When you buy call options (the right to buy the stock at a certain price) you are betting the stock price will rise by a certain amount by certain time in the future, if not your option expires worthless.There are many videos showing simple and very complex options strategies. Its safer and easier to just invest in good companies. If you want to try options only go very small on inexpensive stocks to see how they work. Look in the "wheel strategy" for a simple approach. You can lose money, just like buy stocks.
