They are selling their more risky asset(btc/crypto) for temporary cash so that they can get a more stable asset. I know in the crypto world btc is the safest bet but for people that are invested in dozens of different industries, it's probably their riskiest bet. Do I agree with their mentality? Not really, but it makes sense from their perspective.
