QRD on doing this VS the stock market, keep in mind this is from the ramsey show when people say a similar thing - I've had to listen to the spheal multiple times
Cashing out retirement accounts is similar to taking a 30% loan. You lose the upside of said accounts, pay a fee, and pay taxes on it. And this compounds, so next year it's like another loss. This is assuming current stock market growth.
Now my take - on the other hand, silver is already at 50, and if you have less than 50% of your net worth in PM's you really are not ready for a dip in the stock market - even financial institutions are now saying to put 20% of your net worth into PM's.
I'd do it acknowledging the 30% "loss", as I'm not sure the stock market will keep going up, but I'm sure that silver will keep going up exponentially. I wouldn't want to have my retirement tied to stock values right now, we'll likely see some huge jumps but it's impossible to time the top - which we very well could be near for stocks. You know we're not near the top for silver.

The most important takeaway from all of this is that the stock market has effectively crashed / crabbed 2 times in the past 60 years - for decade-long periods. Are we in one of those periods soon, or are we not? Because if we're close to the 0% growth stock market that's happened for 20 of the past 60 years you're retarded for having your life savings and retirement in there solely.
Basically a 1 in 3 chance PM's vastly outperform the stock market in a given year, and a 2 in 3 chance stocks outperform - and these years come in clumps of 10-20 years at a time, so you could be behind by literally 20 years if you don't have diversified assets.

And here's the stock market - sp500 - with crabs / dumps marked on it.
This is what you're up against, and look at that, we haven't had a crab / dump in a while.
It's impossible to time the top, and when it dumps it dumps HARD for literally a decade or more.

Basically 50% I'd put right into PM's, and leave the other 50%, because if the stock market continues sure I missed out on some gainz, but if it crab / dumps I'm fucked for literally a decade.

Alright, I get annoyed when this gets spammed but it's time to put an end to FOMO
>Is 100 ounces poverty?
>It's over, I haven't made it.
>FOMOing hard
60 ounces puts you in the top 1.2% possible world stacker population - and the actual available supply is MUCH lower due to whales holding much of this.
You are already top 1% if you have 100 ounces, you could literally not lift a finger and you're a top 1% stacker when the world starts buying. If you gradually accumulate 5 ounces per month for the next year you end the year at 160 ounces, putting you in the top .5% of the population.
Anyone who has over 100 ounces needs to stop fomoing, relax, and realize they've already made it and the only thing they're arguing about is whether they'll own 400 acres or 500, and 10 houses or 11, at the end of all this.

>>
Reminder that if the economy crashes and silver moons, it will be Indians buying everything up
>>
>>61063935
Very based take. Its not about the amount you have, but what bracket you fall into.
Any bracket, anywhere, for anything (savings, crypto, home ownership, land ownership, literally anything) that puts you into the top 1% means you are doing very well.
>>
Price so good I'm puking
>>
>>61063933
$100 is a sure bet, but I'm selling some at $90, which seems counterintuitive if we're in a runaway hyperinflation start but I'm aiming to stockpile a few things BEFORE I have to use an ounce of silver or gold for basic commodities -AND- not gamble using the charge card.

>>61063935
>>61063950
we should be encouraging the FOMO to buy in now while the getting is good before it goes tits up and we can't buy it anymore because it's priced out (dollar collapse)

>If silver moons
If gold moons, india really does not own a lot of silver - gold has spiritual significance in their culture and they only invest in gold.
And the total amount they own averaged around their population is only 2 ounces per person, they effectively cannot stack anymore and are limited to whatever they've managed to stack now that the price is 3x as high as 6 years ago. That was their life savings they spent to buy that 2 ounces, their life's work, wedding gifts.

Basically indians are not buying up anything, they only hold 2 ounces each. They might be able to retire with it, though.
>>61063962
Yeah, but on the other hand nobody here with 100 ounces or more has "missed out", they've already made it. I just wanna point to the real situation we're facing - I'm going to be talking to my normalnigger family relatives even and convincing them to buy based on said information.

