>Will they buy when silver just dipped?
Yeah, and they'll shake your hand and pat you on the back too.
And they'd buy when it went up, but they might hum and haw and take 50 cents less than their normal amount. Usually people buy when the price goes down, and sell when it goes up.
>Volatile
We haven't really seen volatility, we've seen steady growth upwards. Worst-case scenario they're in the hole for a month or two, any honest coin shop has made a ton of money recently and realizes this. Dirty pawn niggers I've seen talking about the risk, though.

This is supreme level autism.
And once someone starts seeing precious metals they have a high likelihood of buying more of them, really anyone starts pretending to be a dragon if they're not completely zogged and hold some gold pieces.
Pictures of this? Were you buying coins or larp rounds or something? I think foreign junk silver along with gold sovereigns would have been the best larp rounds.
>>
>>61060713
>Almost felt like algo trading based on price of silver.
Doesn't even have to, have you seen the insane levels of PSLV & SLV shorts who piled up recently? They are releasing some steam so the shorts can leave dark red territory and call it a day.
Not very effective, they dropped the price by $1 (one dollar) in 2 slam sessions, and it was enough to close 700,000 short positions lol. That shows the lack of confidence they have in the price going down. Silver is displaying absolute dominance chart wise, and shorties are too afraid of the mighty cup&handle's prophecy.
Or they just know it's not worth the risk.

Fun bear information I found
>In the past year internet search traffic has dropped 5%
>Specific site traffic might have dropped 40%
People are using AI to replace google searches, and from this they're replacing news websites and the like.
Basically AI is already taking away jobs and isn't replacing them with anything. People are just putting their questions in a little box or reading the AI answer, so now we also have an internet search engine bubble. Google's AI responses generate 0 ad revenue, but cost them processing power.

They got trillions in investment money that told them to make + implement said thing, and they did it, profitability be damned. They were focusing on the big number and didn't think about profitability, another case of a company SLURPING up investor money while forgetting they actually need to make money somehow.

Most people over 60 are multimillionaires now . All they had to do was put 7% of their pretax paychecks in a 401k for the last 30 years and buy a house for 300k in 1998 which is now worth 2 million. Not that hard to be a multimillionaire

Huh? I know this is extremely bullish and basically guarantees it happens - it will make the market buy even more heavily, but it seems delusional to think that it might end at a 4,100 this year and only go up 800 the next.
Of course, wrong once, wrong again, they'll spout bullshit as long as possible about gold. They can't rightly predict a 5,000 or 5,500 this early, they just have to underestimate and say
>We were wrong, the orange man did this btw
>>61060947
You WILL be priced out, and faster than what they say.
You're gonna have to settle for the "high" premiums of the 1/10th ounce, or get none at all.
And if you try to save up for full ounces you'll still be paying an extra 200 bucks artificial premium from the price increase over said time period. Priced out of 1 ounce gold incoming very quickly, even for wealthy americans.

I guess it would still be hypothetically possible for the average american household to - with 2 incomes - get 1 ounce of gold in a month, it's just unlikely.
Expect fractionals to start being made in massive quantities for gold soon, they can't reasonably expect retail to buy full ounces starting next year, and fractionals already are moving at an insane rate.

I wonder if the wayback machine would help me find the price of a 2002 proof set in 2002.

Anyways, normalnigger news time.
I was listening to WKBN or WKBW or something, and the radio guy was reading an announcement
>Gold futures move above 4,000 for an all-time high
And he stopped when he saw 4,000, like he was shocked by the number. The noticing is beginning, news announcers have to check that it's not a typo.
This shit was 1,500 5 years ago and 1,200 6 years ago. Normies are getting sticker shock.

Gold and silver are stores of wealth. They are money. You're not making fiat off of them unless you're retarded. When you start stacking, you never stop. Holding gold secures your wealth. Holding fiat makes you poor.

Stocks and shitcoins are no different from fiat. They don't hold any real value and can cease to exist in the blink of an eye.

Realistically?
Banks are raising their forecasts, short-term this means a pump - and it also means their forecasts will once again be extremely slow and retarded and a poor form of market manipulation.
2k gold was cheapies. We're at 4k now and it's not slowing down.
>>61061182
It just shows they don't understand investing, a "hedge" is a form of investment / betting the same way anything else is.
That's literally what it's from, you have your main horse you're backing and you hedge your bets to give you something if something unexpected happens - it's still an investment the same way your other bet is, but the entire idea of a "hedge" is that it's a side bet, gold stops being a hedge if it's your primary bet. And yeah, when it's reliably performing better than stocks it does become the better horse, and their stocks are a hedge in case gold stops going up.

This is the sleeping giant in the room. If just a small fraction of the multi trillion dollar bond market starts flowing into gold, it’s moon time. Real moon time. Gold would make moves like bitcoin. 10-20k in short order
>>
>>61061245
>Bonds
>Retirement accounts
>Banks
>Foreign governments
Literally any one of these could cause the price to 10x. People don't realize how close we are, there are now multiple groups that could cause a massive run on metals. It's not just like the retarded silver squeeze retail movement - that actually almost worked - it's now gold being a better investment than housing, stocks, and tech - when this is realized by any group of investors - and there's many to choose from - gold immediately goes to 50k.
People will just stop writing the numbers after gold because nobody can be bothered to write that many zeros and a comma.

