If you purchased it from a reputable primary source, like Costco or one of the bigger dealers, then no. It's almost certainly legit.

If you bought it from a small coin shop, find a place with a Sigma, because they will worth with the metal in the card, and easily detect tungsten.

No. Gold is extremely difficult to fake. Tungsten has the same density but is radically different in every other way. A ping test and a sigma test will reveal a fake. Also gold coins are very difficult to fake due to tungsten being too hard to stamp a design into or cast. About the only way to fake gold effectively is by casting tungsten deep inside very large bars. Not a problem for stackers like you and me. Buy from a reputable dealer and you are essentially certain to get the real thing.
>>

Because reputable dealers don't sell fakes! The only reason to post that is to scare off newbies! Testing precious metals is extremely easy even without sophisticated tools. The only time you would even have any suspicion is if you're buying from ebay or reddit.
>>
>>61056217
Because it has almost the same exact density as gold. Tungsten is 19.25g/cm3, gold is 19.28g/cm3. Tungsten can fool a weight only test.
>>
>>61056217
>What makes you think that is tungsten?
Color and grain texture. Tungsten isn't melted, it's sintered by passing high current through the powder while being pressed. It's extremely brittle and grainy. Someone tried to cut the bar and the tungsten just breaks, it doesn't cut.
>>
>>61056254
>Because reputable dealers don't sell fakes!
If a reputable dealer every did accidentally sell a fake, they would bite the bullet and make good on the deal.

The reputable dealer would never make that mistake again.
>>

Meh. It's really only if you buy from jimmy nobody on ebay. There's plenty of reputable sellers on ebay. I've bought a few pms from ebay. Nothing major. Older international silver coinage for the most part. All have been genuine. If you buy from chungboi1(3) - international shipping, no returns you get what you fuckin' deserve.

Now, a quandary friends. I'm going to make a $2k purchase today. I'm caught between buying ~40oz silver or 1/2 oz gold. Specifucally, a $50FV bag of ben franklin halves, or a $10 pre-33 indian head. Looking for input.
>>
>>61056275
>if you drank stupid juice and ordered from ebay.
Or bought something from the street. This just proves that coins (outside of cards/slabs) which can easily be ping and density tested, are a much safer bet.

The cards are an example of a cool idea that backfired, primarily easier sales of fake product with a counterfeit card, while making it impossible to test without removing it from the card unless you have one of the better Sigma units.

I only have one carded product, and it's a PAMP palladium. It passes XRF, and I doubt there have been many fake palladium PAMPs with real palladium on the outside.
>>
>>61056302
Did you check your lcs? Some dealers have been selling junk silver at spot. It should be worth a phone call, at least.

Collapse is non-linear. That's how it starts. Bureaucracies never voluntarily reduce themselves. They see themselves as different from "the public". Eventually the public has enough and starts to push back, and the government resorts to draconian measures, like the response to the trucker protest.

Things deteriorate, and like an avalanche, you get the French revolution. The tipping point is when the government orders the military to shoot the people, and the military says no.

>I know a store that still has silver.
What you stacktards don't understand is that there is a giant global market involved. If the price goes up, then miners expand their activities to supply it, and boomers break out their cigar boxes full of junk silver and sell the stuff off to be able to afford cat food for their dinners, and eventually a new equilibrium is reached. You don't get giant discontinuous spikes unless there is major market manipulation going on like with the Hunt Brothers (who got totally fucked).

It's nice to see the number go up. With the global economy slowing, expect to see the number stabilize again, and probably even drop.
>>
>61056859
>If the price goes up, then miners expand their activities to supply it,
He doesn't even know that 70% of silver comes as a byproduct of base metal production, and doesn't realize that expanding silver mine output significantly has a lag period of 20 years.

On the plus side, rapidly rising silver prices squeezes out the Indian market.

