Im new to investing, so plz no bully, but explain to me how this is not the most overrated stock ever

>Not a major carmaker, just 5% of the market share
>CEO has alienated 50% of the public to NEVER buy his cars for years now and is getting worse

How can people be so bullish on Tesla for so long? I can see them going under as Elon keeps alienating more and more people. Whos gonna buy those cars?
>>
>>59657772
Because Enron existed.
Other than that you are correct.
>>
it's not a car company
>>
>>59657772
Lmao Tesla was never about selling cars, those guys just paid for the privilege of training Tesla's AI.
>>
>>59657882
what is it then?
>>
>>59660988
everything
>>
>>59657772
Because Tesla, SpaceX and Neuralink are all in one. The secound similar company is NIO. Also I am now I watching Canoo Inc. It is a newly founded company with ties to NASA. So, compare these companies for referance.
>>
>>59657772
Because he owns a large gullible politician now. Just don't be holding past the end of the administration.
>>
>>59660988
a scam
>>
>>59657772
its all speculation on the future value. i unironically sell toyotas.

the biggest potential upside for tsla is that it could be the leader in the development of ev infrastructure, which is the main thing stopping auto makers from going full electric. investors buillish on tsla thank that in ten years every one will be charging there car at a tesla station.

It has turned into a memecoin, fully detached from fundamentals.
Risk now is that Elon being an open nazi has a chance of deflating the meme back into a normal fundamentals following stock.

Chinese EVs on rednote blow this vaporware company out of the water LMFAO.

Elon literally said he was "fucked" if Trump didn't win, that's why he spent hundreds of millions making sure he won. Tesla has been defrauding investors since its inception, but it's reaching critical mass as the lies keep piling up. It's one thing to lie about the roadster, that's like a couple lawsuits and a slap on the wrist. They've now crossed into lying about numerous products, capabilities, and earnings which is all sorts of fraud.

>How can people be so bullish on Tesla for so long?
They're wrong, they think history just repeats (e.g. Tesla just keeps winning) but the only reason for that is because Elon just stacks a lie on top of a lie. For instance, FSD was not being achieved and development had plateaued, so what did Elon do? He announced the cyber truck and updated doadster. Then the cyber truck was a disaster and the roadster just never happened, so what did he do? He announced the optimus robots and robotaxi. He's creating a bubble with his own company, building lie on top of lie.

Two things can happen here:

1. He remains on Trump's good side for the remainder of his presidency and is sued to oblivion afterwards while Tesla stocks plummet and shareholders oust him.

2. He falls out of Trump's favor and is sued to oblivion as Tesla stocks plummet and shareholders oust him.

The 300IQ move would be to court public through the DOGE while delivering on as many Tesla promises as possible. However, Elon's autistic retarded ass is more interested in fighting people on Twitter and rage baiting than doing actual work. This is why 13 of Tesla's veteran C-level staff quit prior to the robotaxi event.

His autism doesn't allow him to understand that Trump and his cabinet are not his friends. He's about to get absolutely destroyed if he doesn't fix his shit. Bezos is gonna come out on top and Zuck will revert to factory settings to get along with Huang and Bezos.

This is all my opinion and is not financial advice.

Their P/E ratio and market cap compared to other auto companies suggest to me, an average retail trader, the stock is massively overpriced.

Public information also points to EV's being a bad long term bet, as depreciation, sales, manufacturer tolerance/compliance and government mandates are all turning against favoring EV's. Anyone with knowledge of cars knew this was going to happen anyway. Tesla has other business segments (e.g., solar) but they are a fraction of their revenue compared to their cars.

The question is not if Tesla will slump, it's when IMO. His commingling with Trump has likely postponed his downfall and the hype bubble has kept Tesla going, but eventually reality has to set in. I can't imagine doing a Nazi salute on national television is going to help long-term sentiment.

i want to buy a small/mid size truck. should i get a tacoma? any particularly bad years for tacomas? i was also considering the honda ridgeline.
>>
>>59664131
he needs to reposition it as a robotics company, buttressed with AI, with an EV division.
>>
>>59664197
AI is a hype bubble too and his robotics deliverables are largely vaporware.

I don’t think every auto maker will be forced to use Teslas charging network but there may be a high chance Tesla will be licensing their software to every other manufacturer. I just bought a ‘24 Tacoma, wife has had a Tesla model x for a few years. The user experience is night and day. The new Tacoma is giving me a Windows ‘95 experience and the model X and Teslas in general are exactly what a modern driving experience should be. Not to mention the self driving capabilities with a Tesla are insane. The Tacoma? Toyota hasn’t even started with an attempt at self driving, besides the half ass lidar stay-in-lane shit, while Tesla has billions and billions if not trillions of AI vision trained miles so far. It seems like every legacy auto maker is going to bow to Tesla in that department at the very least.
>>
>>59657772
Does Tesla really only have 5% market share? I live in Seattle so obviously this is a terrible way to judge this but it feels like 60% of the cars are Teslas.

Because you are only look at the shiniest most deformed shit on the road or live in a rich area where people burn money on """""luxury""""" bullshit where they are scalped by repairs. Most cars out there are Volkswagons,Toyotas or Hondas.

People who actually have a personal value with their money dont buy that rancid garbage that requires you to drop 10k all willy nilly and have industrial fucking electrical equipment in houses that still takes hours or even days to charge.

If you ever see anyone driving those cuckboxes I highly encourage you to do your research and see what sort of retardation they go through to drive those things and the maintainance history will be by listening to others lifespan history.

FSD and Optimus.
Around 6% of the US working population is employed in the transport section, a huge amount of those are the people that actually drive, move goods and people from A to B.
FSD replacing those people, that is a lot of value and Tesla will probably capture a lot of it.
The robot, I recall Elon saying this would be the single greatest product in human history, and I have to agree with this. Humanoid Robots will become huge! There are no other company that is publicly traded (e.g. investable for retail investors) that aim to develop and produce humanoid robots.
I also like the vertical integration, that they try to control all the links in their supply chain, and have had good success with it.
I also think they have historically had a very good success with attracting talent, i think this is Elon's main skill, attracting and enabling talented people.

Obviously Tesla at this price is outrageous, and given that nothing new is gonna come out any time soon, i think the stock will fall a lot.
Once that happen, i will be buying, it's such a great company, doesn't even have to be "cheap" before i start buying, it just have to be not insane.

More than 50%. He alienated all of the liberals by flipflopping to pro Trump after voting for hillary and biden and calling Trump hitler in 2016 and 2020 and most of the real conservatives with his 'fuck yo face I fight u with every drop of blood for unlimited jeets" comment.

Thinking about trying a straddle strangle swap strategy for the earnings call. Should I?
>>
>>59666325

Even if Tesla fixes all their company issues I just cant picture who is buying those cars.

The only reason I would invest in it is if all other major shareholders kick Elon out for good. He's pure poison

Because politicians and investment bankers know that eventually everyone will be forced to use electric vehicles wheather you like it or not.
Every other post in this thread is wrong.

reddit isn't 50% of the population
it's extremely far left and they only maintain that position by banning all competing opinions
