The cool thing about wallets like phantom wallet is the app doesn't technically hold your coins, you do. your coins are stored on the blockchain. If you want to see your coins on the blockchain just copy your address and paste it on etherscan or solscan. phantom wallet just lets you view the data on the blockchain in a simpler way and it lets your wallet interact with smart contracts so technically you can buy any coin on the blockchain. If the coins you buy on a DEX dont appear on your phantom wallet you can just copy your address to etherscan or solscan and you can see it there. some wallet apps don't let you view new coins due to protect users from scams.
