Sorry friend, you seem to have misunderstood. What I actually meant was that we are not the same in the sense that I discovered chainlink on my own while independently researching different tokens. I didn’t have to be spoon fed like a baby and badgered into buying it and then coddled by a support group telling me to hold it every day.

Most of us bought under 50 cents anon.
>>

Lies
The vast majority of holders still hanging around here are post-2020 buyers
If you bought under 50 cents, go back to your 2018 self and imagine if someone from 2025 told you that chainlink was trading at less than 12 bucks. Would you believe that person?
>>
>>60193729
Yes why not? I had just seen eth go from 12 dollars to a few hundred not too long before that
>>
>>60194152
>Yes why not?
eth did that in it's 2nd year of existence
link is going on year 8
you can't tell me with a straight face that if someone in 2018 said "link would be 11 something in 2025" that you would believe them. that would be unfathomable. and to disagree would be revisionist history. you can check warosu for old price predictions.
>>
What's amazing is that Chainlink went for the highest-value, highest-volume use cases first. So if this shit actually does go into production and it actually does fulfill its promises then it's just going to grow and grow until it eats the world.

That's what you need to sell it before other speculators sell. If you want it to keep going and selling whenever you need funds, then it needs more than speculation.. well that's me.
You are wasting your time if you invested into it to sell it fast with a win. Then you could've actually gone to meme coins in first place.
Link needs utility to keep going and form an upwards trajectory. Speculation is then on top

Chainlink did things beyond our wildest pre-mainnet dreams.
Back then we could only dream of getting adopted by the likes of Compound and Maker, being in bed with DTCC, at the white house directly talking to the president in front of the press, let alone being on the brink of Swift adoption. Yet here we are.
Honestly Chainlink couldn't have done things any better, all things considered.
>>
>>60204979
the wildest pre mainnet dream I had was ETH valuations, which has obviously failed to materialise
none of the pre mainnet marines could give two shits about more PoCs after 7 years
>>
>>60204999
Market valuation is the one thing Chainlink itself has no control over.
And witnessed.
>>
>>60205019
market valuation is the one thing that matters
appreciate the checking
>>
>>60205284
Doesn't change what I said.

The reason you bought and held Chainlink is because you felt that it was promising in terms of future adoption. And these promises have been far exceeded.
However the market valuation does not reflect it, which is beyond Chainlink's control.
>>
>>60205329
the reason I bought Chainlink was the promise of an ETH run
that has not materialised, and it is quite literally the only thing that matters
I don't care about tech, or partnerships, or endorsements
I missed BTC and ETH and I believed LINK would be next
I was terribly wrong
>>
>>60205417
Why did you think Chainlink specifically was going on an ETH run?
>>
>>60205465
Sandro Salsano as an angel investor, Steve massaging Blythe Masters feet
I fell for the psyop
>>
>>60205497
Jokes aside, the reason ETH went on its run was because of institutional partnerships.
At a February 2017 event, ETH announced the formation of the Enterprise Ethereum Alliance with a list of semi-big institutional players, and ETH skyrocketed from there.
And on top of that, Ethereum also had major in-crypto adoption.

So if you wanted an ETH-style run, you actively looked for partnerships and endorsements.
Which is why you bought Chainlink.
>>
>>60205524
ok, none of those things you just said change the fact that LINK did not have an ETH like run, I don't even understand what point you're trying to make here
>>
>>60205545
ETH had a big run based on partnerships and endorsements, and you wanted an ETH run.

So when you said "I don't care about tech, or partnerships, or endorsements" you were lying to yourself.
>>
>>60205417
>those pesky banking institutions just can't keep up with my greedy lambo aspirations. this means the Chainlink project has failed and is best abandoned right away.
amirite?
>>
>>60205593
>no no no let ME tell YOU why YOU bought this thing
what kind of mental illness is this
>>
>>60205545
the point is; all developments thus far have exceeded our biggest dreams from 2017. the ONLY thing which has not caught up yet is the price. execution wise, the project has been more or less flawless (especially compared to the broader market).
Knowing this, LINK is much easier to hold now than it was in 2017-2018 when we had no information at all. on a pure fundamentals basis, there is no easier crypto to hold long term (except for bitcoin)
>>
>>60205632
I'm not telling you, you're telling me.
You wanted an ETH run, and the ETH run was based on partnerships and endorsements.
You also bought Chainlink, which was always notable for its partnerships and endorsements.

Stop lying to yourself.
>>
>>60205638

>you wanted an ETH run

>noooo you cannot think like this, let me tell you what to believe and think
>>
>>60205675
not the tech that's for certain
>>
>>60205691
Indeed. What makes a coin go up is mostly partnerships and endorsements.
Because that's what tickles speculators most.
>>
>>60205704
indeed, but that does not change the fact that despite the numerous partnerships and endorsements, it just won't pump
therefore, I don't care
why is this concept so hard for you to accept anon?
>>
If there's no money to invest price doesn't go up. The good news and tech of chaninlink bleeps it only in a good place compared to other cryptos. It's childish to think good news = automatic price increase.
>>
>>60205730
>indeed
So you do care about partnerships and endorsements.

