Because math is authoritative and there is a study of hedge fund managers being unable to outperform. What they fail to mention is that not all hedge funds intend to outperform, which is an artefact of modern portfolio theory bs. There is no formal study on graham-based absolute value total return funds, which do tend to outperform (buffett, sleep, greenblatt, tiger, ...). Many quants do also outperform but fall off with larger sums.
Framework matters.
>>
>>60879875

I had MSTY, NVDY, ULTY since about mid May. $44,000 in NVDY and about $30,000 in MSTY, $3000 in ULTY. The ROC’s on MSTY, NVDY and ULTY were all invested into ULTY. The position in ULTY is now about 4,200 shares and I closed both the MSTY and NVDY positions last month as the NAV was obviously shitting the bed. Irrespective, I walked away with 27% gains on MSTY and 25% with NVDY. It’s all high risk fuckery and due to this I own other crap like QQQI, SPYI, SCHD, SCHG, BTCI, AMZN, MSFT, BRK.B, VOO.

MSTY was and is a shit show as the fund is a second derivative off BTC. That’s too many orders of separation full downside risk, no exposure to the upside. People holding MSTY who are not anywhere near 100% ROC are about to get BTFO this month. Single fund CC etf’s are turn and burn.

>However, the stock is down 21% year-to-date, with a significant plunge over the past month, following the company’s fourth-quarter earnings call for fiscal 2025. Smith & Wesson Brands, Inc. Hearsay. Group think. Self fulfilling prophecies. Personal anectdotes of failure. Percieved intellectual slight. Egos. The list is long. Average retail investors lose big once and never trade again. Thats why most fail. Not because of lack of skill, but because they dont try long enough to see the scales tip in their favor. So they discourage you. They want validation that their own failure was inevitable. Some fail to try, others fail after trying. Those who win try persistently. People hate that shit.

‘They’ the fund paid out $.095; a 5% drop. However as we all know the entire market has was down. This isn’t a cope to being a ULTY holder but a reality everyone saw.

As you know, ULTY is also selling puts so losses are mitigated better than the underlying. I am cautious about ULTY even though my cost average is extremely low. All these niggers on Youtube who calculate yield and DRIP out to five to ten years need to be hung.

People are wising up to the scam that is EV/Hybrid plus they can’t compete with Tesla market share without going into major investments. Porsche fucked themselves by trying to make a ‘luxury’ EV. My guess are rich fags want to drive their car further than 250 km before being forced to recharge ‘somewhere’. Correct me if I am wrong but are the steckdose for Porsche proprietary? I think Porsche is even coping by offering an ‘upgrade’ by installing the Tesla type outlet into their cars.

People who have owned EV long enough are starting to come up on out of warranty battery issues to learn their green shitmobile needs a 25000€ battery replacement. What a scam. Good luck Klaus. I hope your buddies make it.

Porsche has been scamming people for more than a decade now, with many clients burned with the taycan having less than 60% of the range promised, taycans panameras and cayennes depreciating in free fall because of interiors and leather being dogshit and ridiculous maintenance costs, 4-cylinder pricing being 30% to 40% more expensive than the 6-cylinder they were replacing, and the 991 and 992 being boring and objectively worse than the 997, which was up to that point considered the second worst 911...
My father and uncle are porchefag's since the early 90's and they stopped going to the annual meetings because (paraphrasing) "it's full of drug pushers and idiots that go there only to take selfies and talk about how much money they make."
They'll survive because there are enough guys going into a mild life crisis every year to keep them afloat, but a correction is necessary.

Here in Lisbon, there are A LOT of EVs everywhere, mostly Teslas and BYD but you can see other flavours as well, as for hybrids there are a bunch too, but mostly just Toyota, at least as far as I can recognize, so I wouldn't really agree with the statement that the people aren't buying them, but then again, Lisbon could be the exception, since I even see taxi/Uber drivers with Teslas.

I believe at one point TGT and WMT each had internal IT operations considered to be world-class—Target's strength was loss-prevention technology, while Wal-Mart was at the forefront of inventory management. But this was probably ten to twenty years ago and I assume that is no longer the case for either company, due to the browning of the U.S., contracting out to Jeetland, etc.

