his plan working means decimating the USD and laying off white collar workers to be wageslaves in sweatshops
>>
>>60156092
I mean that'd be great, I'd wipe away some sweat and breathe a sigh of relief, but kinda feels like a longshot at this point. And the thing about longshots is they have a low success rate, if it was just a simple "do this one trick and it works EVERY TIME" then we'd do it more often
>>
>>60156092
First, define what "works" even means. The goal itself of impoverishing Americans to the point they have to work in sweatshops making t-shirts for other countries seems like a failure. And if it doesn't work then you start a dark ages of economic collapse.

Bullet missed blowing his brains out by a half inch. 2024 was pretty close too, even after all the fuck up on the democrat's side, if they did any number of things right Trump would have lost. This timeline we're in is actually pretty really alt.

>>
It literally will work. The Fed will drop rates to near zero again like during COVID and the market will recover dramatically.
>>
>>60158425
dropping rates will just reignite inflation, which will force them to print more money because no one will want to buy our Tbills. and then we have hyperinflation.

they also can't raise rates more (even though they need to) because then our banks start failing.

there is no good end to any of this

That's unironically what DOGE is for. No need to print six gorillion dollars and deficit spend if the bureaucrat jews have been expunged. Just enough stimulus is needed to help the real economy to start expanding again, which should kick off a virtuous cycle and take us to the next top of the business cycle.

There are only impulsive decisions and, "vibes".

There's that meme that's been floating around for ages

The people at the top believe themselves to be Strong Men, because of course, what else could they believe? Thus, they believe we are in Weak Times, they will pull us out into Good Times

The truth is of course, that this cycle is bullshit, and you can't reduce human history to 20 words across 4 lines, but hey.
If you believe that this cycle thing is real, consider the horrible, horrible truth

though inflation on materials used to make homes won't help
hopefully most of the increased cost will be eaten by the other country, and some of it will be
if we see a 10% tariff as a baseline, and some of that gets eaten by the other countries, and reduced interest rates, you might actually be slightly ahead for buying a home

>What if his plan actually works?

Trumps plan CAN work, but it's not going to happen overnight. Only way it works is if his policies regarding tariffs are implemented in the next 2-3 presidential administrations at a minimum. It's going to be hard. If we cease to be a democracy/republic and have an authoritarian take-over and one-party rule for the next 20-30 years...then it is possible the plan actually works. Industrialization in the 1800s was a multi-decade long process. De-industrialization in the latter 20th century was also a 30-50 year process. Re-industrialization will not happen in 4 years, it will take decades.

The American public does not possess long-term wisdom. If living conditions are worse in 2026 and 2028, Republicans will lose and Dems will reign supreme and then reverse all of Trump's policies and make us a faggot debt-financed state once again. If that happens we will enter permanent bitch-mode and China will be guaranteed to dominate the future.

It's going to be really hard, but at this point we better hope our tech elites just rig the elections for Republicans for the next few elections. Otherwise we're probably fucked

US led the change of the world economic order in it's favour twice before when it had the might to do so. Now it's trying to do it a third time but the difference now is that it no longer has the economic deminance in world trade it did the previous two times. This whole thing could have worked in it's favour had it bought on board it's traditional allies like it did last time but cutting out the EU and Japan has put the US in a weak isolationist position against the rest of the world, which isn't going to just sit back and allow it's economies to weaken so that America's can prosper. Trade deals will be made to navigate around the tarrifs, emerging economies will try to strengthen their position in global trade while the US sits in the sidelines demanding everyone to bend the knee. Truth is America overplayed it's cards and overestimated it's global economic dominance. We no no longer live in the 50s or 80s. Global trade is much more diversified now and things are not going to work so well in America's favour

You lot don't understand that all of this is for the EU to bend the knee and force China to revalue it's currency and reduce the debt obligations on the US. Japan and most of East Asia have already folded, EU will fold by Tuesday because they cannot let their boomer stocks dip to low as they have huge pensions to pay. As deals will be made China will be left holding the bag with huge exports that they can't divert to EU or Asia as none of these countries want to be dumping grounds for Chinese exports. They all know China has been artificially devaluing it's currency before Covid and finally listen you retards, American markets will close up tomorrow.

Yeah and if the rich have all this capital on the sidelines ready to deploy then the market will stabilize. It sucks that they are able to take advantage of the situation more than the common person but the game is rigged in their favor no matter what. Plans like this don't work in democracies because the short term pain hands the political power back to the other side during the next election, the term limits are simply too short to pull something like this off.

