long-time-stacktard here.
Not afraid, nor ashamed to admit that my stack lost roughly 20k in fiat today. It might even lose more in the near future. Hell, might even crash another 10 or 20%.
But I don't give a fuck.
You know why? This is for the newbies and the FOMOs of the last weeks.
It is a fucking marathon and not a sprint.
I started buying back in 2009 when gold was around 750€ / oz.
Stopped when the trajectory went to steep in 2011.
I was there when it went down all the way through 2013.
What did I do when it went below 1000€ / oz? I started stacking again.
Gold and silver went up like crazy the last year, so this correction was to be expected.
If you want to be a stacktard wait for it to fall and crab for a while. Then buy it. Don't buy assets that are mooning.
Mix in other assets as well. Don't put all your eggs into one basket.
No - fiat will not end next week.
Calm down, be patient and stack when it's low.
Gold will be there for you in the next decades. Who cares how it is performing in a month or 2?

I moved some gold into platinum and palladium for the same reason. Gold will pick back up next year after crabbing. Going to be one last real good Christmas for a lot of people. Bulls always try to shake off the weak hands. A crash is coming and I wouldn't be surprised to see 3800.
I'll swap some silver back into gold around there. GSR will have corrected to the 60's at that point. Then I anticipate another gold rally.

Thank you baker. In case it hasn't already been mentioned, Ian Fleming modeled the character "Goldfinger" on the real life person named Charles Englehard, the same person behind the Engelhard gold and silver bars.
>Ian Fleming's character Auric Goldfinger was inspired by the American gold tycoon Charles W. Engelhard.
>Some of the similarities between Charles Engelhard and Auric Goldfinger:
>Racehorse ownership. Like Engelhard, Auric was a major racehorse-owner.
>Transporting gold. Both clandestinely transported gold about the world to avoid export restrictions.
>Business in South Africa. Engelhard developed a business relationship with the Oppenheimer family there, which controlled the diamond industry (DeBeers). Through this relationship, he was able to hatch his most infamous scheme. He set up a company in South Africa that manufactured art objects from precious metals, and shipped them to Hong Kong, where the metals were melted down into bullion. This story lives on in Ian Fleming’s Goldfinger.

Engelhard enjoyed the comparison and began calling the stewardess on his private jet, Pussy Gallore.

I feel like disclosing that I also bought 145oz of silver recently so I’m no bear obviously but there’s a good bear case really. We are in nominal all time highs for a long while if not ever I can’t really remember but it doesn’t matter because: inflation.

I cost averaged most of my buys, I bought a large sum of gold at 1800-2000. I bought silver mostly in the higher ranges. Miners? Don’t even wanna talk about it nor would most you want to hear it.

Oh I also wanted to yap about something else. I bought silver and gold back in the day because I didn’t like the m2 expansion, I still buy for that reason but back then I at least bought stocks and was interested in buying other assets. I only buy PMs or PM related assets now. Why? I have zero faith in the stock market and especially the dollar / treasuries.

Staying by the sidelines and holding bonds was a guaranteed losing strategy, never mind just holding cash like a dingus in the bank. There’s always deep value plays in stocks but I am not good at researching such companies.

Bitcoin? Never bought at 500, 10k, and not at 100k either. Dutch tulips at least you could have held in your hands back in the day. A bunch of zeroes and ones with a mysterious origin. No thanks. It could be a million dollars and I wouldn’t want it. I would trade it, but I wouldn’t long it.

They all say don't bother because recycling is going to make up the shortfall.

>>
>>61169468
No I mean as in the price set by futures and London's "spot." When people buy gold or silver in the form of ETFs, it gives them leverage to tamp the price down. The more physical the bullion bank vaults lose, the less power they have to do that. If this was 2011, gold would have been dunked like 10 - 20% today.

This goes back a decade to when China started slowly letting go of US treasuries and replacing their reserve assets with gold. They slowly bought from the west because they knew the prices were being manipulated downward. They sensed the US going into debt spiral after the fallout of 2008 and the QE, so they wanted to get out of their $1 trillion in dollar holdings. Then in 2022, Russia invaded Ukraine and the US seized treasury holdings that Russia owned. At that point, half the world started copying China and replacing their reserves with gold, because the US set a precedent of weaponizing the dollar and they were in fear of losing their assets. Once that trust was broken, it doesn't come back. That's why gold will keep going higher. As the metals markets in NYC and London are losing control, they're getting desperate and going to extreme measures to keep control of the price setting mechanism they enjoyed for decades. London doesn't have much longer and when they end up declaring force majeure over empty silver vaults, it's game over. The western world spirals into fiscal and probably martial hell from there.
>>
>>61169564
>The western world spirals into fiscal and probably martial hell from there.
So, by your best estimation, how much do you think 10oz of silver is ACTUALLY worth in this scenario where the manipulated monetary system crumbles?

