we are seeing the floor fall out under ethereumI'm concerned it could fall under 1000 when everyone notices and stampedes for the exits
>>59244891I hold zero ETH so I don't give a heckin' care
>>59244898Same. ETHs only purpose is to use it for gas for meme coin trading. Its shittier then most of the memes on its chain.
I already capitulated and sold all my ETH.Better to get out before everyone else.
>>59244891Why would you hold ETH at this point? Even fucking LINK is better.
>>59244927lets not go crazy now
>>59244927Honest question as a 2021 crypto newb. What exactly is the value prop of ETH? Ive been doing just fine all this time holding bitcoin and random altcoins which I admitedly took a heavy loss on. I just held onto the bitcoin and Im up almost 3x on that.
>>59244891What's there to take seriously? How is this a concern? ETH switch to proof of stake and its decline in price are perfectly logical. More than that it is expected. This is unironically a GOOD thing. WORK IS KING. Worrying about ETH price drops especially relative to BTC, is like being concerned someone is sitting on his lazy ass, not working, and not making money. ETHBTC ratio tanking is as it should be.
>>59244982many people have their life savings in eth, convinced by YouTubers and influencers this is smart.
There will come a time when knee will bend and every tongue will confess that BTC is King
>>59244933Checked and letshttps://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qe4awO7x9fk
>>59244982Hold your horses Mr. Rekt. The rest of the market can't run if ETH doesn't pump. Not even PoW coins can run if ETH doesn't pump, that's literally how alt season is enabled. Even DOGE is being dampened heavy, it should already be at 1 dollar, but ETH continues to keep the entire market down. If SOL or DOGE or LTC could take it's place it would be much healthier.
>>59245018As if eth will ever die
>>59245002They've had 2 years to find a good ETHBTC ratio to convert their stack. >>59245018You might be correct, but I am fairly confident you are not. Since Doge is now the second largest POW network by hash rate, it's Doge that needs to perform strong to inspire the market.I would agree with you on your logic, if ETH was still POW. If it was still POW, *AND* underperformed, I would be concerned. Doge will be at $1 before you know it. Regardless, it's a new era in crypto. A lot of people now understand the value of proof of work, I don't think there will be so much money going into POS shitcoins anymore, even if there will be the occasional moonshot. That being said, I am open to being wrong about this, of course.
>>59245064Mongoloids haven't noticed that ETH has switched to PoS. Heavy speculators care 0 about the tech, it's the name of the coin that still has weight "uhh durr Ethereum is still #2 in MCAP thus it must be the second best". We all know mechanically this is no longer true but the masses don't care about the finner details. If ETH died overnight and DOGE still stood tall, we could have such change. But as long as ETH lives and is not flipped, this torture will continue
>>59244891>I'm concerned it could fall under 1000 when everyone notices and stampedes for the exitsAnd that's a good thing. Why should this shitcoin be tolerated? All it does is siphon liquidity away from Bitcoin.
>>59244970> What exactly is the value prop of ETH?you shouldnt trade at all if youre this new, but its programmable money, its like bitcoin but you can give the ETH way more complicated instructions than with bitcoin (for example, only send the ETH if the weather in Frankfurt goes above 20 degrees C)the downside is that the entire blockchain(lots of computers) now has a much bigger amount of data to process from everyone using the blockchain, which has driven the price of using ethereum way too high, and theres no solution in sight except making the ethereum token not needed
>>59244970defi. the US govt and banks going all in on eth l2s for RWA and stablecoin issuance. Anyone fudding eth at these prices is a blind maxi or trying to accumulate more. Don't let anyone make you sell your ETH for less than 10k
>>59244891>we are seeing the floor fall out under ethereum>I'm concerned it could fall under 1000 when everyone notices and stampedes for the exitswhy is this a problem though? you didnt actually buy this shitcoin did you?
>>59245156yeah but it doesnt fucking scale. you can do this with a real coin like avax or sol instead. avax is hardcapped too - unlike this uncapped shitcoin. there is no value in this version of programmable money
>>59244970It doesn't have one. SOL is better for memecoin trading and blockchain tech as a whole is so shitty that it doesn't have any other use cases, a blockchain is just a shitty database. It's been 8 years from the ICO boom and the entire crypto sphere ex-BTC basically revolves around gambling and borrowing money to gamble. If memecoin gambling becomes less popular SOL will have the same problems ETH does.
>>59245081> Mongoloids haven't noticed that ETH has switched to PoSThis is why I am willing to give you some benefit of the doubt and I don't insist I am correct. However, I think that people are wisening up to POW vs POS, this is why Doge is leading the "established altcoin" charge. I estimate at least 25% chance that Doge will overtake ETH this cycle. And that ETH will dump more in % from ATH than Doge. Regardless, one thing that we can agree on is that we want the general Crypto market to do well. Godspeed.
>>59245018Why would ETH token have to pump for anything else to? It's honestly better as a stablecoin, earning yield for infrastructure players.
>>59245203i have 10k in doge, will i make it?
>>59245176if theres no value in this version, theres no value in any current version. you should get out of layer 1s until theres a scalable solution that isnt running on one grifters computer
>>59245252Doge is the 2nd largest POW network after BTC, the spot ETH used to have before switch to POS. You have good odds, yes. https://changelly.com/blog/ethereum-founder-endorses-dogecoin-as-the-second-most-significant-cryptocurrency/ - Even Vitalik is buckbroken about the subject of ETH VS Doge. Godspeed luck to you champ.
>>59245233It's because ETH token pumping begins to put crack in the shining unbreakable armor that is BTC DOMINANCE % . Once ETH, the second largest market cap, begins to pump, it fires a flare to all the other coins that it is their turn to pump.If this ETH surname was of any other coin that wasn't so fundamentally fucked, we'd be seeing alt season. If the market followed DOGE instead for example, most coins would have pumped out of orbit, including DOGE. But we're tied to this ETH cuck trying to kill BTC dominance. And it just can't.>>59245203Hopefully, Mr. Rekt. Godspeed to you too.

>>59244891My DOGE stack that I bought at 8 cents is now worth more than my ETH stack. All I can say is I'm glad I learned from the last run and diversified this time so that I'm not stuck with a dud.
>>59244891Tether will flip ETH as #2 market cap.
AHHCKK MY FERIUMZ!
>>59244927don't look at the LINK/ETH chart lmao
>>59245369Kek, saved.
>>59244927>>59244970A lot of NFT crap runs on ETH, so if NFT's come back then ETH will see a surge in price. SOL definitely emerged as its most viable alternative though
>>59244891niggyman why are you still holding on to ethereum? bitch gets absolutely stomped and outperformed by fucking byte and you still hold on to it? why though? is it really that valuable to you that you're willing to throw the towell and get sidelined while everyone else makes it but you don't? i swear to god ethereumfags are the worst
>>59244891Relax, retard. So what if it's 60% down against BTC after going PoS? It could be worse.
I am ALL IN on fucking ETH betas you have no idea the absolute torture I am going through watching everything skyrocket while ETH limps along and all my coins just crab and dump. Fuck crypto worst waste of time and effort I would have made more just picking up a 2nd job and never discovering crypto to begin with
>>59244891BRO I PAID $4500 IN GAS FEES IN 2021. ETH CAN GET FUCKED.
>>59245156>its programmable money, its like bitcoin but you can give the ETH way more complicated instructions than with bitcoin (for example, only send the ETH if the weather in Frankfurt goes above 20 degrees C)It's programmable. It's not programmable money.