The effects will be compounding. Nested positive feedback loops reinforcing each other as bond yields rise on the sell pressure and inflation expectation drives the market not a frenzy. We’re about to witness once in a century, perhaps once ever, transfer of wealth. Keeps your wits about you frens, the carnage is going to be very disorienting.

Which metal should I buy next if I "only" have 1 oz gold, 1 oz platinum and 1 oz silver? I bought these at the beginning of the year. Since I live in the UK there is 20% VAT on silver and platinum but no VAT for gold. I could get a tube of 25 1oz silver coins, or yet another 1 oz platinum coin, or maybe some gold sovereigns (though spending almost 1K on a small coin would feel quite underwhelming).

Right now, there's considerable effort to keep gold and silver high, because the big players want more fomo and more shiny metal holders. One of the reason why silver and gold so easily manipulated by banks, banks often do spoofing to manipulate the market. Remember, the price of your gold, is still regulated by big banks, who can decide to spoof gold and silver.

I know it’s been said to death, but measuring in fiat in nominal terms is a more psychological phenomenon than a real comparison of actual value.

Anyway, Palladium is up 20% in two days. Sometimes I regret not getting platinum and palladium but that’s what everybody says when something goes up. “Should have bought.” or “should have bought more.” I got a good chunk of silver and gold, and paid attention and profited well because of it. Buying gold at $4100 or whatever premium you pay on it these days, is fucking mind boggling. It is so damn expensive, I’m priced out for now guys. Whatever I have gold wise, I have for a long while. My boomer parents listened to me and I bought them PMs and they made a profit too.

It’s a very interesting topic to hear people discuss it this bull run is “sustainable” or not; if there’s going to be a giant pullback. I’m in the camp we are watching fiat get roasted, and it’s causing an awakening for many people to exactly how bad inflation is. Central banks buying gold and dumping US treasuries and BRICS is enough proof for me.
>>
Not gonna lie, the price rise feels great but on the other hand it will be treated as a precious metal from now on, I guess the only chance I have of ever getting more in a couple years will be to time the asset-dump that a broke society does and sell said assets off again, buying back PM's when they dip (PM bull runs typically dump 30% at the end as other people do the same.)

We have neither of these things. We still lack the large event happening that justifies any kind of massive dump, and the "50 dollar wall" doesn't even exist at all, it was over 100 adjusting for inflation.

But this will trick them anyways, so whatever.

I think we'll see some volatility around $50 and maybe even a little consolidation as weak hands sell. But there really is no reason silver as a commodity should not be making all time highs given its fundamentals and other commodities making all time highs as well.
The tariffs, the sabre rattling, the civil unrest all seems primed for something big to happen.

It does give me a little comfort knowing that normies are so slow that I'll probably have until next christmas for 100 dollar silver, so I can accumulate an average of at least 1 ounce per day and get over 300 ounces before I'm priced out.
But who knows, I also somewhat doubt that it'll be under 100 by next year. I should still get to 300 additional ounces by then, but it's gonna be tight and is gonna involve buying above 100/oz.

It's not gonna be anywhere close to this low because we're nowhere near even the inflation-adjusted ATH, I don't think silver is as volatile as in the past.
Everyone says it's this volatile, but we really only see 50 cent price swings, then 100 people saying
>Oh geez dude you know silver's a volatile asset
While stocks dump 10% overnight. Basically I'm saying I don't know if we're even gonna see some giga-dump, maybe like a 5 dollar dump. There are no alternatives to it, and there are too many hands (in this case private banks and governments) in the pot now. Silver is more regulated and sought-after than ever by big players.

>>61062943
It's not a "problem" so much as a systemic problem with how your people earn, spend, and invest money. In most countries it's either banks or the government issuing PM's because they are the most trusted and recognizable, whereas in a lot of thirdie countries you actually do have jewelry companies issuing stuff because that's the way most people "invest" money, jewelry - and they can't trust anything else because everything else has failed too recently in the past.
Not a problem with the bar in this case, but the country it comes from.

>You trust your government-issued PM's
They're generally pretty reliable. It's more about whether your citizens have the memory of the government raping them in their head enough to never buy from them though, and the government being too poor to issue them.
It's a systemic issue and not really related to PM's at all, but about how thirdie governments just can't be trusted to do the most basic things like issue coinage and currency.

And also US junk silver is some of the most desired silver in the world.

>Everyone talking about like a couple hundred ounces stacks in this thread
>Meanwhile there's a 180 million ounce shortage from 2 years ago, and estimated over 200 now
Retail is literally never ever selling enough silver to fill this gap, that's the funny thing. It all has to come out of dedicated stockpiles, there's no way they're putting together hundreds of millions of ounces every single year for 20 years until the supply deficit is fixed.
Stackers really only have a few hundred to a few thousand, and they're not gonna be selling to fix this shit. A 20% deficit is WAY too much, and we're well above that now.
And also we can do those wacky hypotheticals, if 1% of the world population bought 1 ounce of silver that would be 80 million ounces, and the deficit would surge 30%.
Now imagine boomer retirement accounts in america buying 100 ounces.