There is no more community, no more religious faith, morality has degraded, you can't/won't talk to your neighbor or visit nearby farmers. People are struggling, using credit cards to buy fucking groceries or needing to work 2-3 jobs to support their children. You can call it a "lite" societal collapse or whatever but when it really is a SHTF scenario and you are unfortunate enough to live by a city, the George Negroid riots will be a good memory compared to what's coming. So many desperate no-coiners with debt up the eyeballs will be in survival mode during this next credit freezing event. What is the event? If silver is 3% of Teck's annual profit, it's a rounding error. If silver doubles in price that profit goes up to 6% of their revenue. If they try and overproduce to get a bigger silver number, they risk causing the price of copper to drop which will more than offset the profit they made from the silver.

There is a lag. The only bars that really matter are the 1000oz LBMA bars, and it takes some time for retail demand to translate into increased production of retail product, which leads to increased demand for those juicy 1000 oz bars.

So net retail purchases are insignifcant, at first, but 2 monster boxes equals 1 LBMA bar, but after a lag of weeks to months. Net purchases have just increase, so don't expect the increased retail to move the needle on spot prices for another week or two.

>GSR 1:1
It is possible, but unlikely. A falling GSR represents an increasing monetary demand for silver. High GSR shows low/no monetary demand and only industrial/investor/collector demand. Low GSR is indicative of a faltering monetary system, at a historical average of 15-20:1 you’d expect silver to be defacto if not officially remonetized. This means any preexisting monetary system has gone defunct.

The short of it is this, if the GSR has fallen to 30:1, 20:1, 10:1, you need to SPEND the silver as money. Buying real things from real people. You must do this or risk total breakdown of the division of labour that happens with the disintegration of the previous monetary regime. Money is the source of order, If you don’t put your silver in someone else’s hands who has none, everyone is forced into cannibalism. You aren’t going to convert your silver coins to gold ones, you’re going to buy businesses and towns, not because you want to because you have to.

Central banker and current PM of Canada (which has no gold) Mark Carney wrote in his 2021 book 'Values' that:

"The gold lies pointlessly in our vaults, a vestige of a bygone era when it backed the value of money — a link that became a cross, inspiring booms before triggering busts. Financial markets value gold for its perceived safety not for its revealed beauty. The gold price surges with fears of financial distress or geopolitical conflict. In such times of turbulence, faith in a commodity replaces trust in institutions.
Gold’s gyrations are a reminder that the permanence of the Bank of England relies on its values. And that value is built on values."

Essentially, though I don't think he realizes how obvious he made it, his argument is gold's inherit value undermines the influence and power of the state.

Tungsten inserts are made to defeat XRF scanners. XRF is highly accurate but can only scan the shallow surface of the metal you are testing.
You will need a Sigma PMV with a through tester (not Sigma original) to check for inserts of any kind.

>or is "largest military" in the sense that you have a "large" construction company with more hardware than employees
Chinese ship building capacity was confirmed to be 200x greater than ours and its probably only gotten worse since that was reported in 2023. Our military is overstretched over Ukraine, Isr*el, and is now trying to spread over to the Pacific whilst our most advanced weapons are being used up by both of the aforementioned countries in wars of attrition. I'm glad and honestly feel vindicated that "our" empire is dying, but man is it still just humiliating to know that everyone on this planet is watching us implode. We can't even go out in a blaze of glory, we're just going to keep watching as our whole military loses the ability to produce ships, missiles, AD, recruit new men, etc. All for the most pointless jew wars, and I'm glad that the whole damn world is noticing and we have receipts of how tricky and depraved they are.
>>
>>61058989
tbf i dont count on chinese quality, they'd win by attrition through zerg tactics but it'd never come to that anyway, fight between chinks and US would be a pseudo proxy war like the others you mentioned. Whats extra wild is they'd rather let the chinks drain they silver supply they need to power war production than crash the dollar and replace it with money. Tells me they're getting ready to rugpull and run, but thats the catch, where can they go? Maybe new khazaria but it wouldnt just be rats from the US if israelis try to run there too no ones gonna just forget about what they've done and it'll confirm to everyone still on the fence that it doesnt matter where they were born or lived they'll always put tribe first.

