WS pump of BTC. The timing coincides with the broader pump we saw in SP500 and all sectors.
This is the pump as they get to their exit positions.
CRE dump is already showing this: the bitcoin mining companies WS invested are a big reason.
The actual cost of acquiring bitcoin is twofold:
1) what people are willing to sell it for in fiat currency.
2) what you have to pay to run a mining operations (electrical, rent, payroll, etc).
As the cost of option 2 nears the cost of option 1, it makes sense to dump the bitcoin you've mined on the open market and then shut down your mining operation.
WS picked option 2, which is what's happening. They're selling on the decline as buyers keep puffing hopium thinking it'll ever hold above 100K.
