trumps tariffs have turned profitable businesses who make an honest living into some businesses now owing 100k+ because of tariffs on their suppliers
so yeah if youre poor youre gonna stay poor and probably hold tough

I think it's funny that Chinese are stereotyped as hyperconsumerist, ultracapitalist drones, but also poverty stricken subsistence farmers.
So what about my African Wave plan for China #1? Does the CCP read 4chan? It should solve both the consumption and birthrate problems.
> Import millions of African men into Chinese cities for cheap labor
> this causes a "Han flight" phenomenon in which Chinese leave the cities and move into newly built suburbs mirroring what happened in the USA last century
> suburban life supercharges consumption and the Han birthrate since they would have more space to put the stuff they buy and to raise kids
> There would be a second birthrate boom in the cities since African men breed like rabbits
> the dysgenic effect would be mitigated since the Han flight would serve as an IQ filter leaving only the lower IQ Chinese women behind to breed with the newly arrived African men
> The resulting caste of Han-African colored folk would integrate well due to the influence of domineering Chinese women
> the male/female ratio would worsen, but it wouldn't matter as long as a portion of the population is breeding more than before
Can BBC save China?
>>
>>60182054

Trump's track record, especially recently, says that he only thinks of his next step after making a big claim. His endgame is wherever the negotiations take him. No more, no less. The market uncertainty could have been deliberately engineered, but I have my doubts. Want to know what trump's final goal is, with all the tariffs? This is what everyone is going to be talking about in a month or two.
"Why Trump's tariff chaos actually makes sense (big picture)"
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1ts5wJ6OfzA

The trade deficit is caused in large part because of the global reserve currency status of the dollar, which causes greater demand for the dollar, which makes it a stronger a dollar.
That makes it harder to export.
And it also means a lot of countries have US dollars in reserve, and want to get something out of it, so they buy US debt. Sometimes US stocks.
Which means we can consume more by issuing more debt, but there is no trade rebalancing that would normally happen, so we just get a larger and larger trade deficit and more and more debt. And more countries hold our debt.
This is okay for a while, but eventually it causes really big problems. The natural process of trade deficits rebalancing out and currency rebalancing can't happen with us.

So what is trump's master plan? Keep the global reserve currency status, but have a weaker dollar. How? Well that's the problem. The solutions are speculative. Grand bargains
The kind of shit that would redo the global trade system. A new version of bretton woods
Thus "A User’s Guide to Restructuring the Global Trading System".
https://www.hudsonbaycapital.com/documents/FG/hudsonbay/research/638199_A_Users_Guide_to_Restructuring_the_Global_Trading_System.pdf
This is trump's master plan. And it's what everyone will be talking about in a couple months, once it is revealed. You're starting to hear murmurs about "bretton woods this" and "bretton woods that". That's what this is leading to.

No, I'm going to keep posting this because no one seems to know that this is trump's plan, and what he's trying to do
People don't even know why there's a trade deficit. Here's a hint: It's the global reserve currency status
And nothing trump will do can solve this problem, until the does something to change that system or adjust in response to it
That's what he's doing.
It's not just tariffs. He is redoing bretton woods, or replacing it entirely. He really is changing the entire global trade order. This is not going to end, and it's not just tariffs

They shouldn't.
And the fact that they add tariffs in retaliation tells you everything you need to know
If adding tariffs was purely an own goal, then they'd laugh at us doing it, and then just lower their tariffs in response to win harder against us.
They know that the tariffs won't be paid by the american importer. And they know tariffs work, and that tariffs damage the country that is tariffed. That's why they get so upset and act like it's an "attack" on them.
It's because it is an attack.
>It's not likr americans can buy from somewhere else. Still need asia made shoes and european machines and chinese capacitors.
In some cases yes, but in the majority, no. Especially when it comes to china. They need us much more than we need them. The trade imbalance heavily favors us in any trade war.

That's wonderful. The US dollar is the global reserve currency of the world. We are not like other nations.
This is what trump's plan is about.
It's not about raising interest rates. Or hyperdeflation which that other brown subhuman said. It's not about tariffs. It's going to keep going much further than that.