Inflation helps:
people with assets
people with debt

Inflation hurts the most:
pensioners
savers in cash or bonds

I don't personally believe in long term inflation. I'm not convinced.
2009-2020 showed that you can print money to buy your own debt and it doesn't cause inflation unless that money somehow trickles down to normal people.
I hope I'm not wrong.

i would say that walmart is definitely still top tier in inventory management. my little brother does delivery app work and he says that picking up walmart deliveries is much easier than target due to how simple it is to find everything and how accurate inventory numbers are. I used to do devops work and as of just a few years ago before i retired, walmart still had a great rep for their internal software platforms.

The real fun will begin next Wednesday with CPI coming in hot then 9/11 has PPI which will come in stupidly hot. Market dumps then bull trap to fed meeting. Market dumps after a 50BPS on the 18th.

i don't quite get this inflation helps debt statement. say you owe me $1, no matter how much inflation you still owe me $1 and because of how this kiked system works your salary or welfare is not going to keep up with inflation and your living costs are now much higher and you still also have that debt
>>
>>60882558
which is better SCHD or SNSXX?
>>
>>60882568
>i don't quite get this inflation helps debt statement
conceptually if the interest on the debt is fixed, then over time salary will increase due to inflation so you get paid more money and your income relative to the debt increases making paying the debt easier. My parents bougth a 2,000 sqft house for $25,000, 30 year mortgage, $124. 17 years later I was working part time making $320/month so I could easily pay their mortgage, even take it over. If the interest rate is adjustable or you mis payments you lose any advantage.
>>
>>60882580
are they ever really fixed? at least in eurocuck lands they track some euribor or something and the rates get adjusted pretty often. no way the jew would give his money for free
>>
>>60881810
>I went for items listed as in-stock
Our website is kinda shit. It'll say it's "available" but what it might mean is that it's available to purchase online and sent to the store. Or our onhands are frequently incorrect. Comes up a lot
>>
>>60882593
>are they ever really fixed?
In US you can get fixed, the is the advantage if you keep it paid for many years. You can also get ARM - adjustable rate mortgages if rates are low and you are only keeping the house for a time and can sell if rates rise to fast. Steady inflation does not hurt pesnioners as much if they have inflation protect (usually government pensions), but sudden spikes in inflation are not accounted for in pensions - it takes years to potentially catch up with cost of living adjustments (COLAs) for pensions. So you always need multiple streams of savings/income like stocks, bonds, gold, pension, 401k, land, business.

risk management, i own too much
at one point i owned more than 350K shares when the stock had a reported average volume of 100k on the TSXV exchange (though obviously more trading like 2x-3x of that happens on ATS + OTC exchanges)

i have a price target of CAD$4, they only have a CAD$30 million contract from MTA right now for 1/8th, so hypothetically they can get the remaining 7/8th for a >$200m contract over 2026-2027 until the FRA mandate deadline (that forces all transits/trains to put dashcams on their trains). $9 wouldnt be unsual too if they hit eps 0.10 , inflated values but PNG.V just hit $4 / 1 billion market cap with just 0.05, just what happens when theres too much cash on the sidelines since 2021-2022 with the great dump on smallcaps, it rubberbands back
>>
>>60882731
yeah ok but what do they do?
>>
Recession confirmed ahahaahhahahahaha
>>
>>60882716
>Is it over or going higher?
dunno lol, thats why im trimming my position, in my position i dont need to coinflip im just gonna be prepared for either scenario -> i wont end up like CLF tranny who ran his robinhood account to $1m+ and then proceeded to lose it all like a dumbass not even taking out his cost basis

my target is $4 and ill prob keep a small amount just in case we hit a real bubble and it goes to $9, but i'll have taken most of my profits long before even $4
imo you should look into other opportunities that havent popped up yet at this point, i only talk about it coz i wanted to gloat after i just kept buying while it was crabbing -> if it wasn't now, then it was going to happen eventually with the FRA mandate deadline getting closer in 2027
ai dashcams is one thing ive talked a lot of why it can cut costs and bring new applications but really the core of it was simply just billions of cash being funneled into US transit, and gatekeeper was <$50 million market cap just earlier this year, it didnt need a big piece of the pie to 2x, all i had to do is wait thats why i was relatively comfortable buying more and more of pennyshit this entire time since 2023, but everyone else in smg didnt like how it was just crabbing most of the time

really the problem at this point is just scalability and how much of the pie it can eat before the October 2027 deadline pic related
im just chilling and dumping shares on big moves like on friday