Through the 6 years I've been stacking there have been years where junk actually sold for a premium (silicon valley bank crash time period), and times when ASE's were really the only thing that didn't get you raped on sale.
It's probably not best to have everything in one type, some sovereigns are needed to maintain peak liquidity at all times.
>But I don't need liquidity!
You do, it's one of the big reasons to stack. You don't even have to make it a major part of your stack, but you should always hold at least some of the most liquid silver - and this "most liquid" changes with the market circumstances.

10oz of silver is worth whatever you can negotiate for it. When London's price setting mechanism breaks, the world is fractured into the price set by NYC futures via COMEX, and Shanghai metals markets. You get a bipolar world that might value gold and silver differently. I think the amount of fear in that world gives physical holders great leverage though and you get whatever you can get for it. Some books like A Pocketbook of Gold by Sinclair, The Fourth Turning, and The Creature From Jekyll Island are good starting places. I also listen to a lot of commenters that are more experienced than me like Mario Innecco and Francis Hunt. Francis AKA The Market Sniper is an absolute blast to listen to. The man has analogies like no other and the way he contextualizes the world is like lightning in a bottle.

One day, stackers will be forced out of this chrysalis where bankers tell you what your gold and silver are worth and you'll have to work that out yourselves through your own market whether that's city-wide or state-wide or what have you. There's a 2000s movie about a bank heist called The Lookout in which a patsy ends up with the money from the heist. He's scared and doesn't know what to do, but then he realizes he has the money, he sets the rules and tells his blackmailers: "I have the money, I have the power."
>>
>>61169463
Eh...I think for the most part ASE's are just for people who like collectables and whatnot. I have never bought an ASE, though I did get one once, I'm assuming by mistake, from one of those "dealers choice" generic rounds sales online. Luckily I had a correct size tube for it. They are neat, and I get the appeal, but the premiums aren't worth it for me. In a crash they wont be worth much more than a generic round, certainly not as much as the premium paid for them.

Right now ASE's cost like 4 dollars more than generic rounds an ounce. You don't get it back. In less crazy times rounds and eagles might do about equal.
Unless it's a good deal on ASE's no, you don't get back premiums. Dealers generally have a fairly cheap source to get them from compared to what you, the buyer, will have paid for them.

silver is an speculative industrial commodity with a few monetary characteristics, mainly it was used as pocket change for boomers, and caused a huge financial panic in the late 1800s when the government was ordered to buy silver from rich mine owners that did nothing but stack up in vaults and ruin farmers and merchants until saner heads prevailed and we went back to the holy gold standard.

It's a couple things.
1. Crypto fags have a crabs in a bucket mentality. They can't comprehend someone being happy when they are not.
2. We are flush with cash and full of nufags. Easy targets.
3. Dumbasses that missed the boat and think silver works like a shitcoin. They think retail fud matters and hope they can lower the price.
Funny thing is I bet we hit low 40's on this pullback on silver and wouldn't be surprised to see 3700 on gold. I'm just hoping we get to 60's/1.

One very important thing to note about Silver versus most other assets, if the price drops overly low, industrial manufacturers will start bulk buying it so they don't have to pay more later down the line, its support isn't based on trendlines or chart analysis, but the fact producers require it.

If Silver dropped to <$40 for example, Chinese producers would probably just buy out the entire western stock, cheapies for us are also cheapies for them.

The spot price of silver and the 'real' price of silver are totally disconnected, the spot can be whatever it wants to be, if you can't actually buy any silver for that price, it's meaningless.

The Chinese middle class alone is larger than the entire American population. If silver fomo hits the bug hives then the physical supply disappears overnight.
>>
>>61170340
First things first they already did start to fomo into gold and some silver. They have been for two years now and the CCP even told people to buy gold on Wechat.

Secondly they changed the term for what middle class means in the CCP controlled shithole that is China. Therefore their middle class is actually impoverished by US standards.