Zerg tactics seems to be THE play as shown by the shitshow in Ukraine and what happened between Iran v Israel earlier this summer. Just endless missiles, shells, and drones to exhaust the opponent's AD and demoralize their infantry. Logistics and manufacturing capacity has only gotten more and more relevant in warfare and we're falling behind on all of that because we lack the ability to prioritize our own interests.

Indeed, and if anything it skims off of real productivity. Our country is more of a company nowadays than an actual state. After learning about the literal magic metal that is the 90% titanium 10% gold alloy I am off to swap some silver in for platinum.
Still be silver heavy but holy shit. This stuff is actual space age metal. There is a reason they are killing the gas engine. Platinum is the base metal for a self lubricating, abrasion proof, temperature stable wonder metal.
Guys, silver is going to rocket but dyor on this alloy because holy shit, this is the kind of shit that jumps civilizations into the new tech tree.
Imagine a connection with an electroplating that is high wear and tear never needing maintenance or grease again.
If you have any understanding of mechanical engineering you will understand.
https://newatlas.com/platinum-gold-alloy-worlds-most-durable/55936/

This article is from , 2017. Now go research what's been going on with platinum since this discovery.
I can tell you one big one, cash for clunkers was launched in the US and the ish for getting rid of electric cars started in the name of climate change.

>Engineers at Sandia National Laboratories have developed what they say is the most durable metal alloy ever created. Made up of a combination of platinum and gold, the new material is apparently 100 times more wear-resistant than high-strength steel, which makes it the first metal alloy to join the same class as diamond. Even better, it naturally produces its own lubricant that, under normal circumstances, is extremely fiddly and expensive to make.

The Sandia alloy is made up of 90 percent platinum and 10 percent gold, and to illustrate how durable it is, the team uses a pretty colorful analogy. Imagine skidding on tires made of the new alloy – according to its inventors, only a single layer of atoms would be worn off after skidding for a mile, and you could drift around the Earth's equator 500 times before the tread would give out.

Interestingly, this particular platinum-gold alloy isn't new, but it had long been overlooked in terms of durability. That's because when engineers are developing or studying tough alloys, they usually look to the harder ones. This alloy isn't particularly hard, but was found to react to heat better, letting it resist damage from friction for longer.

"
>>
>>61059344
>Many traditional alloys were developed to increase the strength of a material by reducing grain size," says John Curry, first author of the study. "Even still, in the presence of extreme stresses and temperatures many alloys will coarsen or soften, especially under fatigue. We saw that with our platinum-gold alloy the mechanical and thermal stability is excellent, and we did not see much change to the microstructure over immensely long periods of cyclic stress during sliding."

The researchers approached the problem using computer simulations to monitor what individual atoms were doing, and how that affected the overall properties of the material. From there, materials that have particularly desirable traits can be selected for further study, combined and eventually tested in the real world.

"We're getting down to fundamental atomic mechanisms and microstructure and tying all these things together to understand why you get good performance or why you get bad performance, and then engineering an alloy that gives you good performance," says Michael Chandross, co-author of the study.

But there's an even weirder wrinkle to the story. During testing, the researchers realized that a black film had started forming on top of the alloy. This stuff turned out to be diamond-like carbon, an effective lubricant that normally takes a pretty involved and expensive process to create.

"We believe the stability and inherent resistance to wear allows carbon-containing molecules from the environment to stick and degrade during sliding to ultimately form diamond-like carbon," says Curry. "Industry has other methods of doing this, but they typically involve vacuum chambers with high temperature plasmas of carbon species. It can get very expensive."

Not only could this spontaneous production of lubricant help the alloy last even longer, but it could be harnessed as a new, easier way to mass produce diamond-like carbon for other industrial uses.

