After a couple days of reading bone runes, I have come to a conclusion that china is dumping treasuries and Japan plus large private equity firms are slurping them just enough to keep the yield below 5. China is buying euro bonds, and because nobody else does, their yields are crashing.

In exchange for dropping tariffs, jav will be fully uncensored and soap land will open up locations in the United States.

That sucks anon silver is great fun for collectors but if you do gold do it in an ETF so you can get rid of it fast and cheap and make sure it is somewhere well regulated and physical backed.

"Gold Bullion Securities (GBS) is designed to offer security holders a simple and cost-efficient way to access the gold market by providing a return equivalent to the movements in the gold spot price less the applicable management fee. GBS is backed by physical allocated gold held by HSBC Bank plc (the custodian). Only metal that conforms with the London Bullion Market Association's (LBMA) rules for Good Delivery can be accepted by the custodian. Each physical bar is segregated, individually identified and allocated."

Please say sike
This is a hacking nightmare if so.
Leaked or stolen card numbers mean a malicious person could purposefully rack up overdraft fees on top of robbing you. And the bank probably won't reverse the overdraft fees because at scale they'd likely be reporting the sums to shareholders as real profits.

Something that theoretically shouldn't happen. The recent moves to look assertive and independent are just a domestic political move, they saved the liberals from getting decimated in the election.
Plus they're also betting this is all a bluff and not really taking anything seriously. It's like FONOPs in the northwest passage, they think they can just talk it out despite having no navy because none of this is really serious and nothing ever happens. If/when the US actually goes to war all the polite fictions get shredded very quickly.

The EU is prepared to deploy its most powerful trade measures and may impose levies on US digital companies if negotiations with Donald Trump fail to end his tariff war against Europe.

European Commission president Ursula von der Leyen told the Financial Times that the EU would seek a “completely balanced” agreement with Washington during Trump’s 90-day pause in applying additional tariffs.

But the Commission president warned she was ready to dramatically expand the transatlantic trade war to services if those talks failed, potentially including a tax on digital advertising revenues that would hit tech groups such as Meta, Google and Facebook.

“We are developing retaliatory measures,” von der Leyen said, explaining these could include the first use of the bloc’s anti-coercion instrument with the power to hit services exports. “There’s a wide range of countermeasures...in case the negotiations are not satisfactory.”

Lending more expensive = less profit = lower value
Also,

So that means everything is getting dumped, and that's a bad sign for financials, especially hedgefunds overleveraged on treasuries.

>10 year yield still pumping. Why is it bad for stocks? Is it because it looks like a better investment so people take out their money and put it into bonds?
It means people are selling bonds aon. They are selling US bonds (how the US givernment borrows money) because they do not think US bonds are good anymore because the USA does not appear well governed and Donald Trump is being allowed exercise power unilaterally without moderation from congress ,senate, judicary or the executive branch. He appears incompetent because he held up a board that conflated balance of trade and tariffs in front of the world and made a fool of himself Why would nations who have had tariffs paced on themlend money to the USA. Think hard. The US dolalr is in trouble, the US national debt is in trouble and ten trillion of it has to be refinanced this year. Do you think China or the EU will lend the US money while the USA is putting tariffs on them?

I'm just sticking with the simple reality because maga generally can't keep up with how badly they have destroyed the USA.

Germany separately has deactivated the debt brake specifically to pump 900 billion Euros into defence and needed infrastructure. with the 200 billion from the previous years this makes a nifty ~1 trillion euros. we have been chronically under-spending so our economy can eat it (and NEEDS TO for fucks sake, the debt brake is retardation in its current form -- this will be great for our economy).

>Potentially unlimited amounts of money to spend on the military
>requiring entirely private investment to finance still after unhooking it from their debt

I'm sure they'll focus on decoupling their orbital market from the US, being able to build Leopard 2 hulls again, and being able to build artillery, just as long as they do it by building an environmentally friendly time machine. That would be quicker and cheaper than rebuilding their ability from scratch while major finance and relevant material is in the hands of those they wish to decouple from.

Ariane 6 worked you dub fucking nigger. And it worked well. On its second maiden flight, they placed a French military satellite in orbit, all while playing with the second stage do do its 3 re-ignitions, as it's designed to do to place 3 satellites on 3 different orbits in a single launch. Ironically enough, it happened just when Trump raised the white flag and cut off intel sharing to Ukraine, with said satellite's use being redirected towards them.

i mean, i definitely think hydrogen has the potential to offset petrol as a compustion source for things like ships and airplanes but at the end of the day
>takes electricity
hydrogen doesnt actually create energy it just stores it, while biofuel is basically scuffed solar that harnesses and stores in one go. you're going to have to use another energy source to generate hydrogen tit for tat. Perhaps strategically building hydrogen plants in the desert and not needing to rely on wire power loss IS the more likely future than ion batteries, but that just offsets the problem into solar production by one degree

what I meant is that making hydrogen requires just water and electricity. Then to turn it back into electricity, you just need oxygen (from the atmosphere). The electricity to make hydrogen can come from solar panels. This way you have a high energy fuel than doesn't require vast extensions of crops to make, unlike biofuel.
I think to make biofuel you need fermentation plants anyways, so might as well go with the cleaner and more efficient fuel.

>just let our tanks eat enemy combatants

Well you see the fed does not actually set interest rates, the bond markets do. Imagine if US interest rates rise agin. What happens to stock markets when interest vrates rise? Here's the fun bit you ALSO get inflation from tariffs and all those dollars that were locked into international trade that revert because trade volumes fall.

I hope it's also flying all of our early warning radars and rivetjoints along the border too. We didn't cut off shit, and one satellite wouldn't cut it. We launched more than a dozen of yours in the last 2 years.

>it worked flawlessly

After being delayed for years because it didn't work, and then failing first time around. In the meantime, ariane 6 payloads went to spacex, and your launch market is effectively dead. It's now too expensive, too unproven, and incapable of the cadence necessary for your continents own needs for just military payload, much less everything else. Inbetween the first and second launch, spacex sent nearly 100 to orbit with 6 boosters.

yeah. im saying the same thing. I'm just saying 83% of polysilicon is produced in china, and a lot of rare earth metals we can only get there. >>60238117
The problem is distance from the plants. You have to build a lot of small nuclear plants to get that system off the ground which we dont really dont have an economy geared for now. I've been deep into nuclear and made my bags with 20% in it but i dont want crazy exposure, especially because sourcing fuel becomes a serious political issue when the world is warry

we have rare eath elements around europe too but the cost of extraction is way higher than those in china so there has been no interest nor effort put into it. Ukraine has trillions in rare earth minerals, spain has plenty too. Many geosurveys are very outdated too, some by decades, I'm sure that if people surveyed europe again, now looking for the minerals we need today, we would find many sites. But for now, getting them from china is cheaper