And I am aware of that as well, and that's not the point I'm making. It has nothing to do with fiat currency, or gold backed currency, or interest rates, or tariffs, or whatever other buzzwords people are already familiar with.
Trump is trying to keep the dollar as global reserve currency, while also making the dollar weaker. How is that even possible? It's going to take a grand bargain. Redo or replace bretton woods and the petro dollar system.
Tariffs won't do it. Trade deficits are just one part of the problem. He's going way way bigger than that.
As keir starmer put it recently, this is the beginning of a new era, of de-globalization. And it's glorious.
Watching the liberals cry, and try to explain how "different people are different, and have different advantages" and cry foul about trump's affirmative action for the economy is just hilarious
He's literally arguing for equal outcomes and affirmative action for america's trade system, and leftists are screeching about how that's not how it works. I think it's hilarious

Not much in practice. They're stores of value, and real estate even doubles as a place for you to live in. Gold can serve as the hedge here since stocks are volatile, and real estate has issues like depreciation, upkeep, and property taxes. Gold is highly storable, needs little upkeep, and the price is resistant to market downturns since it's a risk-off asset. BTC should have followed this trajectory too, but large-scale adoption tied it to the market performance.

I do not understand your question. The western economic system is a game, with made up rules. One of the rules baked in is that the fiat currency supply must constantly increase to pay off the interest on the loans constantly created. get this, there is not enough money to pay off all the loans and interest, that is why the supply must keep increasing.
>>
>>60182728
>inflation due to the ever increasing supply of dollars. more dollars = less value of each dollar. Inflation is baked into the scheme, the scheme will implode with deflation.
but global reserve currency means we export our inflation
Other countries have a high demand for the dollar, which means we can't even make a weaker dollar if we wanted to. It just stays strong
That is what causes the trade deficit. Under normal conditions, which the dumb niggers in this thread think apply to the US, a trade deficit wouldn't last for long because the currency would get imbalanced, and then importing too much wouldn't work and exporting would be more favorable
And people would also stop accepting that countries debt
That doesn't happen with america. Our currency just stays strong, and people keep accepting our debt, because we are the greatest nation on earth. But we have become a victim of that success, and it's hurting our exports
No country is supposed to have such a continued massive and growing trade deficit for this long. It's because the dollar is the reserve currency of the world. That's the problem. IT's a good problem to have, but it's now fucking us over.

I'm sorry, it seems like no one knows even why the trade deficit exists, or WHY trump is even trying to do what he's doing, or what he's even trying to do
People are just looking at line go up or line go down, and placing bets with no idea of what's actually driving this.
If you understand trump's plan, it makes a lot more sense. Tariffs are just a tool.
No, it's not interest rates, or deflation, or gold standard, or whatever other buzzword people have been throwing around.
Trump is going to redo the entire trade system. He's wrecking it to start with, and he'll rebuild it with the countries who want to make a deal
For all the other countries, he'll just fuck them over and keep their trade relationship fucked. Meaning we will separate from china
This is also necessary because of world war 3, and we really really need to separate from them. Especially on critical industries, like medicine and anything that is an input for the defense sector.
This trade war is dress rehearsal for world war 3.

money supply decreases, the value of each dollar increases and buys more. but like I wrote earlier, there is not enough money to pay off all the interest and loans so with deflation people default on the loans and it starts a cascade of failure that implodes the system. If you do not understand this, it will seem confusing. You do not understand money, currency, fiat currency, and how fiat currency is created - its is loaned into existence. There are some vids that explain all this - mike maloney, and other older ones. You can also read Modern Money Mechanics by the Chicago Fed Reserve (you can download the pdf). It is a scam, but I need to buy sex dolls and burritos and they don't take my IOUs any more, so I need to give them fiat currency like everyone else. Yes, you can make money off a scam if you understand it so you do not get scammed.
It took me a long time to really understand it, it seemed so odd, but I have been around a few years and seen this scam over and over and over. The answer is always fuck the little guy, print trillions of dollars and give it to the super rich to keep the system from imploding when they caused the problems in the first place.

>And the Russian shills are trying to convince you this is somehow beneficial to Americans
trump has already announced secondary tariffs on venuezela and russia, to anyone who buys their crude despite the sanctions
And trump has been pushing the europeans to boost defense spending, over and over, relentless. He is strongly pressuing them to do so. That is absolutely not in russia's interest
I agree trump is a retard and is unintentionally doing the bidding of russia for some fucktarded reason, but he's not a putin puppet or whatever. He does a lot of stuff that is very anti-russia and directly harms their short term and long term goals.

