Hey /biz/, it's clear this is the next big play. If or when Trump fires the Fed Chair it has enormous implications for the Dollar AND --- you guessed it --- Bitcoin1. It's possible Powell could be fired...and if not2. It's possible he could resign...and if not3. It's possible he could capitulate...and if notWell that's a lot of if's, but if none of those three scenarios happens then another scenario could occur (barring events outside of this discussion context, like war or black swan). Powell stays the course as it seems is within occam's razor and it's the Nothing Ever Happens scenario and we endure more pain.Personally, it seems more likely one of the first three scenarios could happen simply due to there being three of them versus the one, stay the course, scenario. If this is true then the Dollar would go boom and Bitcoin would go parabolic. I mention the Dollar and Bitcoin as the two assets simply based off of their performance against each other. You could consider any asset you like, I just chose those two.If you couldn't tell by my writing and lack of technical terms, I'm below a midwit, so I'm hoping for some constructive discussion about this topic as it definitely seems to be the next big play being broadcast.Read the article for yourself!>https://news.bloomberglaw.com/business-and-practice/trump-asks-supreme-court-to-let-him-fire-top-agency-officials>https://www.supremecourt.gov/DocketPDF/24/24A966/355164/20250409132337552_Wilcox-Harris%20Appl.pdf
>>60241406Based and redpilled magapede here. We're not worried. Trump will fire Powell but then reassure the world on Trvth Social.
>>60241406New cope dropped. What happened to muh treasuries?
>>60241431Doesn't it seem like to you that Trump loves his image and may be attempting to 'do everything within his power' to revive our economy as a game of perception? If he appears to have 'done everything he can', then it would be easier to place the blame on someone like Powell by simply calling him disloyal or anti-American, etc. Trump could say 'look I removed the tariffs, everyone wants to get along, even other countries, etc...but this Fed Chair is not America First so he must be removed." Even if he isn't just removed, there are other scenarios I outlined above, so the person coping would be (You). I don't give two shits about who is who or where they are, those things are out of my control...but I can control my actions or lack thereof.
>>60241406Powell is completely correct in not lowering rates, which will be a disaster for this economy if we reenter ZIRP. Trump will be known historically as one of the worst presidents in history, on the level of Buchanan, as the man who broke America's back and ultimately led to the rise of China as the preeminent global power along with the collapse of Israel. In many ways, Trump is so uniquely incompetent he is the great anti-Zionist president in the history of the USA.
>>60241487I could see him saying it, but I don't think people are gonna listen if inflation inverts.
>>60241406If cheeto nigger fires Jpow then it's fucking over, panic sell everything and move all your money into swiss francs
>>60241577Yea sure I agree, but I brought it up not because what other people should or shouldn't do. I'm asking what's the hedge here? Trump already said he likes a weak Dollar so it makes sense he would want more QE which we all know would definitely weaken the Dollar, if not, catastrophically. Until then, where do we place our capital to profit from this?
>>60241406>and if nothe will just get the CIA to disappear him
>>60241952You think so? That would be way too obvious and if I might say, a black swan event.
>>60241406Zoltan poszar has been saying this since 2022. Dollar will weaken and commodities will rise in importance. "Bitcoin will probably benefit from all this"
>>60241406Why don''t they just selling bonds? Or just sell them to the Fed on the primary market at near-zero rates? Most of the current deficit is interest, so outside of the legal mechanism of requiring bond issuance seems to be the main issue at the moment.

>>60241555Next tell me how that 50 basis point cut Powell made before the election was critical. LOL.
