Is there a Roth IRA brokerage/provider that ONLY offers index/mutual funds? I often find myself selling my S&P holdings to buy a risky individual stock with Schwab. It has paid off so far but I don’t want to do this anymore and want to remove the temptation to essentially gamble on individual stocks
>>
Meta will tank on TikTok don right? Also, what does meta even do anymore? No new products and them glasses will do fuck all. Their AI play I am also not sure what it will be used for.
>>
im going to rope soon

wtf have yall been doing, how can you be down in this market?

>Their AI play I am also not sure what it will be used for.
i'll tell you one thing it'll be used for: advertising bots that interact with potential customers to drum up sales.
there's one (possibly more) active on /biz right now shilling btc
meta does have a ginormous amount of sales leads to feed them, after all
>>
these are my three favorite picks
NIKE
MICRON
INTEL

I'm up, but didn't sell the top. so I'm a down a ton YTD

I’m up 100% from December to January but I know the music will stop soon enough. Better sell before then

Micron seems to be gathering social sentiment. Maybe ASMLis next.
>>
>shorting WMT first thing in the morning
It's easy money
screencap this

why
>>
>>59641807
nike seriously? that's done nothing but dump since 2021 and is continuously getting mogged by every competitor?
>>
>>59642659
looks overbought, have a gut feeling it's gonna go down, tarrifs on the horizon will lead to bearish sentiment. Same as target or costco or whatever. The others that I looked at don't seem as overbought

What is your daily routine for this stuff? I normally skim headlines on FinViz and WSJ first thing. Then I check the following charts and news every day for these stocks, separated by tab groups on Trading View (it's a lot of stocks but only takes a few min to check charts and headlines):
>Economic and Earnings Calendar
>Overall Market (VIX, SPY, QQQ, IWM, DXY, 10YR Bond Yield, Oil, Gold, BTC)
>Mag8 (MAG7 + PLTR)
>Semis/Hardware (TSM, NVDA, MU, ASML, INTC, DELL, AMD, SMCI, TSSI, APLD, MOD)
>Banks/Finance (VISA, MA, BAC, PYPL)
>Defense (RTX, LMT, KTOS, AXON)
>Nuclear (SRUUF, RYCEY, OKLO, LITM)
>Nat Gas (ETR, GEV, KMI, OXY)
>Space (RLKB, LUNR, ASTS, RDW)
>Quantum (QTUM, IONQ, QBTS, RGTI)
>Pharma (LLY, NOVO, ALT, PFE)
>Crypto (MSTR, COIN, MARA, HUT)
>Small Caps (RCAT, PDYN, AISP)

I've been checking Trading Edge somewhat frequently too, I haven't gotten much out of it but tend to agree with the content. If I'm feeling frisky I might screen for PM movement on FinViz, but I usually get burned there. For researching new stocks, I use the FinViz screener and Seeking Alpha / Substack mostly.

I'm wondering if tariffs are a red herring or bait he can use to pump the markets when he wants. at any moment he can say never mind and markets can pop. he's priced in some bad news basically but nothing material has happened.
>>
Fuck China Don didn’t even mention tariffs why not they after all “existed so I can put videos on their social media “ that is enough to cuck on your entire policy. Sorry just seething at losing my bet on puts.

My student asked me to teach him about stocks and I don't know where to begin.

I trade in four ways:
>M1 main portfolio
>Options
>Forex
>Regular crypto portfolio

I also read about the market for 1-2 hours a night.

My returns are really high, but I am an aggressive trader and feel that wouldn't be good advice for a newbie, even though I started trading when I was younger than he is.

In other news, will BTC and BTC-related ETFs skyrocket come Inauguration day?

Should I just tell him to read The Intelligent Investor and Securities Analysis??

I bought 4 shares of MSTR at $393 on Friday morning. What am I in for /SMG/ bros?
>>
>>59646119
A bad time, it was $100 cheaper a few weeks ago and it's gonna be $100 cheaper pretty soon.
>>
>>59641118
You should do VOO instead it's just as safe and boomer-friendly but better returns than the entire fucking market lol. For boomer ETFs I would take VOOG, VUG, VGT over either of those but if you want the most braindead safe diversified pick I'd go VOO over VTSAX.
>>
>>59645190
>should I have him read books with actual info in them
fuck no, tell him about /biz/ and ruin him
>>
Worth buying Intel in the EU today? Or is everything already priced in on Friday
>>
M-My puts are safe, right anons?
>>
>tfw the stock market is closed
>>
>>59645190
Tell him to just get into it now because they're gonna get burned anyway, that's part of the learning process, the earlier they can make their mistakes and learn from them, the better
