Oh yeah anyway my opinion is that this selloff will continue for another month or two. If you look at august last year and march/april the selloff was extended, not over quick just like that.

Blimpf might be, as some have said, deliberately shaking the markets when the RSI gets too high to prevent a real crash. This is more useful for him if he wants to win the midterms. Could provide good buying opportunities when it gets down 10-20%.

Based on recent data for Texas Mineral Resources Corp (TMRC), the 5-day chart pattern is a textbook demonstration of a Strong Uptrend or a Bull Flag continuation pattern.
1. The 5-Day Chart Pattern: Strong Uptrend / Potential Bull Flag
The most prominent feature is the significant percentage gain over the five-day period, as cited by technical data:
* Performance: The 5-day change is often reported as being between +22% to +34% (depending on the exact dates used for the analysis). This clearly establishes a short-term Strong Uptrend on the 5-day chart.
* Higher Highs and Higher Lows: Each day (or two) typically closes higher than the previous one, maintaining a distinct upward slope.
* Volume Spikes: The strong move is often accompanied by bursts of high trading volume, indicating strong buyer interest.
* A "Flagpole" and "Consolidation" (Bull Flag): In some instances within the 5-day window, or immediately following it, the sharp initial rise (the "flagpole") is followed by a period of sideways or slightly downward price movement (the "flag"). This is a Bull Flag—a continuation pattern.
2. Implications of the Pattern
Bullish Implication (Continuation):
* Strong Short-Term Momentum: The most immediate implication is that the stock has very strong short-term bullish momentum. Buyers are aggressively pushing the price higher, likely in reaction to recent news, market sector trends (rare earth/critical minerals), or a surge in speculative interest common in OTC stocks.
* Potential for Further Upside: If the pattern is a true Bull Flag, the expectation is that the price consoli...
In Summary:
The 5-day chart for TMRC exhibits a Strong Uptrend, often forming a Bull Flag continuation pattern. This signals powerful short-term momentum and the potential for the stock to continue its ascent. However, due to the magnitude and speed of the rise, the stock is considered high-risk and potentially overbought, necessitating extreme caution for any new trades.

I'm sticking with my crab hypothesis. The whole point of the 100% tariff was to put that over the heads of the Chinese for negotiation for the meeting at the end of the month. The market will have some uncertainties about whether a new tariff will be implemented 100% or not.

My gains today on precious materials:
NB +5.58%
UUUU +3.24%
UAMY +12.22%
METC +1.87%
USAR +4.20%

I sold all my tech and defense stocks, all that's left is Niobium, Uranium, Antimony, Coal, Gallium, Lithium and other materials which are used for tech and defense (ironic but true). All these stocks will be pumping on monday with certainty. The tariffs mentioned by Trump are about these materials. US companies are especially winning, but anyone producing these metals today won big (with a few exceptions of course).

The key is knowing which of these rare and exotic metals actually have usefulness. Uranium and Coal are obvious, Gallium, Lithium, Niobium, and Antimony you may be unfamiliar with unless you have worked in the semiconductor industry before and have insider knowledge such as myself.

Just as we use seemingly insignificant things like tiny "electrons" and invisible "charge" to store and communicate data; we can do it with even more seemingly insignificant, quantum things like the "spin" of an electron or the "energy levels" in a "superconductor".

These things seem fictitious because they are very rarely found in nature, and incredible tiny and unstable, so they are hard to observe and work with. But just as electrical phenomenon was tiny and unstable became controlled, quantum phenomenon is beginning to become controlled as well.

Applications vary, I know most about the superconducting quantum computers, they are the most straightforward and you only need to understand quantum phenomenon like super conduction and quantum tunneling in addition to standard Electrical Engineering University Physics and it all comes together relatively neatly.

