what do you mean with "this shit"? you mean GME finding it's true value above $125 per share? as far as i see it this is still a likely scenario because GameStop had a successful turn-around and is discovering new avenues of growth and potential under RC's brilliant leadership. At some point the price will have to reflect all the positive change made over the last five years no matter how much the unprecedented and suspiciously flat hyper-crab tries to say otherwise.

We spiked to $80 for literally no reason overnight back in May 2024. The pressure building up in GME is immense and they are shorting it out of desperation. Let's stack another $9 billion interest free dollars and continue to roll out new revenue streams and see how long they can keep the price at $22-35. The entire market is overleveraged and prone to a market crash. So if that is the environment we are in, GME is the perfect stock to invest in because it has ALREADY been sold off. We stand to gain from a cascade of market buy orders which is what sends the price cascading higher.
>>
>>60890643
RC is still showing up as a creditor on dockets being released. If he is tied up in court battles that is 100% the prerogative of GME shareholders. Not sure why you are so averse to even the utterance of a statement of fact concerning RC that your panties get twisted into a knot.
>>
So what’s the bull argument against the fact that the operations of the company are valued at 4b meanwhile cash is at 6b, totalizing for 10b which is the current market cap. Why should it be valued higher when PowerPacks is still beta and isn’t guaranteed to boost revenue meanwhile profit comes from interest on the cash and not from new products?

>>
>>60890796
That's not normal price action. It is one of MANY instances proving the systemic naked short thesis.
It takes roughly 10 years to double your money earning 7% interest. Well I did an 8x with GME between April - May 2024. Efficient market theory states that should theoretically be impossible. Buy and Sells should be honing in on the correct price to maximimize liquidity. Most stocks seem to get support when a stock starts to climb in value. Not GME though. In fact, it appears that someone desperately needs the shareprice lower. Confirming that we are in fact on the launch pad of a massive squeeze colloquially known as MOASS.

The weekly option chain for GME went out that far back in May and June 2024.
Did you know MMTLP squeezed in December 2022 and trades actually settled for $24,000? That is easily possible here. The price of GME is so comically low that everyone can happily slurp to their hearts content.
If you want to defuse a squeeze you need to find a price that is amenable for a majority of people to sell but also too high in price to convince more people to buy. Strategically, you would think Citadel would want GME at $100 and not $23. Their collateral is insufficient to even attempt such a thing. Must be exhausting having to try to suppress the price of a debt free stock or risk going bankrupt. As for me? I'm a comfyboy
>>
>>60890899
Citadel and other shortoids are run by boomers and everything they have done so far is a result of an unchecked boomer moment.
>>
>>60890899
Remember though that relative to 2020, the price IS basically $100 if you account for the split. So the point of wanting the price high enough to convince people not to buy doesn't really mean much considering that people were already buying gme at more than $100 per share before the split.
>>
>>60890872
And Citadel seems able to just ignore them all. A corporate action is probably going to be needed to shake them.
>>60890864
Towelkings won. I'm just letting everyone know that RC's involvement is the reason why he's been so quite. GME has also stated they were raising cash for M&A, but they probably won't make any moves until RC's other legal affairs are resolved.

You need to have 100 shares to buy or sell one covered contract. Thats the whole point of being 'covered.' So how do they expect to buy or sell covered if they're not covered with 0 holdings in GME?
>>
>>60892865
>>60892924
They're just lying. If they admitted it was naked call exposure the SEC would have to shut them down.
>>

It's not naked (in theory) it's just hedged calls.

So it begs the question, why not just buy GME directly?

Probably just asking for free collateral or some trick they use to scam you. Just like one of the other synthetic GME positions guarantees your investment goes to 0 if GME is volatile but crabs. (Losing more on the downswing than you gain on upswing.)

That's their stated strategy, covered call arbitrage.

>>60893191
"A covered call is an options strategy used to generate income, not an arbitrage opportunity

I could lose the five grand I spent on short dated calls and not feel a single thing about it. I make that much in a single poker hand often. It’s a personal choice based on my belief that this earnings will be volatile.
If this strategy isn’t for you, great. Don’t do it. Investing isn’t a team sport. I don’t need you telling me what to do with my fucking money, and I’m still very optimistic my gamble will pay off. It’s hilarious you bought bbby, lost everything, AND told people here they should buy it instead of gme, and you want to come in here still and tell me what I should or shouldn’t do with my own fucking money.

It’s a thread about investing in a specific company. When I am correct about options plays I get more shares. When I’m in correct i lose money.
Me discussing my options gamble for earnings is more relevant and on topic than 90 percent of the shit brought up here. If I lose my money I admit it. If I make money and shares i celebrate it here amongst other shareholders. Everyone has their own risk tolerance and should do what is best for them. I have a very large share position, about 80 percent DRSed. I continue to add to it weekly. But I’m also willing to take risks when I think the timing is right.

For more than a month, we've been within these simple moving averages.
Everytime we break down, 1-2 days later we're back inside.
Everytime we try to break out, few days and were slammed back in.
Since the lines are dependent on the price and not hand drawn I can't tell when they would meet. But when it does this would, in my opinion, either spur a huge run or a huge crater.

With GameStop having a cash floor, I'm thinking up. That said, price is completely manipulated in the short term. A big dip before the rip is also possible.

Whatever it is, we cannot keep being flat because those MAs would meet soon enough.

The more I think about it, the more likely this is it. Hedgies love it because even though they have to pay out in the form of stock in blue chips, they know that it increases the complexity of holders cashing out and therefore the chances of them scamming that money back. This is literally retarded. Most gme holders only hold one stock. Also how exactly would Ryan and his execs delight shareholders of gme if all they end up doing is making everyone buy them rich?
>>
>>60895320
During the 2008 market crash, VW actually squeezed when everyone else was getting carried away in a body bag.
GME is the VW of 2025. The stock has already been massively sold off and the rest of the market is dangerously overbought. We are in the comfiest stock you could possibly own right now. Chasing yields at this stage is like wanting to fly a kite in a thunderstorm. Is it worth the risk of the warm and cozy home to go out in the rain to put your life on the line just to ease your boredom?
I actually think the correct portfolio in 2025 needs to be a massive stack of precious metals (from monetary/banking/bond market collapse) and GME (stock market protection AND massive upside squeeze potential). And a smaller speculative book of resource and commodity stocks which may benefit from upside price action in the event of a revaluation of commodities against the dollar. These you can typically get for cheap and then also earn some returns selling covered calls in the meantime.
I wisely chickened out of my attempt to earn $300 per month by buying covered call ETFs. Everyone should be appreciating the looming danger headed our way and be squarely planted on the back-foot. GME and precious metals do exactly that.

Until the powers at be allow gme to find the next leg up for good, the "floor" will always continue to be the largest liquidity zone at around $22. So if gme does go up soon and there is another bond offering, I am certain the stock price will be back at these levels again. It all depends on when the big players finish accumulating, or if RC will allow them more opportunities to accumulate in exchange for interest free cash.