>>
>>60205638
>the project has been more or less flawless
one point against the team which as things look might end of really important is their poor handling of premine token distribution
i forget exactly when but they had a blog post about btc tokenomics and the impact of the halving on development and then went and did the opposite and increased token emissions per year
not enough to truly impact the price at the moment, but enough to deplete their entire premine way too fast, they were probably looking at their adoption metrics behind the scenes and figured the network would be in profit long before then
but look now and we have another financial disaster on our hands that will slow tradfi adoption considerably, so it would have been a lot more convenient if they still had a large section of the premine available to continue node operations for a good while
if they had any sense they would move to limit their emissions as soon as possible in order to max out their runway right now
no reason for a landgrab when the whole world is melting down and literally every one of their present competitors will be forgotten in 3 years

it did a 100x from 2018 to 2020
and what lie am i spreading? to 2018 me, mid six figures earning 4.32% interest sounded fantastic
>>
>>60209678
Is it that hard to believe that after 5 years of languishing futile that more than one poster would be frustrated with link?
>>
>>60209678
also, where did I argue about adoption? I don't give a shit about adoption or utility or anything that any topbuying bagholders who 'only care about the tech' think about. All I care about is the price
>>
>>60189177
So they vet who signs up right? I want to sign up but working as a mech eng. in oilfield manufacturing probably won't make the cut. Then my name is tied to the token and they'll disappear me in 5 years, right?
>>
>>60209899
Im passing on this one personally, Youll know if LINK is involved without attending the stream
>>
>>60209848
If you only care about price, then why are you holding an asset that has had shit price action for nearly five years now?
If you only care about price, then why did you spend alllll those hours itt arguing about fundamentals, adoption, features releases, ....?

Literally nothing about you makes any sense.

>>60209890
>where did I argue about adoption?
Right here: >>60209478

i'm a pre mainnet marine and i give a shit
>>
>>60209949
That's not arguing about adoption.
Jesus Christ, kid, you're still at it? Discontinue the lithium and take a nap
>>
>>60209959
no don't you see you don't care and if you do care you're an astroturf shill because those words mean something because obviously this shithole board that is dominated by left wing political shills really matters in the grand scheme of things
>>
>>60209987
>That's not arguing about adoption.
Of course it is.
You're whining that Chainlink is still in pilots, experiments, and trials instead of adoption.
>>
>>60209795
>wow, muh ETH run!!1
and OMG pulled a 110x in 6 months
and NANO pulled a 180x in the same span
nigga pull your shit together, ETH did a 1000x from 2015-2017, that's what anons mean when talking about "ETH-like run"

are you retarded?
>>
>>60210071
>nigga
use the er you stupid fucking nigger
>>
>>60210071
these topbuyers weren't around to see the discussions in 2018, 2019. If only you could bump year-old threads...everyone, I mean everyone expected link to be 3-4 digits by now. hell, even earlier than 2025. the fact that its struggled to stay in double digits is an abject failure

>WAAAAH 4CHAN ANONS PROOOMIIIIIIIISED!!!