Advise to you and everyone else in the thread - if you can, stack shelf-stable food along with PMs for a hyper-inflationary scenario. Also know where/how to gather, grow, and ideally hunt food in your area. I see so much fruit falling off trees innawoods near me.
>>
>>61063995
There really is no reason to be stressed all the time and worry about it.
Sure, buy, convince your relatives to buy, but stop pretending that only having 4 mansions instead of 5 makes you poor. You're already mega-rich with 100 ounces. Worry about getting your family to buy so you don't have to bail them out, and your friends too, basically it's better to just consistently stack over the next year and cover your bases while relaxing.

Additionally to this; Plant fruit trees with alternating fruiting times. Can and jar the results (syrup, jelly, jam, preserves). Get into pickling (its brain dead easy) as well for vegetables. Eat these on rotation so the oldest ones don't go bad, but that you have spares in bad times.
>>61064028
Also, don't forget water filtration solutions beyond camping tier setups. Look into reverse osmosis setups that you can run via a generator or even manual pumping/gravity. Get multiple solutions for redundancy, and also get learned on DIY solutions (charcoal, sand, loam, etc sieves).
>>
>>61064009
Lifelong foraging / gatherer guy here.
It really is overrated for finding food. The best you can get is some tubers and in-season fruit, hunting is by far superior in every single way. It's more nutritious, it's more readily available (don't have to worry about seasons), it's more palatable - good luck eating a significant amount of foraged apples, you'd probably have to process them into cider or apple butter or something to even make a large amount palatable.

But yeah, generally good advice anyway, just know that you will literally never feed yourself with foraging some wild vegetables and fruit. Apples and ornamental serviceberries are your best bet but I would never be able to get anywhere close to 1,000 calories a day from them averaged throughout the year.
>>61064031
True. I'm just not worried anymore. I'm calm and relaxed, I've already made it and now I'm just worried about getting my affairs in order. Not like I stopped stacking, I just know I'm rich now.
>>61064024
This + plat. They actually are bad investments when you see what silver or gold are doing. I'd only consider them if silver and gold's bull market actually dumps, I'd start slurping them along with other PM's, but they're never really gonna be valuable long-term. We aren't even close to exhausting platinum supplies, it's so unwanted that it's mined in a couple shithole countries and the only potential price spikes are because said countries might collapse / do communism again.
>>
I don’t know about you all... but because of Corona this is the first time since college that I’ve felt alive. I have lots of silver and been waiting for something like this to happen for 5 years. The point where things get so bad that 1 silver merc dime will buy me a blowjob from a formerly well to do housewife and her 18 year old daughter at the same time. I’ve been waiting in the shadows laughing at these cuck husbands who buy their wives range rovers instead of buying silver bullion... knowing that I’ll be face fucking their wives mouths for the 1.30$ it cost me to buy that silver dime. Just yesterday at Whole Foods I seamlessly entered into conversation about Corona with a roastie milf that had a ring on her finger in the water aisle... and I said this is all a cover for trump to bring us back on a gold standard. She started looking at me in amazement like she wanted me to paint her lips in cum. At the end of the conversation I’m like take my number l have plenty of protection and freeze dried food if you ever need it and she took it from me.

Problem is that it was valued at less than platinum for the longest time, then the unmentionable war that I will not name because it awakens spammers / bots happened causing a supply crunch, and now industrial uses have already switched back to platinum because of palladium's price and unavailability.
There's a predicted palladium SURPLUS of a fairly large amount in the next few years, whereas platinum's supply is predicted to be in a deficit. It's the wrong thing to be picking up right now, but platinum's fundamentals are still stable.

I do still consider 1600 platinum a good deal. It's just not gonna grow nearly as much as other PM's.

700 Toz guy here
it doesn't ever feel like enough. if i can make it to 1000 Toz of silver and 15 Toz of gold I will be calm..... but its like real-estate I own 2 homes rent one live in the other....if i could own one more and rent it also I would feel infinity more secure. But i gotta pay down the debt on this one more so the bank will give me a 3rd....so 5 years before i can do it again.

never pay more than your mortgage minimum, never be cash poor to invest in shit, work harder when your under 40...you got the energy now use it.

