Money is a tool to claim labor. If money cease to be worth anything i.e. inflation goes up and eats away purchasing power, people will stop working and consuming shit. Your AI meme economy derives value from an end user paying for whatever this hypothetical AI supply chain will output. If people are not buying shit, everything that derives value from AI except margin improvements and productivity efficiencies are worthless. Your cherry picking of retarded normie trends in discretionairy consumer trends is a tiny, tiny fraction of this equation.

It's a palladium/copper project in Canada, fully permitted. They are looking to get funding to get it built, and have been going with the strategic metals angle. You can go down 5x faster than it goes up. You owe tax on that 130 profit, if your base currency is not USD then that bump could be eaten up by exchange fees. Picking individual stocks is extremely risky, 70% chance of loss.

I reccomend you take out your positions before they go down and watch these videos before throwing your money away:

You could try options in paper account. Or add to your brokers watchlist and watch how it behaves in real time. Options are great way to leverage directional movements but they are bad idea to hold into expiration.

Schwab has a "Learn" page where you can take courses that help explain options (which I think you'll need to take before they let you trade them, or you need to prove you've traded them before)

There is literally zero reason to own a stock instead of buying calls.

Unless you are selling calls. But in that case you should be buying puts. Soon we will enter an era where stocks don't move because everyone is trading options.

You put in an online application through your brokerage account, and then there's a short phone interview.

(That's who I trade with.)

However, they're gonna start you off with very limited access. Covered calls, maybe basic long positions . . . They're not going to let you play with iron condors and the like until you prove that you know what you're doing.

>The fiduciary markets are just a neo-colonialist simulation wherein option flow from the third world enriches the first and cements wall street's stranglehold over the globe.

The real economy is as follows:

1. You pay a boomer 60% of your pay for rent
2. That boomer is scammed by an Indian call centre
3. That jeet scammer loses a 0DTE that a youtuber/tiktoker recommended
4. Wall street gets richer, buys up land and your rent goes up

1. You pay a boomer 70% of your pay for rent.

And so and so forth.

Optionfags, help me understand something

When buying a call, you hope to have the stock go up so that the strike price is below actual price and you make a nice profit (minus the premium)
When selling an option, you're collecting that premium and keep it if the contract goes unfulfilled, but if the contract is fulfilled then you're on the hook for buying 100 of a stock in order to fulfill the contract.

Doesnt that make buying calls far safer than selling them? If you buy a call and it goes unfulfilled you're just down the premium (which you paid for already and were aware of exactly how much it would be, and can be a reasonable price depending on certain factors). Whereas with selling them you can easily be on the hook for thousands?

Mind you im a retard who hasn't been cleared for options trading yet

Dumb money didn't have an app on their phone that they could gamble on stocks and 0DTE in 2014. Now they all do.

There has never been so much speculating, April was supposed to be the big rugging but retail just kept on slurping, many are outperforming heritage firms on the street.

In short, line go up is a self fulfilling prophecy. Enough people believe in it so it is true.
>>
>>61065505
Yes. A long call position has a tightly limited downside. You pay cash for the call and the worst thing that can happen is nothing. When selling a naked call, you can theoretically lose any amount of money. There's no contractual limit. (In practice, your broker will close your position if your losses get too high.)
>>

But its poomping

Plug Power just became a meme lol

Meme stock is back

This version of MEME looks a bit different from the original. Rather than tracking a social-media-based index, the new fund is actively managed, giving Roundhill more flexibility in deciding what to hold.

Still, the process has some structure. The fund starts by looking at the 200 most actively traded stocks in the U.S., then narrows that list to the 30 with the highest implied volatility—a measure of how much the market expects a stock’s price to swing in the future.

From there, Roundhill selects between 13 and 25 stocks showing strong social media momentum, or spikes in online engagement.
The ETF’s initial holdings include Opendoor Technologies (12%), Plug Power (11%), Applied Digital (9%), QuantumScape (8%), and Cipher Mining (7%).

We're talking about selling naked calls, meaning you're short the call and you don't own any of the underlying stock. You can also sell covered calls, where you're short the call but you own at least 100 shares of the underlying stock. That's very safe because you already own the 100 shares that you could potentially owe. So even if the stock's price shoots up extremely high, the worst that can happen is you'll have to give up 100 of your shares.

isnt the success of TA really just self fulfilling prophecy?

if the TA says to sell at a certain point because the price will go down afterwards, and enough people all have access to the data and follow the same rules that allow them to draw this conclusion, won't the price go down at that special TA point just because so many people are selling cause TA told them to?
>>
Why would you sell when it is clearly a buy and hold market?
>>
>>61065662
>but you at least wont be putting money straight out of your pocket to pay it off.

How is this shit legal? Are the owners of this company basically selling shares to get rich or what? And it's been going like this for several years? Why does the SEC allow this?
>>
>>61065628
When you're short a put, you're promising to buy 100 shares of the underlying stock at a prearranged price, if asked to, until the put expires. Even if the stock's market price goes to zero! Why would you make a promise like that? Because, roughly speaking, you don't think the stock's price is going much lower than that prearranged purchase price.
>>
>>61065628
buying puts is hoping the stock goes down as much as possible so you can buy it at its lowest and immediately resell it at the strike price.

When selling puts youre hoping the price stays above the strike price so that you can collect all the premium from selling the puts. You generally WANT the stock to go up higher.

Skill issue. Do you see this position? this small bump on this 0DTE put? That small bump represents a +150% increase, from $0.37 to $0.93. x2.5 ing your account in a day. You had all this time to make gains while being bearish, anything between +0 to x2.5, and you didn't take any of it.

>>61065770
No I don’t see it
>>
>>61065709
Not sure what you're trying to say. I am not alleging to have discovered anything novel.

I am just saying that if TA tells a bunch of people that the price will peak and then go down at a certain point, then these people will all sell at that point and end up being the ones to cause the price to go down, thereby 'self-fulfilling' the prophecy.

People officially started stock trading in an organized exchange in the year 1602. The first modern stock exchange, the Amsterdam Stock Exchange, was established in that year to trade shares of the Dutch East India Company.

Technical analysis became well established in the early 20th century, specifically with the codification and development of Dow Theory in the years 1900–1902

In theory, yes. When prices give some clue that traders can make money by exploiting, traders will do that. As a consequence, the prices stop giving that clue. Markets destroy information.

Real-world markets are imperfect, though. Traders report that, sometimes, old strategies that stopped working years ago start working again. I think this is more likely in times of market stress.

yes, you're saying that the patterns in the stock market predate the recognition of those patterns. but at this point, for as long as TA has been around, some degree of the accuracy does have to be caused by the expectations/self-fulfilling, no? and if so, what degree?

savvy investing only gets you a sooner retirement of like 5 years which is meaningless when it's between 60-65. My life will be over by then. Even if you are a god tier stock picker and net a double bagger, all you did was flip your poorfolio from 5-10k to 10-20k, which doesnt move the needle at all. Not even enough to cover rent in a big city for a year. How many double baggers can you call in a row consistently before it blows up in your face? I want to retire now, not in 40 years or 35 by savvy. give me leverage. the american dream is unironcially dead and this is early neo-feudalism. make it or die trying.