WTF, it just hit me, this is really happening.
I could literally do NOTHING with my 300 ounces and I'm still rich and retired.
I was getting bad fomo and anxiety thinking about missing a day of work today, but now not at all. Whatever, I'm already rich.

In fact, It's slowly dawning on me that I'll be vastly rich in the future one way or another anyway, and that I just need to relax and do what I like - yeah, I know, I know, stack or whatever, but at the end of the day I'm in the top 3% or so of silver holders possible worldwide. There's no reason to worry anymore, I can earn my keep with doing odd jobs with my hands and I'm basically immune from depressions / recessions.

This annoys me and doesn't annoy me, I have roughly 500 in mortgage payments I'm responsible for per month, and my fiat is losing value, but soon my mortgage payments will be such that literally 1 single ounce of silver is enough.
And everyone asks, I'm buying a house with family members (non-nigger family so this is possible), that's why it's only 500 a month.

Basically if you have any kind of denbts like I am sadly saddled with they're just gonna float away to insignificant amounts, and my phsyical PM's are all hidden and not logged anywhere so they couldn't repossess them even if they wanted to.

Unironically yes. and it's not really "paltry", there simply is NOT enough silver if the world wants to buy in.
This is what did it for me, the current / existing supply in the world is nothing. There's still a decent world reserve of gold at its 4,000 price tag, that would be hard to buy up.
10 million people buying 100 ounces each - and boomers in america alone could do this overnight - would increase the global deficit by 50%. We don't make enough, we won't make enough for decades in the future. That's what the supply deficit means in the end, it cannot supply enough for this tiny existing retail market, and if retail ever gets interested the way they're interested in gold that literally multiplies the demand by 10x.

300 ounces of gold is easily enough. Start thinking of silver as discount gold, pretend that's 100 ounces of gold or so. Now apply this to deflated currency + most people going into debt and jobless, you will literally be a king with 300 ounces.
>>
>>61063640
>Increase the deficit by 50%
Sorry, forgot to carry a zero.
That would be 1 billion ounces, so it would increase the global deficit by 5x. Just the boomers in america alone could put us into a billion ounce per year deficit.
>>61063594
Anon my numbers were WRONG I didn't carry a zero, 300 ounces? Stackers accumulating that much are already making a significant impact on the world supply. It's time to drop the fomo, there's not enough silver for even zoomies in america working McJobs to be satisfied if retail gets interested.
>>
>>61063640
so i should buy another 100oz is what you're saying. I only have about 150oz right now
>>
>>61063679
Probably.
That is minor-make-it, or even upper, but realistically even late in the game some guy could dump 10% of his retirement into PM's and outpace you quick.
I would be a little worried maybe if I had 150 ounces, because that would be upper-middle-class levels of stacking and not rich stacking.
>>
>>61063697
and 5oz of gold mind you**
>>
>>61063706
Eye Moe 5 ounces of gold is fun and nice, but banks hold such huge amounts of it.
At some point it's gonna have to be used to usher in the new FIAT / backed system, so you have a leg ahead here in that you can directly convert it to their gay little fiat gold-backed they come up with.
But I really do not think gold will have the same squeeze as silver, the average person can't buy in at 4,000 an ounce anymore. You essentially have an asset that in the next 5 years a middle class household can no longer buy, they're already priced out. You might be make-it tier with that, that will literally buy you a house when the government starts repossessing them for not paying taxes.

In USD: NDX up 165%, SPX up 102%, Home prices up 56%.

In gold: NDX up 7%, SPX down 18%, Home prices down 37%.

In BTC: NDX down 78%, SPX down 84%, Home prices down 87%.

In nominal USD terms, everything looks like it’s booming: stocks up triple digits, homes up double digits, “wealth” everywhere. That’s the performance everyone sees.

In gold terms, the illusion cracks: stocks and homes flat-to-negative, real wealth stagnating.

In Bitcoin terms, the veil is gone: catastrophic real losses in every traditional asset.

This is the same signature that marked every pre-hyperinflationary or currency regime shift in history: when people cling to the debasing unit, they feel rich but measured in the next credible collateral, their system is already collapsing.

And the “risk asset” meme about Bitcoin? That’s just a coping frame. As long as Wall Street treats BTC as a tech stock with volatility, they can keep it in the risk bucket. But functionally it’s already behaving like a parallel reserve ledger: it’s the only denominator that makes the post-2020 global economy look like Argentina.

The U.S. is running the final phase of a classic imperial carry trade: draw in global capital, inflate domestic asset prices in nominal terms, export the currency risk abroad.

Gold shows stagnation.

Bitcoin shows collapse.

If BTC continues to monetize, that chart is a pre-reevaluation ledger of the old world being marked down.

This isn’t a normal market cycle. It’s the unit-of-account transition phase. And almost no one is positioned for it because they’re still measuring their “returns” in the wrong yardstick.

That’s the scary layer…not just “debasement trade,” but a living record of a dying denominator.