Yes, the system simply won't handle a weaker dollar. I don't think it will implode or whatever, but it's basically impossible for this to happen. Either way, it's incompatible with the global reserve currency status.
So we need a new system. A grand bargain. Trump is going to do bretton woods 2.0, or something totally different
he wants to keep the global reserve currency status, but ALSO a weaker dollar. How the fuck is he going to do this? He needs to rewrite the global trade policy

Invest in yourself (education, healthy eating, fitness). Always be learning. Don't fall for scams. Do not buy shit you do not need, save money, learn to invest (repair your can instead of buying a new one, high/higher interest savings). You can make money safely investing in stocks, most likely if you invest in safer ETFs. You need some cash for emergencies, some in the bank (bank can also be your broker). Watch the stock market cycle and learn from other's mistakes/losses. Go slow and easy investing is not gambling. Most YT vids are bullshit designed for clicks. Here is an exercise for you - can you spot the bot/fraud comments in the comments section of this vid?

Considering the US suddenly has on average 30% less purchasing power overnight, it's in no better position than a random EU country or Japan. Purchasing power still remains high though, so the market can't be ignored. But it's suddenly 30% poorer. Less of a priority.

They don't value human life. They see mass death events as an opportunity in disguise. Mostly because they are evil and want to profit off misery, but also because honestly, those motherfuckers are smarter than us. They'll see stuff, think outside the box, and turn a loss into a win (partially)
This is something they have done many times, even before communism. Same with russia

>Considering the US suddenly has on average 30% less purchasing power overnight
You are assuming those tariffs will be paid by american consumers, not the countries or foreign companies absorbing the cost of the tariffs
I don't really see that happening.
And also, the tariffs generate tax revenue for the government. It's not like the money just disappears into the ether. It just means the government gets it and the people have less. Essentially a sales tax, but only on foreign goods.
And I think a universal 10% tariff might be a good thing. But maybe like 5%, and zero for our buddies. And more for our enemies. It really shouldn't be universal and also apply to our allies. That's fucking retarded

sir, the tariff, set by the country, is applied to the company or person purchasing the product. If an American company is buying the coffee from south america somewhere and south america has a 100% tariff set on it by the US government, and lets say its base price is 10 dollars, its now at the moment the company pay 20 dollars. 10 of those dollars are scooped up automatically by the government and can now be used by said government to do whatever they feel like.
At this point the company that paid the 20 dollars now has a decision to either raise the price of the product, eat the entire cost, or split it somehow. At no point did the other country have to deal with the tariff itself. If the US set a 100% tariff they scoop up that fucking money and get it. Now...the company is likely to make the customer eat part of that for sure.

This isn't a choice, its just grabbing money to use it for some purpose, explained as the betterment of a nation sometimes, like roads and shit, or infrastructure. The problem is most modern nations have never had more than 2% actual tariff and now we have 10% permanent + 20-50% bonus tariff which is business shattering.

>>

As far as that goes, yeah I think I agree with you. There's no way 104% tariff stays on china as the final number. Maybe 10% or more. Perhaps 20? 30 maybe?
I think people just don't believe it.

as far that meme goes... I don't understand why people don't understand it can't be both?
You can have certain countries you tariff more. Other countries, you'd rather make a deal so you threaten tariffs as a negotiating tactic and end up with no tariffs on them. So you get both, in different situations.
If you win either way, then you have walk away power. That's what trump is doing. I'm not sure if that's actually true, but that's what he's trying to communicate
Either we get a better deal and use the tariffs as a negotiating tactic, or we get tariffs and either way we win.

