Being in the crypto world, we can't always see the forest for the trees. But zooming out, Trump and Melania's coin releases should be a significant milestone for the rollout of crypto and the golden bullrun in general (including gold, silver and other deflationary assets). The elite make deliberate moves, and crypto's presentation to the masses these past three days may have been long planned. We can also consider the decade of Ripple working with banks to create the new banking backbone infrastructure, beating the lawsuit, and finally having a dinner and announcement with Trump.

The coin release may seem silly to us, as it's trivial to make a memecoin, and it may seem like a grift. But it is also the implementation of the tools we have created, being used in the real world. If Trump requires political donations, he can simply sell some tokens to raise the funds. The cost is paid for by the investors, his supporters. But instead of being left with an empty pocket, they have the token, and stand to gain if it rises in popularity. And if not, at least their money went to a cause they believe in.

We've heard this setup before in the crypto world (platforms to invest in athletes or musicians, helping them get a kick start in the world), but it's interesting to see it in use by someone so big and influential in the world: the next President of the US. This move cannot be by accident, as it is shaping the landscape of crypto's global integration. Perhaps memecoins are meant to have a high level place in the world, as they merge entertainment with finances, and sound money at that.

Trump also just set a precedent over the format. More people will likely continue to launch their own coins on major blockchains, without needing to join any niche platform. Or, platforms will pop up that cater services to existing coins such as Official Trump. Also, keeping 80% of it could become standard for self-released memecoins.

Trump may even have a direct plan for these funds that he will reveal in due time. There are likely more steps forward that have already been planned. There's a lot to look forward to, and with today's inauguration, the new political, financial, and memancial landscapes take their ceremonial hold on the world. Welcome to the Golden Bullrun.

yeah using a memecoin as a kickstarter/patreon/political donation platform is a good idea. i had the same idea for myself and im working on launching my own coin soon (im a wannabe author). but let's face it trump is too retarded to do this with his own memecoin.

That is a very charitable assumption of rich grifters. Is Melania coin going to be for fundraising? She's just his wife. Trump had a penny stock, did you know that? It lost all the investors their money but paid him millions.
