there's no going back. the main problem with the swe interview process are the type of fucking losers that become code monkeys in the first place. they got nothing better to do than to practice taking it in the ass with ever increasing interview hurdles. the saturation of jeets has made this 10x worse

There is always a need for trade workers. Learn plumbing or learn to be a groundsmen for a tree climber. Good hard work that pays bready good. Unless you are enthralled with tech and like coding, these fagman jobs will steal your soul. Don't work in retail, stores already hate you, but everyone needs a plumber.

But are you really going to? You going to figure it out all day or maybe weeks, because the water damage caused the flange to fail, now you have raw sewage seeping into the subfloor? You gonna crawl under your house( if you have one) and repair a line that a tree root punctured? No, probably not. Most people can't even figure out how to replace a sink faucet and they don't want to deal with it. You don't need a toilet just like you don't need a computer, but when push comes to shove, toilets are more of a necessity.