There is also silver-aluminum alloy.

>Silver aluminum alloy is a pre-alloyed mixture of alloying elements, also known as modifiers, hardeners, or grain refiners based on their applications. It is used instead of a pure metal because it is very economical and saves energy and production time.
>Some of the applications of silver aluminum alloy are:
>Aerospace. Structural components with high thermal conductivity and corrosion resistance.
Electronics. Conductive materials for electronic devices and components.
>Automotive. Heat-resistant parts such as radiators and cooling systems.
>Defense. Lightweight and durable materials for advanced defense systems.
>>
>>61059354
For those who still don't get it. Imagine a medical joint for the Uber rich that never wears out, or bearings for high tech equipment that never needs oil or grease. The space applications alone are enough to cause hoarding among tech, engineering, military.
If there is a fart you don't want to break down do to friction an electroplating of this metal fixes it.

SLV is apparently lying as well. They are claiming to have received unfeasibly large deliveries. Likely they are creating "naked" shares for which they don't have the silver, and leasing that phantom silver which is used to to short the Comex. This is not the first time SLV has engaged in apparently fraudulent activity. The rules REQUIRE that the silver must be in the SLV contracted vaults BEFORE shares are issued.

During silversqueeze in 2021, SLV claimed to have received extremely large deposits of silver in an impossibly short time. picrel At the same time, LBMA had an "accounting error" and claimed they had 100 million oz more than they actually did.

The wheels are coming off when they start to lie.

>When SLV added 8.8M ozt to the vault stock on 9-22, they also added ~9M shares on 9-22 and 9-23. As the vault stock shed ~3.5M ozt on 9-25 and 9-26, SLV also shed ~4M shares. It looks like shares and vault stock tracked each other closely.

>When SLV added ~10M ozt to the vault stock on 9-29 and 9-30, they also added ~12M shares. As the vault stock shed ~8.5M ozt 10-1 through 10-3, SLV also shed ~18M shares. It looks like the late week share dissolution way overshot the vault stock drain.

>Yesterday, SLV shed 3.3M ozt, but added 5M shares! This is an anomaly and I have to wonder if it is just a correction - bringing the share/stock ration back to balance from late last week's apparent overshoot, or if SLV needs to find silver to back the new shares.

More Exchange For Physical (EFP) games. EFP is essentially arbitrage, buying OTC physical at LBMA and selling it on the Comex futures market, and harvesting the spread, as normally the futures market is a little higher than spot at LBMA. When you have backwardation, (which we have been seeing recently) that trade unwinds. If LBMA runs empty, things break as described here >>61059782

If you are paying fair market price for a product from a reputable, established vendor. You almost certainly won't get scammed. (aside from the premium rape)

They rape you when you buy and sell, but if the price doubles or triples before the sale, you are still way ahead. Just don't try and day trade with physical. Day traders only speculate with paper because the commissions are much lower.

>Can only refinance at absurd rates to pay debts
>Said refinancing at said rates is WAY too high and panic starts
>Layoffs and firings and "voluntary payouts" start rapidly to lower operating costs
>Like 20-30% of workers lose their jobs in a relatively short frame of time, now suddenly nobody has money, loans can't be paid off
>Businesses start going bankrupt and being sold off, same with houses and farmland and stuff
>This is where riots potentially start, during the great depression the national guard had to be called in to stop rioting businessmen and farmers
>Gibs are attempted to be handed out, but the dollar is weak and its death is cemented at this point
>A global struggle to establish stable fiat starts, and whatever country does this the best becomes the new america
>Relative stability is achieved after a while by the government putting money in the right places and having no debt because of a massive default and the disappearance of the USD - basically nobody has jobs, but everyone has to eat, some basic form of UBI - even without control of the currency this will be done with bare-minimum just tax money in the USA
Something like this. I don't even think it will be some crazy wacky thing, just a couple years of the national guard quelling riots while people lose their jobs, then UBI established to sedate people and make sure they're fed. During the great depression food became heavily regulated and had price controls put on it, for instance. When you don't control a strong currency you can't just print money to save the economy through gibs, and we also probably aren't gonna enter into a global war to do so.