The real problem with the world economy is that there are too many people and we need mass death to fix it. I'm not even kidding: this is the bleakest of black pills. The bubonic plague unironically is what ended the period of medieval stagnation and inaugurated the comparatively wealthy and industrious renaissance and early modern periods. The mass death and loss made more land available and allowed the surviving farmers to grow more and also increased demand for labor and thus wages. More death is needed. Similarly when the boomers finally die off we will see a sudden and dramatic improvement of the housing and real estate situation

>Oh wait you actually thought we’d be making shoes and hand stitching jeans, you retard?
Imbecile. You realize Europe, especially high cost of living Germany, manufactures a shit ton right? And these European manufacturing jobs are good jobs that pay high middle class wages commensurate to the high cost of living over there. THOSE are the jobs we're going to be taking back. As for the East Asian sweatshops that produce cheap shit? Yes, obviously those will all be automated, which creates high salary jobs for the engineers and technicians who work on the robots and jobs for everybody else involved in the entire supply chain from extraction of the raw materials to delivery at the customer's doorstep. Even if not a single job was created, we still win by virtue of wealth flowing into the country from exports instead of wealth flowing out from imports as it is currently with the massive trade deficits we have now.
>>
>>60156092
If it worked countries would look at the US and see why it worked and imitated that. Meaning you'd have a bunch of sovereign states all producing their own shit. I'd imagine this would go both ways and the US' biggest export, digital goods would become home grown.

I can't say if this is an improvement or not for everyone involved but I'd imagine it go down like that.
>>
>>60163939
>You realize Europe, especially high cost of living Germany, manufactures a shit ton right?
This has been crumbling rapidly in the past 2-3 years, ever since cheap Russian gas ceased and we are dependant on the US Jew asking premium for the LNG. A *lot* of production is shifted towards balkan countries and, ironically, into the US. In addition the EU and German government have absolutely despotic terms and regulations towards producing industries making it extremely unattractive to produce here. The traiffs are actually changing little in this trend.
>And these European manufacturing jobs are good jobs that pay high middle class wages commensurate to the high cost of living over there.
If you are a factory worker here you can rent an apartment and maybe go on vacation elsewhere in the EU once per year. That is about it. If you have kids both parents need to work. You are unable to build up wealth or improve the social standing of your children.

If the plan works we are in for the greatest level of cope and seethe in human history. People don't realize the goal of the tariffs and DOGE is to ELIMINATE income taxes for those who make under $150,000.

https://www.kiplinger.com/taxes/trumps-latest-pitch-no-taxes-if-you-earn-less-than-usd150k

If this happens, 1) Republicans fucking win. Period. 2) The size of US government is capped unless Dems decide to reinstate income tax (won't happen). 3) Mass woke suicide, Jonestown-style.

Funny how no one on the left or right discusses this.

His plan is to tell the stupid goyim to just sit there while his big nose buddies write trillions of dollars of puts on every market around the world. His plan is working nicely.

Oh you meant bringing factories back to America. Yeah....see.... no one's actually going to DO that because it still won't be profitable. First of all, there's no assurance that these tariffs will remain in place after Trump is gone, and if they were removed, it would be an immediate 100% loss for any manufacturer who reshored his factory. Secondly, it still won't be cheap to hire Americans, so instead of having American made products, we'll just have no products.

I can already see Trumps plan.
He wants to induce a 1929 tier crash and wreck the economy and make money worthless so he can issue Reichmarks I mean Trump Dollars and cause the US to become a hyper utopia.
The whole world will decay outside of the US now that the US itself trades and stimulates with itself and it's close allied resources, but unlike Nazi Germany, no one will be able to team up against the US to stop them.

This is all because of BRICS etc I bet. The US knows that dollars are dying and the inflationary interest system created in 1912 has to go. It served its function then to make jews rich but this was short gains historically for what will lead to ruin long term.

The crash was always coming but Trump has decided to start it in year 1 of his 4 years, rather than year 4 of his 4 years so he can control and push it.

tl;dr Trump Dollars are coming.

1) That's the Democrats' thing, or at least was.
2) I'm guessing colleges lobby the government to not do that, so now they're going for student loan forgiveness instead. The biggest problem right now is that lobbying is legal and no one in the government wants to change that since they all benefit from it. The closest you got was DOGE cutting bullshit spending from the budget, but that seems to have stopped now in favor of tariffmaxxing.

I don't buy the Russian plant thing just because it's expecting too much competency from everyone involved. He was investigated for exactly that and they couldn't find jackshit to charge him with. If Russia could actually plan something on this scale they wouldn't be on an awful stalemate war with Ukraine right now.

I think just about everyone wants to believe that people in charge have at least some degree of competency and know what they are doing or if not for that that there is a shadowy cabal running puppet state leaders and those people have a long term plan.
I believe nobody knows what the fuck they are doing most of the time and they are clearly just winging it, COVID in particular was the biggest evidence of this. And now we have evidence that a single man's obsession with trade deficits can cause a global economic collapse.

Plot twist: laidoff white collar Americans won't accept working a factory job for so little and the few that actually apply won't get hired for being overqualified. This will result in LEGALLY importing millions upon millions of unskilled labor from south of the border.

>making college affordable so that they can get a real six figure office job

That's not going to solve any problems either, it will just make competition in white collar jobs tougher.

The heart of the problem is that the whole worldwide civilization is based around work, but due to growing efficiency 50-60% (and rising) of people simply cannot EVER contribute any useful work whatsoever to the economy. They just can't, and nothing can ever change this or reverse the trend. So the whole system needs to be rethought in a way that either doesn't revolve around work at all, or the workweek is like ten hours total or some shit so that four people can share the job of one person.

