Why is inflation always so happily accepted by the common folk? I have never understood this. Whenever I see the price of any good go up, I immediately call bullshit and use the power of not opening my wallet.

Obviously with staples like eggs this isn't so easy, but look at shit like the 4chan Passes costing more. There's no explanation, because they don't actually have one. They're just making it more expensive because retards always embrace it.

So I have to wonder, at what point does inflation become this self-fulfilling prophecy? Has it literally always been? The cattle normalfags think there are these mysterious external factors to price gouging when it's just some faggot in a suit realizing they'll keep buying the slop anyways. So much so, that more people will DEFEND the practice. How the fuck did we get to this stage?

Being poor or financially frugal shows women that you can't provide and it filters you out. This isn't a problem for us but normies are desperate.

Being in crypto has turnt me into a stingy motherfucker. 5€ for a beer at the local pub. NOPE. I buy the 0.5€ beer from LIDL and drink it at home. HBO, netflix, whatever subscription? NOPE. Piracy. New fancy clothes? NOPE, black and white basic t-shirts and jeans every single day. Dates with women? LMFAO.

All goes into crypto. Simple as.

Inflation is a thing that exists. Your money simply loses value every year by virtue of existing. Banks create money by loaning "your" money out to people. It's a simple consequence of fractionary reserves not being 100%.
>Why is inflation always so happily accepted by the common folk?
Because most central banks run a 2-3% inflation a year target. People don't actually interface with inflation yet when it comes to anything financial it's a very real erosion of their purchasing power given that wages don't tend to keep up with it. But on the other hand if you wanted to end inflation by restricting fractional reserves to 100% you would have to start paying banking fees for account maintenance since the bank wouldn't have any other way of turning a profit. Most people simply prefer to not have to pay money to have a bank account so they're fine with not knowing that their money is technically being lent to other people and they might even be happy to get a paltry 0.2% interest on it in their "savings" account.
Price gauging has nothing to do with inflation even if it can be a catalysts for it. Hundreds of businesses need to come up with a price given how much more expensive their supplier's prices have become. Some are industry leaders and price setters and other just copy what the big guys do. Not only is it natural for the price to not be efficiently set but there's plenty of perverse incentives to set an higher price if you know that people can't live without your goods.
So no, people aren't happy about inflation, they're just unhappy when their cost of living goes up because inflation + price gauging + economic inefficiencies. Some vidya costing $70 has nothing to do with this however. The scope of most titles has increased substantially and so has the amount of labor that goes into making big titles. If you don't like the price then don't buy it and certainly never pre-order any games. No one forces you to buy the $100€ vidja that's digital only.

You don’t NEED video games retard, pricing is based off supply and demand, they’re charging $70 because that provides them maximum profit. This is essentially just retarded communists on Reddit trying to gang up and socially blackmail goods producers into selling their goods at suboptimal pricing for their own disgusting communist ends like some sort of social media mafia.

Inflation is too abstract. Normies barely notice anything. They are not going to notice themselves get cooked slowly

Same, but I was already a stingy motherfucker before getting into crypto. I grew up in a dirt poor family and even though I've long since made it I still live like a hobo and the only thing I spend money on is drugs.

This, not just crypto, I blame all investment strategizing. The problem is once you understand what it means to have a little patience to save money, it easily becomes just a habit, then it permeates every single aspect of life and it's always a running thought, in some ways it's a blessing, while in other ways chronic saving is as much curse as spending profusely

these games have twice the number of fake frames now, why wouldn't they charge more.
>>

i stopped buying games ages ago, i just play gachas now. Some retarded whales pay for the game for me through gambling and i can enjoy it for free or like 6 bucks a month,

the government prints money.
take all the dollars (physical and virtual), divide by the amount of "good" value.
the more dollars exist, the lower the value.
ok I'll slow it down for you.
Imagine there's only $10 in the world and you try to buy an apple. For $1, that's an expensive apple. Then shekelcorp prints $100 more, and loans to a bank, who gives you $10, if you promise to pay it back with interest so you go buy 10 apples and when you're on your fifth apple the apple seller says "hey, you have a lot of money so apples are now $2"

Man I started splitting a percentage of my check into other accounts little by little to DCA into stocks and crypto.

My wife does a great job ensuring that money is saved for emergencies and such but if there's even less to spend after moving savings around it's better for us in the long run.

I've gotten her down to $1k for groceries and spending per paycheck at this point and the rest is saved or goes to bills.

Sometimes I feel bad but also I'm the breadwinner and I want my money to work harder.