Even by the most optimistic guesses they only have like ~2 oz of gold per person, and ZERO silver.
They just have a huge population and don't believe in stocks or anything, so those 2 ounces are their entire life's savings, wedding gifts, family heirlooms, ect. Those 2 ounces are what they end up at after working their whole lives.

Yeah, I actually largely believe the number, but I also believe it's never ever going up in any meaningful amount now that it's 3x as expensive for them to buy any more of it. They might have an advantage in personal ownership right now, but if they ever wanted to establish a gold-backed currency or something they never could, because it's all private holdings and their government holds almost none.

Like... I have more stacked than an indian and I don't even stack that shit. It all just circles back to how pathetically poor and retarded their country is, when this stuff really kicks off some boomers will go out and buy 20 ounces of the stuff with a fraction of their savings, and Indians, despite hoarding it all their lives and their parent's and grandparent's lives, will have less than some random boomer who caught the 10k gold wave last-minute, or some stacker on here who just bought it as a side to complement their silver.

>>61060079
>Sounds like he’s flagging capital controls on silver.
Capital controls are coming for EVERYTHING. They've pretty much locked down the crypto on/off ramps. Notice that there's no interest to inflation adjust the $10k cash/gold cross border declaration limits. The $10k USD limit was brought in by Nixon in the 70s if memory serves. At any rate, the $10k limit was brought in decades ago, and not inflation adjusted. That was deliberate.

The EU wants to (has already?) made cash transactions over €3,000 illegal for any business to accept.

The James Bond movie Goldfinger has as a subplot, gold smuggling to beat UK capital controls. Auric Goldfinger was actually modelled on Charles Engelhard (Engelhard bars) who was a gold smuggler.

Engelhard liked the comparison so much he took to calling the stewardess on his private jet, Pussy Galore.

>Where gold is now
Yes and no, inflation will make this naturally happen through a couple things
>Supply shortages and difficulty of mining bring up silver's price - can't mine enough, but it's needed for all new technology
They'll use it up until inflation-adjusted 500 dollars an ounce, at my guess. After that point they'll start settling for more shitty things - they might start just putting copper in everything if it goes above 500, balancing the supply somewhat
>Inflation
So that 500 dollars in a few years naturally will be a few thousand, and won't seem like a huge amount.
Furthermore, silver's current price of 50 dollars isn't that crazy. Bidenflation + these last couple years made everything almost twice as expensive, so it's good to think of silver's current price as only 30 dollars an ounce. A dollar doesn't go as far as it used to. Silver stackers aren't used to doing said calculations because for a while the price was fixed to not change according to inflation - evidently it's now matching or exceeding it.

Burger flippers make 15 an hour now - and even this isn't enough pay to staff said jobs. Silver easily reaches 4k WITHOUT anything wacky about fiat going on due to supply crunches and inelasticity.
>The GSR going down to 1:1 or 5:1 or some other crazy number
They'll simply stop using silver if it goes too low. I could see maybe somewhere close to 5:1 much further in the future, a couple decades, when the supply is really dried out, but as of right now I don't think so. They still get too much of it as a byproduct, so even if the price increases and it's harder to mine there'll always be some new supply, and if the price rises too much industrial demand might crater, making the supply more substantial.

You're not wrong in anything you said, but you also need to note the difference between mean, and median. the mean gold ownership might be 2 oz. The MEDIAN ownership mght be <5 grams because of the huge disparity in wealth between the top 1% and the bottom 90% with a relatively small middle class.

gold and silver win in the end
>>
>The median monthly earnings for a full-time worker in the U.S. was
approximately $5,174 in the first quarter of 2025
So... 1 ounce of gold will soon cost an entire month of work, and if you count taxes it does.
This is already a mega-happening, most people are completely priced out of gold worldwide.