Delusional idiot. America doesn't have all the raw materials to manufacture everything here and even if we did, it would still require sweatshop labor for MANY things to get done at all, much less economically. Robots and engineers aren't going to do everything. Jesus fuck, does MIGA really believe this stuff? What do you actually do for a living???

We are pissing away our purchasing power right now. We are devaluing what the money we all earn can buy us, and you assfeeders think it's based because it owns the troons or something. You thought the cost of living was unbearable under Biden, yet cheer this???

Oh, and housing isn't going to become more affordable. The boomers just lost a third of their retirement funds in the blink of an eye. They won't slash prices on their houses. And even IF manufacturing comes back to the US at lightning speed, there won't be enough low-skilled workers to do it all. The US will import infinity browns to work on our sweatshops and forever undercut the US citizen.

Tell me again why having a high-skilled service economy was so bad.

I lost the last bit of faith I had at "let epsilon < 0".
>>
>>60177710
Yep, and even if they did move them here within 3 years (not possible), they know the Dems will sweep in response to all this and force expensive green energy on them that they can't afford.

I truly don't understand the gold path in all of this.
>manufacturing returns
>we get Beijing pollution, sweatshops, amd infinity migration for low-skilled labor
>it becomes economically unfeasible when Dems push for worker's rights and environmental protection
>America becomes a shithole slum and then manufacturing quickly leaves
>Americans lose all of purchasing power and are impoverished

>He was investigated for exactly that and they couldn't find jackshit to charge him with
That was for "election interference", which I think was interpreted to mean ballot fraud. They paid for his campaign instead (small portion of it, source: my ass). Then in 2024, they instead paid off his legal fees (and probably the campaign too again) in exchange for him agreeing to do dumb shit. Money is a powerful thih2ng.

Trump is listening to Peter Navarro for economic advice and Peter Navarro refers, and cites to a fake economist with the name "Ron Vara" that is just an anagram of "Navarro"; to justify the tariffs.

So yes, they are all just retarded, lying, fickle, scumbags. You attract the company you keep

>You think there's a plan?

There's a plan:
1) Crash Markets
2) Lower Interest Rates
3) Refinance US Debt
4) Deflation to lower prices
5) Build US manufacturing base
6) Spur more growth and limit government size by eliminating income tax for people under $150K

I saw this and left the stock market. I will buy back in when coast is clear. If you people want to ignore a clear plan because Orange Man Bad, then stay poor. Smart people base decisions around what the administration said they would do, and is doing.
>>
>>60179801
>2) Lower Interest Rates
Wont interest rates go up for crashed economies?
>>
>>60177306
incrementalism just lets companies steal whatever funds you're subsidizing them with, not build anything, and wait for the next administration to forget about it
>>
>>60179874
I have no idea. Am not that smart. I just follow the thing they said they would do, and try to get paid.
>>
>>60180058

>Any retard can see he's ushering in the great reset
He obviously has handlers and isn't calling the shots. So many plebs don't understand this. The real question is whether his handlers have decided for Great Reset now or in a few years time.

Feels slightly too early for it now, but what do I know -- we're about to find out regardless.
>>
Not trying to sound super schizo, but I really feel like there's something more to all this than simply the tariffs. I think he's really trying to goad China into doing something
>>
>>60156092
The market doesn't believe it will, so it won't. It's that simple.
Look at the 10/30 year bond yields lmao.

I think the goal is to bring countries like China, North Korea, Iran and even Russia into the fold or face economic ruin without ever firing a shot.

2024 was the last US election

Nah, he just loves tariffs lol. He's been obsessed with throwing tariffs around for ages before he started directing them at China.
>>
>>60179874
>>60180541
Depends.
During a downturn the Federal Reserve normally reduces interest rates.
Also there's normally reduced loan demand (since there's more uncertainty) which can reduce rates.
In uncertain times investors typically look for certain investments, like government bonds. Increased demand for bonds drives up their prices, which pushes down their yields. Lower bond yields reduces interest rates.
If you have lots of inflation though this all goes out of the door....
>>
>>60181104
Definitely could be, maybe I'm just hoping there's something else to it, but I don't know. Just feels like there's something brewing
>>
>>60158520
You'll live in a tent eating plastic macaroni and cheese next to a mercury and sulfur filled creek outside the factory you work at that pays you minimum wage. And you'll still be paying off high interest loans.
>>
>>60156092
It's not whether or not it will work. There is no alternative. The United States either starts supporting itself or we get cut off economically from the rest of the world and fall off.
>>
>>60156092
Amerisharts change from working at walmart and in offices to doing 1 movement in a factory all day
They also can buy less than their wages

You need allies for it to work.
You need to produce more than iphones, visa payment processing and broken nvidia GPUs for that to work.
Lastly those iphones and nvidia GPUs need to be built in America. Nvidia NEED 2nm by 2027. Apple need that today. America cannot provide it.
Your food, isn't up to the quality levels others want.

Trying to mafia boss the entire world for not buying American is fundamentally a flawed plan.
