With the price of silver going up so much I decided to dig out the old coins that my grandfather passed down to me. (these have sentimental value so I wouldn't part with them easily) There's 9.9 troy ounces of silver in the loose coins, and another 6.3 troy ounces in the proof sets. I never realized before this that the proof sets made the coins out of 99% pure silver.From here on out I'm going to be stacking half and half into junk silver and the normal 99% rounds people usually buy.