This with a particular emphasis on meat + what you can reasonably cook good tasting meals with.
Vegetables were never in a shortage the same way meat and eggs were during famines / rationing times. Meat has already had a few supply shocks recently, imagine the biden meat prices but x10.
Wheat, corn, beans, rice, none of these will have similar supply shocks that meat will feel if things go south. They'll still go up, but it won't be like meat where you won't be able to find hamburger for under 10 bucks a pound.
>>61064136

here is a transcript of an NDE a guy had a couple years ago, where he describes being shown how the collapse unfolds (by Jesus). just adding for anyone who is receptive to it.
https://youtu.be/CjF9gCeDu8c?t=299

he basically says there will be a sudden financial collapse after a last market build up, then the banks will fail, people wont have access to cash and/or will be in lines to try to get their money out.

he also says there will be a period of chaos (similar to what is described in >>61064179 and >>61064132 ). food shortages, power outages, thefts, killings, chaos on the streets, etc - that all the stuff people were fighting about online will instantly become petty nothings.

then after people have suffered some and gotten desperate, then elon will present the new biometric digital ID which interfaces with a new internet and other technologies, and trump will eventually mandate it (having good intentions but being deceived) under law.

he says there will be an on ramping pressuring period similar to covid, and there will be big contentions in the churches over it, most people eventually taking it. the people who don't will be excluded from society and have to live off grid, and it will only get worse from there.

How does one only stack this much? That was like, what I bought when I realized stacking was a thing while working minimum wage.
If I had this little I would ask my boss for overtime, do odd jobs for the family, and beg for a loan to immediately get to 100 bare minimum.
Really triple digits is where stacking begins, by next year silver will be over 60 an ounce and you'll be priced out even worse than now if you can only stack such a pitiful amount. At this level you better just convince all your relatives to stack and leech off them, because you're NGMI.
Btw, 1 ounce a day for a year still takes you to 400 by next christmas, but that's gradually getting harder and harder to do.

>Accumulate slow and steady
If this was your plan at the start of this year here's a QRD on how it would have went, let's pretend you have 50 dollars per workday, 250 a week, to invest in PM's, and this is with 0% premiums because I'm not calculating that shit.
>Roughly 33 ounces per month bought throughout january at an average of 30 per ounce
>Throughout the next months you could average 30 per month at 33 per ounce (up until june, when the price spiked really started)
>Buying now at 50 only gets you 20 ounces per month
You are rapidly missing out in real time. You may be able to gradually accumulate, but just this year you've lost 50% of your stacking ability. It's time to panic-stack with as much as you can, hoping to reach an okay number. I'm not sure I'd ever reach a decent stack if I could only do 20 a month, so if you're only doing some paltry 50 a day it's not enough, 100 a day gets you 40 ounces a month at today's amount, which also isn't enough.

>>61064413
>Ounce targets
100 for low-make-it, 300 for medium-make-it, 500 to be assured.
>Target to get in at
I don't think it's correcting much. At absolute best it'll drop maybe a few dollars - I think 45 is possible but not likely, and it'll probably jump up once 50 is broken because of normie psychology. The most significant dump of this year was a tiny little 3 dollar drop, and right after that we got into exponential growth. You cannot bet on drops anymore, they get slurped too quick.

Basically if you try to time the dip you've already lost, silver has gone up 10% in 2 weeks, and that would have been the size of the likely dip. The best price is now. It won't reliably get better, just keep buying as much as you can as fast as you can.

>90% lost / unrecoverable
Something like that. We have produced a lot, but for the vast majority of history silver has been in common change, in cups and glasses and silverware, used in various industries.
it wasn't like gold where we still have the majority of it stored in bullion, there simply isn't a lot of silver out there that's recoverable because through gradual wear it's been worn down.

I'd even say 90% recoverable is wrong going by how worn some dimes are.

On Jan 18 1980 silver reached $49.45. Adjusted for inflation that is $194.42.

Seriously, if make it tier is $1M in 2025 dollars, and this guy says 100 oz is enough, that means 1M / 100 = $10,000 / toz would be the price for silver in order to make it, not counting inflation and also not counting how much that will need to continue to increase in order to sustain you.

I'm not saying silver will never reach $10,000 (inflation adjusted), but I mean... come on, even for a stacker, that's a pretty wild thing to REQUIRE in order to make it. If you stack 1000 oz, then that number drops to a more reasonable $1,000/toz, which is still pretty high. If you stack 2500 oz, then you only need silver to reach $400 which could honestly happen any year now.

