randomly a year ago.
I have done a 2x and took some profit out.
How can you lose money on this shit?

spent about $3000 of my BTC stack on HOKK
a few celebrities started shilling it at the time and I was hoping it would become the next SHIB

I haven't lost anything.
losses have been counteracted by gains and I am investing my gains, invested a grand of gains yesterday, down like 5%, but that's nothing, gotta hold and wait and see.

the only lesson is to buy Bitcoin and hold it for at least 5 years to see massive gains

E V E R Y altcoin is a scam or will be dethroned one day

altcoins are a Ponzi scheme with greed as a fuel and only BTC matters in the long run
>>
>>59226243
I think that mindset is what makes you lose honestly. First of all, investing money you can't afford to lose by getting into debt, that's gambling addiction, the fact that each loss puts you in more debt makes you way more likely to panic sell or fomo buy. You're not playing a game here, you're only playing your emotions, people who are patient and in control always make it. Instead of putting all your money in a shitcoin, lose it and then post pink wojaks, why not allocate a little money in many projects that you find reasonable (there are many ways to do this, it's not just guessing), one mooning makes up for all the loses.
I know this because I also saw it as gambling and lost it all in 2021. I don't take loans anymore, I have big savings and whenever I invest in something after it goes up reasonably enough I take out my initial investment so I'm never at a loss, it also helps with the peace of mind which leads to better decisions too.
>>
>>59228168
Also this, whenever you make gains please allocate them in bitcoin and don't be greedy, bitcoin will always hit a new ATH in a couple of years, meanwhile shitcoins might never recover when they go down.
>>
>>59224467
I invested basically half my winnings from the 2017 bullrun on DASH. Rode it down like 80% before selling. This is how I basically lost every profit I made from my first bullrun.
Lesson was to put stoplosses, and never get to invested in alts
>>
I bought $10000 worth of link last year
Saw it rise to 21k
Held
Dipped to 8k

Lesson learned never holding chainlink again and never holding a bag when I have doubled or tripled my investment

Generally its 2 things...

Sell early
Ride the -99%
I have done both, assuming i had made perfect decisions in both cases i "lost" 4.5 million.

I thought the harder lesson of the 2 was riding the -99 and mathematically its worse, but the one that hurts the most mentally is selling to early.

My most recent was selling half then half again and then some more of original pepe pump leaving me with a 6b stack instead of 25b....just to get a few eth back.
>>
>>59228202
This is the most important lesson. Once you secure some gain, always park some on btc and never ever touch it unless your life literally depends on it.
>>
>>59224467
not so much as it happened early, but at the time it was about 2000 USD, which was like 80% of my folio. i put it all into some shitcoin called pawthereum because i fell for kevin o'leary's twitter shilling tricks.
learned to never ever put money into animal or memecoins, currently close to breaking into 6 figs.
>>
>>59224467
73k
>>
>>59224467
2k on a frog coin. Eth gas fees were triple digits so I was too much of a bitch to bounce when it did 20%.
>>
>>59224467
I've lost everything, which was about $430k
>>
>>59224467
I learned crypto the hard way. That’s why I’m only into low cap promising utility tokens like Natix, Dimo, and Storj.
>>
>>59226016
Currently banking some passive gains through the Drive& app DePIN, fag.
>>
>>59229037
how??
>>
>>59229696
didn't sell my alts in January 2018, and then married a shitty altcoin that missed the 2021 bullrun, by 2022 it was all gone pretty much, only like $2k was left, took the remaining dregs tried to leverage trade, did really good for a month then got liquidated for the everything left.
>>
>>59224467
>>59224485
You only loss when you sell.

>Base
Bag AUKI instead and stay comfy, anon. That's the legit DePIN play on Base rn.
>>
>>59229766
nigger get it through your head, NOBODY makes money consistently while leverage trading. you WILL get rekt at some point.
>>
>>59224467
Like 100 dollars. I don't invest nor make a lot of money. Part-time post grad with no career insight.
>>
>>59224467
Down 20% on Pepe, pain is real. Balancing it out with TON rewards from farming shitcoins on Boinker. We keep pushing.
>>
>>59224467
$280k down to $1.5k from may 2021 down to 2024.
It was ersdl, I was the 30th wallet that bought but never sold. It's paper loss though.

almost everything I've saved up it was on mexc the whole order book is a lie the site is a scam the best part it's better to trade the scams there's maybe a handful of people in the room if you're alone with the market maker they take your money if you're there with some other "traders" you can actually make some money long bottoms and short tops only be patient as fuck don't use much leverage it's free money until you're along with the market maker he'll get something out of you if you're winning too much so don't be greedy sol memecoins are the best scams to get in on early solana has been doing some illegal shit ever since that one guy got sent to jail and they were caught doing whatever the fuck they were doing it's at the same time some of the easiest money on the planet and some of the hardest listen to your paranoia 100mil volume part the charts revolving around your fucking orders it's fake as fuck wait for something to happen before every "trade" legitimate exchanges are worse than the scam ones with these things too there's no fast way to make money unless you're willing to play with solana and get in on their scam meme coins you can make a little holding eth or bitcoin but it's never enough to satisfy a person and you'll probably do something stupid with it anyway

Sounds like a lot of frustration with scams and fake volume, but BOINK is the real deal. You get rewards while you play, no need to deal with shady market makers.
>>
>>59231480
why go for one just throw 100 into every new solana meme coin listing

This is a fun crypto one which I am only really learning the lessons of today:

>2020
>Decide to frequent /biz/ for the first time
>DCA in BTC for a few months before this, choose a coin to follow whilst frequenting /biz/ - it's AVAX
>Start 2nd year of uni
>Read all this stuff about Emin Gun Sirer, and how AVAX solves the trilemma problem, has sub-second finality
>Find this amazing
>Second term of 2nd year comes round and COVID puts us all in lockdown. University facilities are in lockdown, which means I can't use physical in-house resources that my student loan is paying for
>Defer university course til next year
>Student finance send me my term loan anyway
>I stick all £2500 of it into AVAX
>AVAX starts gaining momentum, I see an easy 2x
>Decide to stay in: "I am so smart, this thing is amazing. AVAX threads confirm itll be four digits! To the moon!"
>Doublemint fiasco occurs - everyone sells their AVAX
>My AVAX drops to like £500 total overnight, I panic like shit, sweating, nervous, cursing, "wtf is wrong with me"
>Get a call an hour after I wake up
>"Hi, this is Student Finance England. You deferred university, so you need to pay us that £2.5k back immediately"

To cut the story short, the guy on the phone was a bullshitter and I didnt need to pay it off. I can't remember what I did in the end exactly but thankfully I broke even with my initial investment. The point is that I didn't know what AVAX was, I didn't know what Web3 was, I don't know who Emin is, I didn't know what sub-second finality was, I don't truly understand the "trilemma". So for the current run, after just DCA'ing into BTC for the last few years, I am determined to actually read whitepapers, study Web3, follow news, and so on.

Tried to catch the falling knife when luna was obliterated. Aped in at $0.001 or so (which was already 99.9% down from where it was that day), but that shit was in a death spiral worse than even I'd imagined. Went down 90% from where I bought.
>>
$20k paper losses holding ROSE the last few years. Much more than that if you include opportunity cost as my other holdings have done alright.

I learned that utility is meaningless. Just throw money at memes or leverage BTC.
>>
sold the stupid mog meme coin around 50m because someone fudded me out of it. if i had held id have like 70k. same with neiro. saw it around 30m. i just hold shit now. back then i used to fucking trade like everyday in the casino. used to think i knew everything. learned my lesson.