It is a big bubble though. Lots of companies claim they have a computer when all they can do is stabilize certain quantum states, but don't have actually uses for it. I think QBTS was talking about quantum annealing as their products strength, and as I read their news I could not wrap my head around how it could be useful. Meanwhile we have SQUID superconducting quantum devices measuring magnetic fields at 10000x the sensitivity that a standard sensor could and we see the military quite interested in this tech. There are many other potential applications, some real, some a pump n dump quantum hoax, some potential real but may still fail, etc.

The quantum decryption algorithms are mathematically correct. The same way that the imaginary number "i" is mathematically correct in alternating current electrical mathematics. I think the "i" is just a mathematical placeholder for some quantum phenomenon, which our math can not easily express, but we can phase in and out of it.

first. read the entire comment before commenting.
second. Chinas REE are a like saudi arabian oil, high quality and easy to extract. The rest of the worlds REE are like venzuelan oil, pure crap. China is the OPEC of REE and they can turn on the tap at any time and undercut all western miners and refiners.

Example of Spin based quantum computer in use:

Quantum Mechanics in MRI
Spin States: MRI relies on the quantum property of nuclear spin. Atoms can exist in different spin states, and the transitions between these states are what an MRI measures.

>PRO-TIP: there is a stock which has been up 66%, steady climbing, for the past 3 weeks, and it is up 6% today. They are in the business of mining a metal which is needed to create the superconductors for the quantum computer in the MRI. We buy it all from China right now, and these guys found metric tons of it in under corn fields in Nebraska, top kek.

Yes but I think we will see a cultural difference between how a Chinese Nation and a European-Originated Nation mine materials. The White Man has a more delicate balance with Nature, he will sift for gold, he will use precise electromagnetic fields to select his material of choice, the Chinamen will use harsh chemicals. We must see past the limitations of the Chinese mining system and implementing a more Aryan Solution - which we already have.

Zitron is fucking annoying but is right to have been pointing out the fundamental financial problems with AI. That said, he doesn’t really grasp the real value of AI, which is effectively as a synthesizer of information, not as an executor of tasks. Even then, he understates how well AI can perform tasks. Early in the article, he links to a blog about translators being wiped out of their industry due to AI, and the conclusion there is that it’s not that AI is particularly good, but just that it’s an excuse to deliver poorer quality work. Now, I actually work in the localization industry and used to be a translator. The author is massively understating how good these LLMs can be at translating and overstating how good (most) human translators are. The author flat out pretends that the situation is basically the same as always and that machine translation engines have always been used as an excuse to replace translators, just ignoring the fact that the entire Gen AI boom is thanks to transformer technology that literally came about from research into machine translation. ChatGPT is basically an MT engine on steroids and magic mushrooms, and they’re acting like it’s nothing new. They are completely blinded by their bias. I will tell you now, chatGPT’s ability to translate is often better than MT engines’, but it’s twice as good when given the right context to make good translation choices. Right now, people just throw their text into chatGPT and hope for the best but once the industry starts fully embracing context heavy translation it’s over for the human translators.

There are no truly Aryan Nations at this time. An Aryan Nation must be an antisemetic nation, and only once our cursed Prophet is redeemed and demonstrated to be correct can this critical survival instinct be restored. The Aryan Race at this time is in a struggle for the resurrection of his Spirit, which was prophesized to us 100 years ago. We believe we can feel his Spirit beginning to rise, and the outward manifestations of such as well.

This is /smg/ but I think the existence of leveraged "bitcoin holding" companies creates a ladder of liquidation levels, and once we reach the first rung all hell breaks loose. I don't know how low it can go before it ends, if it's combined with a general market selloff and various private credit issues blowing up at the same time and decimating balance sheets (think First Brands) then there will be no liquidity to prop it up.

On the subject of de-dollarization: three years ago China created a state owned entity called "China Mineral Resources Group" which coordinates all Chinese purchases of iron ore, the single most traded commodity in the world (higher volume than crude). 1.2 billion tonnes flow to China every year (out of around 1.6 billion total in the world).