We are drawing down the above ground sources by 25% this year alone. We are down 2.5 million available ounces.

>Global platinum recycling fell in 2024 by 1% to the lowest level in WPIC data going back to 2013, and is expected to increase only marginally in 2025 due to constraints in the supply of spent autocatalysts and declines in jewellery recycling.

To cover the deficit, above-ground stocks will fall by 25% to 2.5 million ounces, equal to less than four months of global demand.

>If make it is 1m in 2025 dollars
TBQHWY this is where the contention lies, I'm talking about the black swan collapse of fiat.
The consequences / implications of that aren't anything to do with the dollar price per ounce of silver, but about liquidity.
During the great depression land was inflation-adjusted somewhere around 500 an acre on average, and you could scoop it up for much cheaper because it would just get taken when people couldn't pay taxes on it. Houses dropped 60%. Everything deflated.
The thing about the collapse of fiat would be that nobody would have liquidity, but the government would still require taxes, banks would require mortgage payments, and no judge has ever stopped them.
On top of this any investment in the market would have done a 10x easily with zero effort, if you were the only person with liquidity you could buy land, houses, investments, anything for peanuts. Poor / weak fiat makes this even easier.

Really we haven't seen a depression / recession that was a real one for so long, but your entire attitude will change when unemployment rises 30% and people start losing their houses and land. Needing a million dollars? No, you just have to be able to pay the mortgage on someone's house that they couldn't pay.

Hey, maybe it'll happen, but just be aware that in that situation a single ASE will have to have the buying power that $10,000 does in todays economy. That means if you want to buy some food ($10), you'll be spending 10/10,000 = 0.001 toz of silver or 1/1000th of an ASE. At that point, silver can't be used for money anymore unless you're buying land. Who knows, maybe we'll use copper. But I'm not counting on that scenario. If silver hits $400, I'll be a happy pappy.

It's a nice feeling having a pure element that's so valuable, but also useful in your hands.

>Will have to have the buying power that 10,000 does it today's economy
That's the thing though, today's economy could be gone tomorrow, and 1 million dollars "make it" is entirely arbitrary. You just need to have liquidity, use the liquidity when required one time (this generates additional value), then boom, there you go.
It doesn't need a buying power of 1 million, you need to be able to get a couple houses for an unbelievably good price - this is what happens during any crash anyway -, hold them until the shakeout's over, then sell them. This will be true of many assets, this will also be true of stocks.
>At that point silver can't be used for money anymore
I'm not expecting it to be used for money during the crash, instead it will be used to trade directly for assets, then said people will trade it for money so they can try to save some of their shit that the taxman and bank are stealing.

Again, none of this is a hypothetical, I've heard great depression land transfer stories all my life. When people can't pay their bills inflated assets that cost money to maintain become nearly free.

>>
>>61065084
Your making a rather huge assumption, and that's that everything is appropriately priced in relation to each other.
This isn't the case at all.
Silver doesn't need the buying power of 10k in order for the asset swap to be viable because nothing is properly priced. We are literally in an everything bubble. So things inflated much more than others.
Houses are a prime example, they are depreciating assets that's are over inflated beyond all recognition so the boomers can call themselves millionaires.
We are going to enter a whole era of price discovery for everything.

>>
>>61065181
Yeah, this is mega-true.
I'm in rural new york with my house - we have the income of a midwestern flyover shithole, but with new york city taxes of 3% per year.
Our houses in the area are worth 150,000 and didn't see any real significant price increase, but every single year they cost us 5,000 dollars in just tax alone. Now add in heating so the pipes don't burst in winter, add in electricity, you're looking at paying 10,000 a year to live in a cold shithole with no jobs.
Houses so easily turn into liabilities, most people are just not used to being jobless so they don't realize they're being hit with 10,000 in liabilities each year, they just shoulder the burden and keep on walking, and without significant savings most people will NOT be able to pay for a house, the taxes on it, and the mortgage.
Houses will go up naturally when (if) jobs return, but they won't reach wacky numbers very quick, and people will be well-aware of the risks associated with owning one of them. It'll be such an easy swing, house prices go to near-zero from liability reasons, you now own 2 or 3 houses and some land, and then you hold while they return to normal. You've not only benefited from a 5x or 10x silver price, but you bought an asset for 10,000 that will be worth 100,000 in a few years.

