Why were boomers much more financially successful than millenials when they were their age?
work ethic
>Too much television got me chasing dreams>Nobody taught me about money>Just get a degree mentality>Fell for the /tr/ meme and wasted my best yearsThat was my case.
>>59609419end of bretton woods system in 1971/73. since then 95% of people have got poorer and poorer while anyone that made gains before that got richer and richer. they pulled the ladder up basically. only way to do the same now is to beat inflation which is 10x harder than it was back then. this is why a hand full of people have billions while the rest of us struggle to even make it to 5 figures.
>>59609419They aren't. Do you people even look at statistics on here?90% of Boomers net worth is their house.
>>59609419See pic related. Boomers could simply access more with less money. You can play pretend like the niggerfaggot >>59609435 but the reality is the debasement of our currency and subsequent explosion of capital markets, outsourcing, downsizing and debt usage meant the gap for the average person widened so large that it's becoming impossible to catch up. You will never have the standard of living as a Boomer for the same effort. The system is a parasitic demon at this point, and you have to work around it to get ahead. Hard work and loyalty are dead, work smarter.
>>59609575Who gives a fuck that you cant buy shitboxes? Interest rates are interest rates. Renting out apartments will always give you the same money.
>>59609575this
>>59609419lmao I just realized this is the chick who got punched in the face
>>59609835It's not just houses, this applies broadly across the economy, housing is just one example. Your dollar buys less and you earn less dollars relative to productivity/GDP than Boomers do. The point is that your work translates to less results than it did for Boomers by a significant margin, which means you have less purchasing power, which means you have less financial freedom and material success.
The only successful millennials are in jobs like Software Engineer because boomers don't know how to use computers and could not gatekeep those roles. Boomers then flooded those jobs with third worlders to destroy them as much as possible. Inflation ruined the rest.