Thirdly their population us actually well under a billion. Closer to 700 million. Every city and town gets paid more for the population reported to the CCP so they all obviously lie. It may even be as low as 500 million, half of what is officially reported. So no, their middle class wouldn't make the physical supply drain overnight.

But what will happen is a too high a demand and too short a supply increasing the price over time exponentially.
>>
>>61170340
chinas population is a lie dude
If you were to do the math on the 1 child policy and how replacement rates for a population are 2.1 children for each family, you would realize that China is secretly at around the same population as the US after dropping in population for decades.
How could a country have 1 child per family but still be able to grow?
You can't.
Those who were exempt were the poor farmers who will never even see gold let alone buy it.
The chinese middle class does not exist btw and the closest they have to that is an old dude who slowly saved his whole life to have a "middle class" life of only working 40 hours a week instead of chinas standard 60-80
>>
>>61170306

> How could a country have 1 child per family but still be able to grow?

>Those who were exempt were the poor farmers

You just answered your own question in the next sentence since during the one child policy there was still hundreds of millions of peasant farmers popping out kids. Those kids got educated and now work jobs in the cities. The Chinese middle class is real and coping about it is cringe CIA level fake and gayops. Last time I came to Japan the entry queue was 10% Chinese passports 5-6 years ago, a few months ago it was 90% plus. This is despite their save money mentality. And that’s another thing, average Chinese have significant savings unlike average American who is eyeball deep in debt. They need somewhere to park this shit now that RE has failed and the population is too blackpilled on the clown show that is their stock market.

They sent a plane or two to buy them some time. Probably just as a stalling tactic until Trump can meet with Xi and work out trade negotiations. >What's the point of caring if the paper price drops?
When they run out of COMEX bars for industry, shit hits the fan. Where will industry go to buy 1000oz bars, and what will be the market clearing price for physical delivery? The bullion bank jews are playing with fire. You want to see $100+ dollar silver? This is how we get $100+ dollar silver.

It can happen much faster than people imagine. I believe this price slam is a final hail mary play by the bullion banks, hoping to reverse precious metal momentum, possibly to also create an opportunity to get out from under some of their previous shorts.

Jokes on them. I'm not selling silver at $100/oz, unless gold is $1000/oz.

The jew banks may well crash the world economy to avoid letting the plebs make a gain. They already own basically everything, but their cardinal rule is to always impoverish the goy.

Consider the fuckery present in picrel, which happened a day ago. The rules don't matter to bank jewry. Rules are for friers.

Just make sure when the collapse happens to exclude jews and jeets from your farmer's commune, because they'll keep acting like this for a million years
>>
>>61170479
>I'd be amazed if they were stupid enough to send half the COMEX back to London after just re-shoring all that silver at the beginning of 2025 to begin with
Yeah, it took them literally years of saving up to reach their current stockpile, and all of that extra was shipped in to avoid tariffs, it's safe to say the COMEX is at its most stocked level it's been in probably decades. They've been slurping up silver ever since foreign banks started doing it.
>>

>I believe this price slam is a final hail mary play by the bullion banks, hoping to reverse precious metal momentum, possibly to also create an opportunity to get out from under some of their previous shorts.
Silver will be back in the 20’s by this time next year, it crashed after 2011 and it’ll crash this time
>>
>>61170512
I think the "tariff" excuse was just running cover to ship the metal back without tipping off the reason as to why. American advisors probably knew we were going into a trade war with China.

The maximum payload capacity of a Boeing 747-400F freighter is 124,330 kg, or 124 tonnes, or about 4 million troy oz, or 4000 LBMA/COMEX 1000oz bars. Maximum elevator capacity at the COMEX is about 3 million oz per day.

TLDR; airfreighting a billion oz of silver takes a very long time.

Picrel is about 12 tonnes of silver.

>Silver was $28 back in April and even lower last year and nothing like that ever happened
Jamie Dimon (Demon) flew to China a year or two ago to hammer out a deal where China was buying silver direct from the mines, (doré bars and concentrate) and backdooring silver directly from refiners.

They did this because those routes don't go through the COMEX/LBMA, so have no effect on the spot/futures prices.

At the same time, Chinese citizens were not allowed to purchase silver bullion. That policy has changed, and the gloves are off and China IS now buying silver direct from the COMEX/LBMA and putting the bars into insured shipping containers, and sending them to China.