This fiat bullshit, but also trading, is all multiplicative. It literally just takes 2 good trades to make it, and having the liquidity along with a rapidly appreciating asset (precious metals) is one of the trades, boom, already done.

For critical applications, solder, jewellery and dinner plates aren't critical applications.

That weirdo billionaire who wants his germ free self sterilizing forks will still buy it, but it's not going to be 200 million ounces per year of demand like it is now.

I look at my silver rounds that stay in a sealed tube and are already oxidized from just having my finger oils on it and I'm disgusted; it's not a real precious metal like gold. Even the actual precious metal version platinum isn't as popular as gold. Silver will squeeze and spike in value, but if you don't get out while it's high then you're going to be holding bags for another 15 years.

The units are irrelevant. In today's world, it would cost me about $1M to "make it" i.e. to quit working and still live well. In the future economy scenario you guys are talking about, $1M might be worthless, and 100oz of silver might be worth a lot. The original anon was saying that 100oz would be enough to "make it". To me that means enough so that I never have to work again. In order for that to happen, each oz of silver will need to buy me as much food as $10,000 will in todays money. I'll need to get a decent meal for 1/1000th an oz of silver. This isn't arbitrary at all.

Its little bit insulting that whatever the source of 'energy/money' behind him is, they sent the absolute most low iq drooler.
I want a cool smooth high IQ CIA handler or at worst some childslaying mossad ex military guy :(
Instead we get a indian, thats low iq even compared to indians.

Ugh. I'm going to sit tight and not FOMO. I still have 50ish oz, and I just have a gut feeling it'll drop to low $40s sometime soon.

What causes someone to be such a greedy jew that they wait for a dip during a year-long bull market when they hardly even have any ounces at all?

ECB has ad some + 130 EUR Milliard money back into the economy/banks despite their try to reduce money ammount. We wil see if they give up this week(next weks) more of their policy, possibly to pump up France, still not reduced the C-19 spending from 2020-2022, just half of it. Next crisis need again double ammount of money, this should break the neck of EU+tEURo finally. 20-30 % inflation to expect then. Might try prevent this with digi-EUR but will only slow down this process. Only then would skip/jump on gold(silver, platin, palladium etc.)standard to keep up with BRIICS. Why so slow, why not now/at once, but they prefare to put people into chaos first. It's not arbitrary, you're just exposing your ignorance of economics. 100oz is easily make it.
Buy the means of production retard. With 10 oz you can easily buy out the debt burying some small successful business. Pay your employees in merc dimes for a few years til things get better. Now you own a very successful business with a loyal crew cause you paid with real money and kept them afloat during the upheaval.
Bam, you made it. Hire an accountant and a manager and go fuck hookers in Thailand. They'll do it for copper pennies.

You're inability to make it with 100ozs does not negate that it's easy to do. It simply means youre not supposed to make it.
If all you can see is the food in your hand you should stay in barter.

Idk exactly how it will all play out, if situations like the one you described will actually play out but I don't know this, if and probably when, the US economy collapses, those survivors with real physical coin, gold and silver, will have a voice in how things get reorganized in the aftermath. Those that have no physical assets will have no voice, no say in how the post world looks and operates

Weimar conditions were so bad because Germany was not able to repay their Versailles reparations with Marks. They had to sell their own currency for foreign currency to then repay the loans, so that is largely what made Weimar so bad. Also, foreigners were able to live like kings in Germany so they would show up and vacation and shop using a currency worth far more than your own. And everyone was more than happy to sell to acquire that foreign currency rather than help out your fellow man.
One of the most important things to remember is that there is a lot of productive capacity in the world so we are not just going to be completely destitute. It is savings stored in credit that is where the losses will be felt the most. America, however, has a $700BN trade deficit and that is going to hurt particularly bad when we are all comparatively impoverished. Our country is similar to someone maxing out his credit cards; we feel wealthy as can be even though what we have been doing the last 40-50 years is not at all sustainable. There will be some sour grapes for sure when trade reverts to net zero as it has always been.
One story I saw in "When Money Dies" was a bachelor with no children, walked into a shop that had almost nothing to sell and he bought swaddling baby clothes because that is all they had. It didn't even matter other than getting rid of the cash as quickly as you possibly could. Even useless materials were better than the money.