Now...the company is likely to make the customer eat part of that for sure.
> At no point did the other country have to deal with the tariff itself.
Sure they did. If that's a foreign company, then they have to raise prices which hurts their competitveness (without increasing profit from higher prices at all), or eat the cost themselves which hurts their profits, or some combination of both.
That is going to hurt the foreign company.
If it's an american company running a factory in china or whatever, of course that hurts china too since perhaps that factory will now close down because it can't be profitable with 100% tariffs. It will also hurt the american company running the factory.
And so that complicates matters if it's not a chinese company in china getting hit with the tariff.
>This isn't a choice, its just grabbing money to use it for some purpose, explained as the betterment of a nation sometimes, like roads and shit, or infrastructure. The problem is most modern nations have never had more than 2% actual tariff and now we have 10% permanent + 20-50% bonus tariff which is business shattering.
yes, it is business shattering. As corrupt, scamming, and dishonest as the chinese have been, there's no way there's so much slack in the system that they can eat 104% tariff and still be profitable. Or, put the other way, raise prices to be double (and not eat the cost at all) and still be an attractive product at double the price but still being cheap chinese crap at the end of the day.
That's their whole business model. Make cheap chinese crap, but it's cheap! What if you double the price? No one buys it.
>>

I just don't think shuttering 30-40% of small and mid size business is a good republican plan, because none of them can afford this.
imagine if you campaign on shutting down all small caps in america because you think you can retire them for megafactories you are going to build in 3 years with magic money, but instead of spending all that tariff whale money on doing that, they just give a tax break to the upper class (thats what they are doing)
>>
>>60183360
>I have a trade deficit with my supermarket
>Wtf this is a reserve status problem! I'll tariff my supermarket!
And this economic illiterate talking point again.
What if you have a trade deficit with the entire outside world? What if you are taking in less money from your job, than the money you spend on paying bills and buying shit?
You will eventually be bankrupt and homeless. You can't just keep buying shit forever. You need to actually sell shit and make things.

Now, the problem is america DOES sell shit, it's just services rather than physical goods. So the "trade deficit" as proposed by trump is actually a lie. The total trade balance when you include physical goods and also services is pretty even.
It's just that this means wall street and silicon valley are where the real money is made here, and our manufacturing base is fucked.
That part is true. And that fucks the middle class who don't want to work in an office, and can work with their hands doing skilled trade or even manual labor type shit.
Overall, trump is full of shit, and there is no trade imbalance. Only if you just look at physical goods.
And overall... the economy is doing fine in that regard. It's just that the profit are unevenly split, and the middle class has been fucked over to the benefit of college degree office worker drones and mega corps.
We really have lost our manufacturing base, and it really has fucked over the middle class.

>I just don't think shuttering 30-40% of small and mid size business is a good republican plan, because none of them can afford this.
Yeah I agree. the small caps are more risky, and take a downturn harder. We know this. the small caps always crash harder in a recession. The large caps are more durable
And fucking over the small caps... is like, the opposite of what he says he wants to do.
>imagine if you campaign on shutting down all small caps in america because you think you can retire them for megafactories
yeah, that's the problem. It's what's going to happen if we stay on the path we're on.
>but instead of spending all that tariff whale money on doing that, they just give a tax break to the upper class (thats what they are doing)
and trump NEEDS to focus on middle class tax cuts.
no tax on social security I think will be very popular. and no tax on tips as well. not sure how many people will benefit from that, but obviously that's working class type shit
But he needs to like, explicitly lower taxes on poor people and middle class people. More than cutting taxes on rich people. He really needs to.

If he says "there's gonna be jobs jobs jobs, folks, and no income tax. You're gonna be rich folks" that is really gonna sell well.
>>
>>60183470
what won’t sell well is the massive economic downturn and poverty this shit will induce

the fact that so many people seethe, but can't quite put into words why they disagree, then claim I'm a russia shill or a trump shill...

At this point the tariffs are going to actually drop and the market will only slightly dip as the new cope turn into "Well he'll never keep the tariffs for longer than a month or two" and somehow that will sustain the market until financial reports start hitting

China sends the US real goods, USA pays for these goods in debt because the dollars China gets are often reinvested in US treasuries. This in actu means that Chinese peasants are sending you real products while they get something that you just printed and made up in return. The deficit represents just another way of how financialized and indebted the USA is, but China represents only 3% of all US debt, so why seethe about the chink deficit if its actually a big reason why you are a wealthy consumer market. Do you want to be like us europoors but without benefits and living in a milieu that amounts to a big parking lot?

All of this allows the average american (in comparison to the average yuropoor):
1. 2x more electricity consumption
2. 2–3x more water consumption
3. more fuel and calories
4. life in a significantly bigger space