Coin shops have allegedly been selling out of fractionals because hardly anyone can buy ounces anymore.

I can guess what happened. A Jeet working at RBC switched the fake bar for the real product, at some time prior to the sale.

The RBC niggers weren't going to reimburse until the victim went to the news media.
>When neither the mint nor RBC would take the bar back, jeweller Samuel Tang contacted CBC news.
>RBC has now picked up the bar and and returned it to the mint for testing, refunding Tang the $1,680 purchase price.
>The Royal Canadian Mint said in a statement to CBC it is in process of testing the bar, "although the appearance of the wafer and its packaging already suggests that it is not a genuine Royal Canadian Mint product."

There is no way this came from the RCM, again, unless one of the RCM niggers/jeets exchanged a real product for the counterfeit, but this is very unlikely because the RCM doesn't sell banks ONE wafer, they sell monsterboxes which have security seals.

There is also the slim possibility that the Bank purchased that bar from a customer and was defrauded.
>>
>>61060499
And really I should add, with a day's work I had enough discretionary money to stack 2.5 ounces a month ago. Now it's down to a little over 2, maybe 2.1. I've lost nearly half an ounce of purchasing power in a month...
>>
>>61060506
But wouldn't that be the way a jeet could do it, slip in a fake into a box delivery while smuggling out the real thing in his ass?

I really hope the bank has a sigma tester. Fuck all this is making me want to refuse delivery, they'll buy back at spot prices which is already up almost enough to cover the premium on each bar.
>>
>>61060516
It's actually devastating to see yourself priced out in real time, especially when you know how it works.
When you realize it goes up by a percentage every time that .5 ounce move turns into a 1 ounce move, which turns into a 2 ounce. The increases are just building off one another forever, and they're never gonna go down significantly.
I could buy 3.3 ounces per day a year ago.

9 minutes? 4chan must be rapidly dying. They need quality posters to create value for the site. Banning good content generators for bullshit spurious reasons is why /pol/ is irrelevant today. The action has moved to twitter and telegram.

Keep banning Jannies, soon you'll be a relevant as digg, or something awful.

There is EVERY reason to believe they will beat Ukraine. They have already won. Ukraine right now is like a guy who has a fatal wound but doesn't realize it yet. This has been known for years.

you got like 4k in coins there and your drinking 20 dollar whiskey out of plastic.

get a glass, get a better whiskey. stacking is amazing and im for it. but whiskey is worth spending at least 1oz silver on per bottle.
>>
>>61060605
No it's not. True stackers buy 3 dollar bottles of wine their cousin made so they can continue stacking while drinking comfortable - but it hurts to remind myself that I'm drinking a mercury dime of silver.
We're still so early. Spending 1oz will make you cry when in a couple years that same amount of money only gets you 1/10th ounce.

Maybe once silver moons I'll sell some off and trade for alcohol, doing some alkie stacking.

If you can’t tell by holding it you haven’t stacked enough. I bought a sigma to test my stack, so I did and it all checked out. In retrospect it was a waste of money because I already now know how to tell by looking for certain pitfalls.

>They have already won. Ukraine right now is like a guy who has a fatal wound but doesn't realize it yet. This has been known for years.

>Ukraine has been defeated for years

>This is why Russia's 3 day operation has turned into a 4 year long cluster-fuck that cost them their entire economy, sent their inflation above 20% for multiple consecutive years, required the printing of 80% of all rubles in existence in the last 24 months, and destroyed Russia's entire mechanized forces to the point they're forced to use donkeys to pull their artillery into position

>And after all these years, and the expenditure of their entire economy, Russia can finally defeat... A small eastern european border state!

So this.. Is the power.. Of Russia..