The current supply deficit is over 200 million ounces per year, or 20% of global production. Somewhere around 1 billion ounces are produced each year (actually gradually declining, but recycling makes the 1 billion figure somewhat stable), leaving 200 million unfulfilled - pulled out of warehouses / stockpiles.
Yes. It's impossible to know exactly how much there is left, but 180 million 2 years ago, 200 million in 2024, numbers not released for 2025 but higher demand than usual this year.
There is and has been a deficit, that deficit creates a shortage at some unknown time. They don't keep decades of the stuff lying around.

Tip for my PM bros for some stuff that's coming up. Specifically for those who have understand the gains in allocating 25% to miners. Lets get to it. First we are coming up on the 3rd quarter reporting period. The market is clearly igniting. I made 5% today. So should you. Because the area is starting to draw bag chasers and trend followers. Here is something that may be of interest. I will do this in multiple posts. First. Here is a list of upcoming reporting. Hard data to gather so AI assisted. Double check each one. List attached. Incomplete list probably. Ive full time job so only had 1 hour.

Part two. There are hundreds of companies in my data bases. The main point is. Some are major producers, some minor, some explorers and streamers and royalty companies. You ONLY want producers. So. Look at each reporting date. Before that date do some checks. Its easy enough. Use AI. The 4 important questions to ask are in attached image. Once they are actually producers (not explorers or drillers or streamers) and the Al IN Sustaining cost is low (well it has to be! they are all usually 1200-2200 dollars an ounce). And debt is low and free cash is good. Then they are candidates. Given they satisfy the above. Their quarterlies are guaranteed to be cash machines. SO a day or two before you load up on them and wait. They positive cash numbers and margins news will make them particularly strong on the day

Part three. How to organise your holdings. This is subjective I concede. I have come round to the basic formula. Say I have 20,000 portfolio. My approach is to basically simulate the holdings of the ETFs.The ones I use and available to me in Europe as being tax compliant as as follows.

Global X Silver Miners SLVR
HanETF AuAg ESG Gold Mining ZSGO
VanEck Global Mining WMIN
VanEck Gold Miners G2X
VanEck Junior Gold Miners G2XJ

The bottom two are GDX and GDXJ for Americans. The point being. If i have 20,000. I keep a constant 5,000 in these 5. They are diversified and average out the mining market and act as my "float". The other 15,000 I have divided over 100 stocks that are the most consistent of the holdings across these 5 ETFs. You can compile this lust yourself. Its educational. So 15,000/100 (you can weight of course). And 5k in 5 ETFs.

They will do their best to slam the brakes on at 50/1.bet we sit there for a while. 100/5000 is my guess. That will be a good time to consider readjusting your metal exposure. Till then enjoy the ride.
I'm not adjusting anything till 50/1 GSR or platinum flips gold

in all seriousness though, imagine saying reddit is nazis when we have a decade of proof that its run by glowniggers and chairforce brownoids at multiple bases across the US, Eglin only being the most widely known.

If you live in the west you should be looking in to it. Russia and South Africa are the only producers, US has been draining other countries of platinum in fear of tariffs and we are set to draw down 25% of the 8.5 million oz supply this year.
Also 90% platinum 10% gold allow is a wonder metal that is completely wear roof and oduces carbon nanotubes naturally as a lubricant under extreme stress.
Pmg is sleeping on platinum.
>>

>>

I avoided it for years cause "muh more expensive silver"
A friend cluing me in on that plat/gold alloy is what made me fomo.
I've got engineering background. I know the potential of lifetime warranty bearings and joints that don't require maintenance or lubrication.
I upped into my gold a while back at 3/1 and my silver stack at 38/1 to pick up 7oz of platinum total.
Outperformed my gold even with this current run and I'm betting it beats out silver too in the short term.
Plat will flip gold long before silver does. Fundamentals are better and the charts show it.
Don't get.me wrong, 100oz silver should be the foundation of your stack, but you start getting over 25-30 lbs of silver and have at least 3-5oz of gold you should definitely be looking real hard at platinum.
Especially if you live in the west. They don't even repeat how much platinum we have stored in vaults. We oy know not much has been pulled out of the ground.