>russian flag talking about slavery
lol, lmao
>>
>>60882741
>yeah ok but what do they do?
i talked bout that a lot of times, u could prob just search ai dashcams or something in the warosu biz archive

honestly none of that was really relevant, the main reason i bought was because it was under $50 million market cap already hitting around profitable $35 million annual revenues (there were no capital raises done in 2020-2024, the shares outstanding only crept up a little from stock options for executives)
so it had a decent value without considering anything else, but you could foresee it getting a pipeline of contracts over $200m because of FRA mandates, it wasnt getting priced in because it was too obscure and even if institutions were aware of it, they couldnt buy in yet due to liquidity issues or just not meeting their requirements yet for risk

really in the end the context doesnt even matter, all that matters is that you can get it for cheap price relative disproportionate to the big money theyre about to getm, and that it's not priced in yet -> which is only possible either if you have insider information, or if it's a smallcap that big money cant touch yet

I still maintain that 2026 is the top via Benner Cycles, and OPEC+ will sanction US oil for their involvement with Israel.

I have IEZ and IEO to capitalize on largecap domestic producers w/ inventory, and toolchain supplies for rig restarts.
Also bullish silver, copper, uranium for AI datacenter buildout

Population growth has stalled. This is a dangerous situation to be in. We've reached a curious inflexion point for global relations and financial systems. The next 20 years might be very interesting

>i don't quite get this inflation helps debt statement.
let's say you have 100k of debt at 10% and 100k of assets, effectively a net worth of zero and 10k annual liability. the government runs massive deficits, which inject money into the economy and also lower interest rates to 2%. now your assets are worth say 200k because line go up and your loan interest gets refinanced at 2%. you now have a positive net worth of 100k and only a 2k annual liability. you are now able to borrow more money and further inflate the whole system.

have you not been paying attention to the last three years? US and Russia are as close to actual hot war as you can get. Russia lays out its red lines and US pushes Ukraine to cross. Israel/Iran/Yemen, Pakistan/India, Armenia/Azerbaijan - lots of hot spots being activated by the ruling class who want to change the direction of future events. Lots of possibilities for shit to get started.

the big question to me is whether during the next turning we get a traditional bear market where something breaks, asset prices fall, and people flock to treasuries
or if the debt load & inflation themselves are the trigger this time and instead cause either a stagflation lost decade or some kind of doombull loop that force currency intervention/revaluation

I havent paid attention because I dont think it matters. It doesnt matter who wins or loses, its theatre. This is how land is exchanged on an international scale, and imo its equivalent to Trump posturing about taking over Canada or Greenland, in that case its about securing REEs. Besides that, the international community is transitioning towards deglobalization

>>60883367
Covid and inflation were part of the silent wealth transfer. As long as you're diversified (and not just US equities) you'll be okay over time. Most people live pay to pay, or have crippling debt or only contribute to a pension. If you can save even $50 per month and throw it into an appreciating asset for 25 years, you're going to be in the top 5-10%, easily.

I did mention Israel, i think thats more relevant. 7 is an auspicious number there. The current war started on the 49th (7x7) anniversary of the Yom Kippur war of the 70s. We have a weak economy, looming recession, rampant inflation, and a decay in intl relations. Oil being cutoff is almost a certainty given the identical circumstances.

And besides that, energy makes the world go round

just take the piss. part time jobs are a joke if you're already employed. they get complacent abusing teenagers who have no choice. You can waste as much company time as you want and get paid. who cares if they "fire" you? Your livelihood isnt dependent on it. basically free money for the 1-2 months they will put up with you being insufferable.

But then again WTF do you expect from a guy who's made not 1 but 2 shit token pump and dumps?