Last week, CMRG banned the import of Australian BHP iron ore, the single largest iron ore exporter in the world whose biggest customer is obviously China.

On Friday, BHP capitulated by accepting that iron ore will now be sold to China in RMB. Took them less than a week.

How should I organize my portfolio if I have 100k and about a 10-15 year time horizon. Currently I have:
~10k each in US/EU/Asia Index funds
20k in a global index fund
12k in metal ETFs
10k in "600 banks Europe" ETF
and 25k in various Nordic blue chip stocks.
Am I being completely retarded?

I don't know why everybody is shitting their pants. I'm not even slurping a lot but with the ridiculous growth in the last couple of weeks we HAD to have a pullback, and I was quietly asking for one, especially with the government opening back up, rate cuts, bullvember and a likely year end rally. the current fud is a deepseek-tier lame scare. propaganda makes people think in a binary way where china is some unstoppable juggernaut or a country full of subhuman insects.

If im 30 and I only have like 40k shouldnt I just ape into high risk high reward stocks and hope to catch a winner or two on the long run? I was thinking around 6k per ticker. I can save up like 30k a year so losing money isnt really a problem. Bogleheading for 15 years sounds pretty dreadful ngl and I dont care about the volatility because my job is safe and my cash flow is pretty good

Cash is demonstrably losing near 10% per 4 months. It’s right there. Ask yourself. If markets correct (which means trade out). Where will all those trillions go? Not to necessarily grow just to preserve for a year of turmoil? The world is bifurcating. Whole new mineral and metal and energy supply chains will need to be created in the west. Descending wedge in my opinion

Tested highs, retesting lows and has found consistent and sustained support around $17.50. Again, this stock was $5 this time last year lol.

I believe their earnings in 5 weeks will serve as catalyst to hit new highs and find a new bottom, probably $30+

They are $450M market cap and have just signed several multi million deals and one $1.5Billion deal. The earnings call will come at the very end of that descending wedge and should rocket.

I will have added at least another £10 - £15,000 by the earnings call so lets see what happens lmao.

EU banks benefit from any EU policy and fund as intermediaries; they benefit from inflation, the housing market problem that will keep going for many, many years, etc, they made a lot of money as intermediaries for the post covid eu funds, for example.
Meanwhile, defense stocks are at historic highs based on Ukraine and the promise of an 800b EU fund for defense over the next 5 years... and several countries have already said they won't participate in the spending and don't see the fund as necessary (Spain, Ireland, Portugal, Italy, Greece, and Hungary). Also, France is going either far right (and Le Pen is friendly with Putin) or far left (Melenchon is a pacifist who thinks social spending should increase dramatically). I hold Thales, Indra, and Safran, btw; I'm up 35% on average, but 10-15 years is a lot of time.
Also Kalas is a clown chosen as a lightning rod in case Ukraine collapses, nothing she says has any value if you follow national politics.

Each cycle we have enlightened anons who give great advice, then they make it and are never heard of again. If I make it I'll stick around and help out as much as possible.

First Brands was a sort of high quality target with syndicated loans.
I think people are rightly worried about what other crocks of shit and absolute frauds have been financed through "private credit" if that one failed so spectacularly.

We have to remember that the existence of so numerous large corporations being private is a relatively new phenomenon. It started when Obama passed the JOBS act in the aftermath of the GFC, until then companies were forced to IPO once they had too many shareholders which was pretty fucking early.

Non public corporations being fraudulent should not be a surprise and yet so much money has been poured into them in the chase for yield. We'll see how well that turns out.

Just before Trump's Friday announcement, China announced massive reciprocal fees on ships calling Chinese ports if they are at least 25% US controlled, including many non-US shipping companies that are listed on US stock exchanges.

Unlike the original USTR fees which carved out tons of exemptions to basically allow everyone to dodge it, the Chinese countermeasures are extremely blunt and will have a massive effect.
This flew under the radar because shipping moves the world's economy but is largely invisible.
