IM GETTING DOUBLE TAXES TO OBLIVION HERE WHAT THE FUCK I FUCKING HATE CITIZENSHIP TAX FUCKING HELL BIDEN PIECE OF SHIT
>>59233031FUCKING DOUBLE CAPITAL GAINS TAX WHAT THE FUCK HOW IS THIS ALLOWED
>>59233031>American citizen in DenmarkIts fucking over.
>>59233073Fucking 70% capital gains tax
You shouldn't. Take into account the taxes of the country you live in first, then use that to offset taxes of your citizenship country.
>>59233031lol thank you for your gains. my next ebt drop is gonna be fire
Don’t pay’em simple as.
Mutts have to pay capital gains taxes abroad? I thought only income taxLol lmao you better get a specialized tax attorney to handle this shit
Burgers are paypigs
dutch crypto taxes are maximum comfyyou report the value of your holdings on the 1st if january, if its under 60k you pay nothing, if its above that, you take the remainder of your total assets minus 60k, and calculate 6% of that. then 36% of that 6% is how much you owe in taxes.so if your total assets are for example 200k, you only owe about 3k in taxes that year kek. even if you turn it into fiat.
>>59234124At one point I had to report because my portfolio was at €120k on Jan 1st. However, you are allowed to subtract debt from this number. I have €90k student loan debt which I'm never going to pay back, so I can have €150k in assets without having to pay a dime in taxes kek. Super comfy. Was kinda worried our last government was going to go ahead with that retarded unrealized capital gains tax, but I'm pretty smug now because I'm sure the current government is going to push plans like that further and further ahead (or even bin it) while they try to navigate all these social issues. Thanks lefties, cry more about Palestine pls
>>59234124What if you own a house worth 1 million euro?
>>59234159yeah good point. but i do think they will change it one day, we're just lucky that our tax agency is full of lazy ambtenaren. >>59234162depends on if you use it as an investment property or primary residence. if its your primary residence it doesnt affect it at all, if its an investment it does, not sure by how much though.
>>59234200>>59234159The only people getting cucked by taxes here are (upper-)middle-class wagies. Pretty based kek.
>>59234234correct.. try to run a buisiness inn dutvhy fag land, the taxes are insane if you dont push the taxes down.
>>59234162Your first house is taxed as income (box 1): they take 0.35% of the value of your house (so €3500 if the house is worth 1 million euro), which will be added to your total income of that year. The taxes you pay over that €3500 are based on the tax bracket you are in. The highest tax bracket is 49.5% for any income you earn above €73k a year. So in the worst case scenario, the €1m house costs you €1732.5 a year in taxes. If the house is not your primary residence, then it is taxed as wealth (box 3) in the way >>59234124 described. >>59234200We're definitely safe for this cycle, maybe even next one as well. Comfy! >>59234234That eye watering 49.5% tax above €73k is absolutely insane. I expect to hit that somewhere in the next 5 years, I hope I will have made it from crypto before then.
>>59234263So for 1million investment property, you would pay 1M-60k=940k940k*6%=5640056400*36%=20304So yearly you need to pay 20304 euros? That sucks but not horrible.
Here in my shithole I have to pay 50% on crypto gains and 0% when I don't make any transaction for one year. I am currently holding shticoins with over one million and value and I have to hold them until spring otherwise I have to pay 500k in taxes.
>>59234356Germany?
>>59234316>So yearly you need to pay 20304 euros?Yes that's correct. They expect you to turn a profit on the investment property ("fictief rendement") of around 6% per year.I much prefer this setup since it taxes wealth that already has been acquired (and at quite a reasonable percentage) instead of taxing the hell out of any profit you make from stocks/crypto. It's almost impossible to get rich from working because of the 49.5% income tax, so no capital gains tax on investments is a wagie's way out.
>>59233382this. if your capital gains taxes are higher where you are it offsets any taxes you potentially owe in america.
>>59233031You don't get double taxed unless you are making a SHITLOAD of money. The standard deductable is over 100k. And thats for income. You don't actually have to pay capital gains taxes abroad. You do have to pay taxes on us capital gains in your tax home country though.
>>59234316Yeah but there are a bunch of tax tricks you can pull. If you have an investment property like that its better to set up a company anyway, and then you'll be paying corporate taxes over it, which will make it less. Only downside is that you'll pay a hefty one time fee for setting the company up, but in the long run it should be more profitable.
>>59234364>>59234376Thanks for the info anons.
>>59233031they're really pushing for abandoning the usa as the meta for the next half a decade aren't they, between the tax man fucking me in the ass and me not being able to cash out my solbank profits its becoming impossible to even live here
>>59233053>>59233073Why the fuck would a /biz/ burger move to Denmark? Are you insane? Are you also aware that we're about to have unrealized cap gains on crypto here in Denmark?
>>59233031Don't pay them, lmao.
>>59233031Imagine buying BTC at 10k market cap. >EXed37EvgnMB3rdM9CiGdc8K82R6jAkmKEkfueJTpump
>>59233073>>59236960kek. unrealized capital gain tax ONCE A YEAR at like 46% i think it was. punishing long-term holders is fucking retarded. this will lead to people leverage trading way more. gambling addicts. it's gg after this bullrun for crypto here in denmark.
>>59234124butyou'reDutchAHAHHAHAHAHAHAHAHA YOU HAVE THE INNER MONOLOGUE OF A FUCKING RETARD AHAHAHHAWOULDN'T WISH THAT SHIT ON MY WORST ENEMY
>>59233082Thanks for playing!