The market can stay irrational longer than you can stay solvent when betting against it. That's why responsibly stacking physical gold and silver is the winning play. By responsible, I mean using savings to gradually accumulate at a sustainable rate. Not using credit, not using leverage, only buying what you can afford, while still setting aside some money for increasing your food stocks, and building in resilience.

The point of all of this was that there are very few chinese who can actually afford to be buying gold and the middle class is not part of that group when considering wages in china.
The median disposable income in china is about $4800 USD equivalent and in urban areas it is about $15800 and when you only make that much it all goes to savings especially since the Yuan is deflationary right now
Everyone you see traveling to foreign countries are the rich
Basically only the rich can afford to really buy up gold while the middle class are at best able to buy low karat jewelry for anniversary gifts to show off.
A strong gold market does exist in china meaning there was no risk of shortage before there.
In recent months however many gold wholesalers fucking took the money and gold and ran away due to trying to take advantage of arbitrage but getting burned when the price kept going up so there are now a larger percentage of people skeptical about buying gold unless its in front of them and they can for sure guarantee its not fake which in china is hard to find.
Plus, the middle class is starting to get even more screwed with ever increasing people trying to get into the job market but there not even being enough jobs right now because of how quick the chinese openly replace people with robots

China probably has around 10 million millionaires ($1 million+ USD) If even 10 percent of them buy a kilo of silver, it's a huge amount.

Bro they are a capitalist economy with nothing to invest in, they spent a decade+ putting all their money into houses for nobody and now that market is imploding. The stat is something crazy like they have 60 million empty houses and those people are trying to preserve their capital now. There's nowhere for them to put their money other than gold.

>you know damn well it will always be a slow bleed unless nuclear war happens in which you will likely be dead
Most people would survive the nuclear exchange itself. Most of the deaths would result from loss of infrastructure, lack of food, heat, medicine, niggers.

Rural preppers would fare the best. Many unprepared city types would find themselves trapped in another Superdome death camp, and would not survive.

UBS Global Wealth Report lists China as having ~6.01 million millionaires
Also china is experiencing price fatigue and many are seeing it as less worth buying now as there are better opportunities with business and real estate that aren't a bunch of unfurnished concrete towers in a city nobody lives in.
Even with real estate collapsing many will see it as an easy way to profit over the long term while gold only going up right now means less profit long term.

I also forgot to mention how financial issues in china are causing local governments to basically extort businesses under the guise of administration fees and fines to keep up dropping tax revenue.
This got so bad the chinas #2 even publicly said they need to stop that crap so you can imagine that those fees make spending money on something that isn't consistently making money creates a situation where they definitely will pick businesses especially with how the government is taking action to stop these fines which btw was the reason why china claimed their GDP grew so much

Stop repeating old KGB propaganda. If life was so fragile, we wouldn't be here.

Will billions die? Of course. Mostly the ones who were only able to multiply thanks to European subsidies and tech. Will millions die in the west? Sure, mostly the democrat voters in big cities.

Who would survive and thrive, Amish would do very well.

Ignores the fact that silver bullion was not available for Chinese citizens to purchase until very recently. Chinese are buying everything from small bullion pieces, to kilo bars to 15 kilo bars now.

Silver bullion is the new craze in China.

>I can guarantee you not a single person who has ever posted in any of these /pmg/ threads including the feds will survive these nukes
I guarantee the exact opposite. That most people will survive the immediate exchange, but there will be a subsequently greater death toll from the resulting loss of infrastructure, with most deaths occuring in the first months after the nuclear exchange.

Some groups will even thrive. Needless to say, the EU will come out badly, the USA will do very well.

Yest, but they are mostly small 300kt yield. If you are out of the blast radius your biggest worry is very short lived radionuclides. (assuming groundburst, airburst has very low amounts of activation fallout)

If you can seal a room in your house and hunker down for 1 week, it will be safe to go outside unprotected. How many people have a one week worth of food, water and waste disposal capability (without power or water service) in their home?

The same week precious metals get shadow sell offs, the /biz/ boards are getting massively spammed with Zcash threads one after another. Threads full of sus posts with unnatural bot-like hype and sound like marketing slogans, and a few posts calling them out for the shills they are. I never really bought too much into the Israeli manipulation but I'm seeing it full stop on the boards in real time and it's sickening. These people are demons.