If you only care about price, why the fuck are you still holding an asset whose price has been shit for the past half decade?
Explain yourself.
>>
>>60210071
oh no, i only 100x'd my investment
you sound upset btw
>>
>>60209645
>The only thing that matters is price
and yet at the same time you have disregarded every possible avenue that could be explored to divine forward price action in a somewhat deterministic way
if you want to base your investment thesis on i buy things only because they go up you either need to possess a time machine or you are forced to chase pumps which is one of the fastest ways to destitution
at this point even casinos exceed your mental framework, i would recommend going to your local corner shop and buy all the scratch its you can, since that is the only thing that corresponds to your understanding of the world
>>
>>60208111
valid point, but desu they could easily just reduce the staking yield and emissions and still be able to survive for another 10 years. if the network isnt sustainable by then it was never going to be. I also dont buy that we are at an end of the world scenario, eventually there will be an agreement and we are going to rebound like crazy. If anything, the current drop is incredibly bullish for LINK since it extends the bullrun, and we are probably going to see the juice bits being live in Q1 2026
>>
>>60210150
i also actually agree with this. I remember thinking in 2019-2020 that low 3 figures was going to be inevitable for the 2021-2022 run and then 1k EOY by 2026. But honestly, this is more a testament to the market being retarded (see XRP valuation) rather than the team not executing correctly. What is most exciting now is that we are actually seeing production implementations and not just PoC/Trials.
DTCC and SWIFT in production this year is huge/amazing
>>
>>60210489
Honestly feels like this whole China thing is a way out for Trump. They will make a deal and people forget whole thing in a week
>>
>>60210578
that is my base case aswell. You could argue that the AI bubble needed to be popped, but in all honesty it feels like we are just replaying 2017 except on steroids. The longer we chop around these levels, the higher and longer we are going to fucking blast once it resolves and everyone realizes they have to start printing. i have never been more bullish, so many factors converging.
If anything else, the relative strength of the token should inspire some hope for the rest of the year (maintaining market share in #11-#20)
>>
>>60210489
>>60210661
yes they will be forced to print but no it really is the end of the world, trump was retarded after all
the damage to the western financial system might not be fixable at this point, the basis trade is in the process of blowing up no matter what happens with the tariffs
after that it will be a wasteland in the economy for a good long while, dont underestimate the impact of what is happening right now
>>
>>60210773
so either they cuck on tariffs and we moon, or its the end of capitalism. i dont really think you can hedge that properly so id rather just hold (ofc you should have cash and gold as well)
>>
>>60210773
it was never fixable
this is what we've been saying for decades
the chickens are coming home to roost
>>
>>60211294
dont get me wrong this isnt a call to panic dump your stack right this minute
very much quite the opposite, you certainly want a good part of your folio to be in an asset that has no counterparty risk
what i said was that this clusterfuck will slow the adoption of tradfi of new link driven tech considerably because those tradfi institutions are fighting for survival right now
and yes this cant be hedged properly except to have cash on hand to buy the dip when it happens
>>
>>60211482
it depends on the level of damage, honestly. a full burn of the current system is better for linkies than a partial because a full burn means theres no power to push against a total redevelopment which is ultimately what chainlink and a blockchain based system is
>>
>>60211578
Theres also the absolute girfter nightmare scenario where they destroy the current order and unironically adopt xrp. Thats why i bagged a 5k xrp suicide bag when it was shooting over $1, you never know how big the grift is gonna get

lol
I bet you believed Arbitrum would run on Link too
>>
>>60211975
>custodial babies are going to learn a basic lesson
i wasnt talking about crypto holdings here anon, in these you have no excuse everyone can self hold and remove all counter party risk
no i am talking about all most all global equities and commodity contracts, as retail its impossible not to have a custodial, it just isnt so you are on the hook in some way and thats the entire boomer and gen x retirement right there

but yes if that bridge is crossed rwa tokenization will happen just assume a 2 year sifting through the ruble hiatus between now and there

I feel nothing
I am completely empty inside
I know that this is bullish beyond belief, but I still expect nothing to come out of it and do not have the slightest amount of hope inside me
Anyone else?
>>
>>60212248
I wish i still was just empty, trust me there are worse fates
>>
>>60212248
Completely buckbroken
Many such cases
That's what happens after 7 years of nothingburgers
You thought you'd be retired by now
Instead you are dead inside
Watching link bleed out
While chainlink labs' employees are rubbing it in your face
Grim

You missed where right before our eyes, Sergey sent 8M Link to dump on us and kill a price pump just last month.

They're deliberately suppressing the price to keep it out of the top 10.
>>
>>60212830
its unreal how much disdain he has for this community
without the original chainlink holders this would have been another nxt
>>
>>60213363
The Link community wrote the playbook for crypto communities, have been spreading info to developers on why oracles are important since we had high level developers up 2022 who were pointing out industry problems that were already solved by Chainlink.

I guess the current staking pool is them throwing us a bone but sheesh, I wish we could be treated nicer. They really don't want us in their club and won't let this take off till it's ready to go from 0-1000.

Sergey was already working with Swift before /biz/ ever heard of Chainlink.
Get over yourself, you're on an image board with virtually zero traction.
>>
>>60215218
A whole list of countries offered things like zero for zero tariff rates, Trump is responding positively to that.
>>
>>60215218
doesnt matter the basis trade blow up isnt a function of tariffs
powell has to cuck out and lower rates so the real rates go down at least 100 bp
the spx can moon back to jan levels still doesnt change the losses in treasuries these retards managed to accrue
>>
>>60216115
Anon, crypto twitter stole all our memes. WTF are you talking about?
>>
>>60216115
go back
you're out of your depth here and have no idea what you're talking about
>>
>>60216756
sergey was already inner circle before he launched the token and before anyone has thus ever heard of him, despite that biz was indeed the first public place to learn of it
>>
>>60216756
>>60217033
Most of "our memes" were stolen themselves retard.
Even Linkmarines was stolen from Digimarines.

On the whole this place has been a net detriment to Chainlink. Remember Zeus Capital for instance? That entire report was just a collection of fud from /biz/
>>
>>60211578
Thats why Sergey always said a collapse was necessary for Link to become used. God you’re all retarded ITT the entire world is a theatre play and they’re gonna crash it so we go to $81,000 by 2026.
