We're just amazed at how stupid you are, to the extent you see disasters as victories. You only made China more open for doing business with the rest of us under terms that favor us. Not only that but your reputation as a stable economy, the dollar as a reserve currency and the security of doing business with you are all just gone. You lost everything by every metric that doesn't involve Trump's personality cult. That's what this amounts to. You're in a cult and we can't understand how you keep falling for it while the very ground under you gives way.

Remember - everything in the US will skyrocket in price and manufacturing isn't coming back, and apparently this was never even the goal despite Trumpy's words. So congrats, you won nothing, lost invaluable reputation and influence, softened China for business for the rest of us and you're going to live in poverty while the rest of us carry on as normal or get richer.

Let's just keep in mind the current status:
>90 day pause on "reciprocal" tariffs (the really big numbers)
>10% blanket tariff on the entire world in place
>125% tariff on China and nobody gives a shit anymore since they're just glad they're ONLY paying 10% more than last week
>in 90 days reciprocal tariffs will resume if the countries can't come to one on one deals with the USA
>EU, THE MOTHERFUCKING EUROPEAN UNION, offered 0 for 0 tariffs on EVERYTHING (still nothing on trade barriers but getting them that far is nuts)
>perennial anti-Ts see this as a huge loss for T
>America is now collecting some $300B/yr on imports just from the 10% tariffs
>market fully recovered to how it was last week
>>
>>60222110
Do you not see that the US-EU tariff situation was already approximately equal, that the EU exports more goods to you and imports more services because they're poorer, and this is a puppet show for the same burger retards who ACTUALLY thought they were going to move iphone factories to the US?
>>
>>60222110
>America is now collecting some $300B/yr
That's barely going to put a dent in the deficit, the tax cuts are going to add more and proposed 200 billion increase to the defense budget. Subhumans say the US should be run like a corporation, but then get all puckered about the number one thing corporations do to solve a deficit. Increase revenues.
>>
>>60222110
Forgetting tht the 0 for 0 tariff suggestion from EU is weeks old.
Forgetting that EU applied 1500 tariff groups on the US today.
You (personally) will always lose because you are bad faith.

Apple already announced they're moving more manufacturing and offices back to the USA last month.
The issue with the EU is excessive regulation and non-tariff trade barriers (in addition to their unfair tariffs). They've been incredibly stubborn on trade forever, even more than on defense spending, and getting them to the table at all is a huge accomplishment.
And this pause is only for 90 days and is entirely based on staying in Trump's good graces. I fully expect some country to piss him off and get made an example of in the next two weeks and have their reciprocal tariffs reactivated immediately.
This is objectively a win for Trump and a win for America. It's okay to not like Trump and/or America, but you have to be honest and admit this entire thing is a W.
>>

>Apple already announced they're moving more manufacturing and offices back to the USA last month.
They have done this every few years. They said it to Trump in his first term (Investing billions over the next five years!) then they said it to Biden in his term (Investing billions over the next five years!) now they're saying it to Trump again (Investing billions over the next five years!) and I gotta wonder... it's been more than five years since the first statement, did they ever actually fucking follow through?
>>

Except we rejected their offer at the table, gave them a big chunk of what they wanted for free, and now are threatening to do this whole song and dance again in 90 days. Meanwhile, our competition for the EU's attention, China, has done none of that shit and isn't constantly on the verge of throwing tariffs at them overnight. Who the fuck do you think they're more likely to go with?

>That's barely going to put a dent in the deficit
The deficit is $1800B, $300B is 1/6th which is 16.6%. That's a pretty big dent, plus DOGE is another $150B, and there SHOULD be other savings as well. I didn't hear about the defense budget increase but it's odd since Trump was clear about cutting the budget 8% per year over the next 5 years for a total 40% cut, which made sense. I'll have to see what the actual proposal is but I'm against giving the fucking DOD any more money.

>>60222278
The one from weeks ago was on certain things, mainly industrial stuff, not on everything. Everything was new and recent.
>Forgetting that EU applied 1500 tariff groups on the US today.
We'll see how it goes. 90 days to avoid a, what, 34% reciprocal tariff for a total of 44%? I have no faith in EU negotiators to actually reach an agreement with Trump but it could happen, we'll see.

>but they still didn't do anything about le trade barriers (I have no idera what a trade barrier is and I'm just regurgitating from Trump's chart for retards

Because they're not actually flaws, it's entirely motivated by panic abroad and trying to get Americans to share the panic to pressure Trump not to do it. It won't work, we're too stupid to be manipulated that many steps.

>>60223496
Bro that's the best part, it's optional. You can just choose to buy American, which creates American jobs, which is what we need. I have tons of family that can't find good work, they'd be perfect assembling iPhones unironically. Retards who insist on imports can pay the tariffs.
