I hope all you guys fall in love with your silver and are too lazy to ever sell.

When the time comes metals dealers will only have so much liquidity and it will be a race between all of us to cash out first.

that's why i mostly bought generic rounds that i have no attachment to. i wont think twice about selling a mickey mouse round.

>When the time comes metals dealers will only have so much liquidity and it will be a race between all of us to cash out first.
The entire point of PMs (real money) is to be able to transact P2P with zero counterparty risk nor intermediaries... so why not do that? Why do you feel the need to get raped by merchants each time you want to buy/sell some of your rocks? You have countless online platforms and forums to set up trades between retailers.
I've got 2440oz of the shit and i didn't go to a LCS since like 2020...

That's something we need to discuss seriously, to understand the fundamental changes in the gold & silver markets.
For me it's the "natural" outcome of the extreme concentration of PMs within so few hands.

If rewind back 60 years, PMs valuation was extremely stable, because 90%+ of the existing supply was held by literally everybody, since it was in everybody's pockets. That's not something (((they))) could treat as a shitcoin, since any price spike would potentially trigger a flood of offer from commoners.
So slowly but surely, the banksters spent the past half a century making sure the entire stockpile of PMs would get vaccumed by institutional investors/whales. Up to today : where less than 1% of households own any silver, and only few large players own 95% of the existing supply.
With such extreme concentration, they can dictate the markets exactly as they wish to. Sure they manipulate on the downside, but on the upside too, that's not something we can afford to forget. If PMs price charts look like shitcoins, it's because just like shitcoins it's nothing but gigawhales' playground. Us tiny rockers have literally zero impact on the market anymore, that's exactly (((what))) they engineered. In that regard, it's the same exact thing with bonds, stocks, etc... : the 0.1% ultra wealthy control 95+% of all assets in any form. Thus they can control it as they wish.

/pmg/ is typically 7 years ahead of wherever anyone else is in terms of emotions and noticing. Is /pmg/ at a point where people are willing to do shit other than purchase more metals? Because if not, I'd say at the bare minimum there are six years before any major civil unrest happens. And even then it's after a major meltup followed by a major melt down.

t. It's my job to figure this sort of shit out

I don't see it desu, mass entertainment, technotyranny and individualism buckbroke everybody on a metaphysical level.
But if stacking metals is seen as the last availible non-violent act of defiance against (((modernity))), then that's still extremely bullish.
And me think it might very well be the last legal act of defiance availible (until it's considered antisemitic or some shit).

From previous bake
>It breaks below 37-3500 get out.
Wrong friend. In fact most of you are looking at this the wrong way.
WE (that is stackers) have two win scenarios.
1. Silver moons, GSR closes and we swap ratios into gold. That's basically the plan of everyone here.
However we ALSO win if gold crashes. In fact it's easier for us to win if gold crashes because that means it's readily available.
A crash below 3500 without a subsequent crash in silver closes the ratio just as well as silver going to the moon.
I want gold to crash and I hope it does, I reeeeeaaaalllly do. If it bounces off 3500 and ratio is around 60's I'll swap 60 silver into gold and let Fiat eat the premiums.
If it crashes through 3500 then I let it ride as the GSR gets closer and closer.

>TL:DR you faggots that are only stacking are stupid if your bitching about gold crashing. Gold crashing is just as good for us as silver spiking because our end game is getting into gold.

GOD imagine gold hits ~1500 and silver sits at 50. Fuck me, I'd have to selectively choose a few silver pieces I keep for sentimental reasons before trading everything else for gold. My stack would shrink dramatically, but GOOOOOOLD!

It's disgusting to me how many people jumped in on pm's thinking it's a flip. On the bright side I'm pleasantly surprised how often I still have faith in humanity left to lose. I don't know when that well will finally run dry, but ok.

According to VENEZUELA I'll be more than able to buy food, housing, transportation and willing and eager wombs. This 'bagholder' concept relates to the idea that in the end you'd be left holding an empty bag. But buying and holding precious metals means we still have the metal. We'd have to exceed Mad Max levels of society collapse for metals to truly falter, and by then other metals like lead and copper take on a new, even similar, shine so no. Not equivalent.

And I know you're a shill, but in the off chance genuine newbies are paying attention I want THEM to understand how fundamentally off base that thinking is. FIAT loses power, assets gain. Metals are assets. Buying metals is a store of wealth for future acquisitions, not for 'get rich quick' shit or similar.

Stacker end game scenario tier list of all possible scenarios. We literally can't lose.

>F Tier-Everything crabs up together at the same ratio. In which case all my holdings are increasing but my stack isn't growing.

>D Tier-Everything crashes down at the same time. But then true price discovery happens and I can slurp cheapies right up until I can't change Fiat for unobtainium.

>C Tier-Literally nothing happens. Everything stays the same, then I pass down a highly valuable, finite liquid asset to my children to decide their futures with based on how the interpret my teachings.

>B Tier-Silver spikes, which is nice but it will be hard due to volatility to really increase your stack of ratio because LCS will be scared and eat metal with premiums and scammers will come for online deals making p2p trading difficult as well.

>A Tier-Silver increases as gold decrease. This means true price discovery is happening an we are probably reaching the most healthy solution for everyone involved that doesn't wear a small hat.

S Tier-Thate where we make a killing. That's where gold crashes during a suppressed but still increasing silver price.
Basically if silver can recover from these smack downs faster than gold can or suffer less when they happen. Ideally both.
This keeps both metals available and lower on the premium side since LCS have seen it before.
Buy the time your LCS really starts hitting with rarity premiums you will be healthily reinvested into gold.
We want fear from the masses, pressure from supply and demand and tptb to be juuuuust successful enough at kicking the can down the road for the change to not be overly shocking.
We get that perfect storm and smart stacklets at least 100 deep can dream about a tube of eagles. Be tough but possible.

It's not so much a specific level as it's a specific pattern, it has to break above the slanted trendline and stay there for a bit. If it gets rejected then it will go back down and make a higher low and repeat until it gets squeezed up and is forced to break in one direction. Major support is now at 4000, if it breaks that then theres many support levels on the way down with major ones being 3700 and 3550, but I don't think we'll see those. The general trend is still up.

We could be stuck bouncing around at this level until it's confirmed that the stock market is going lower and that would actually be the best scenario.

Tssss..., nothing crashed. I expected allways some corrections/gold price pressers/supressors (throw paper PMs on market to pull courses lower) for some 100 to 300 $, even more after the recent 6 weeks non stop all tme highs. So nothing crashing, yet. I plan to by more again when get money free in coming weeks. I buy before 2008+2011 and after 2011 when it get down back then, not bother me, important is to have it, posess it as an option for thin times and after when your money is gone, see those diverse [Kaiser, Waimer, Hitlers] Reichsmatk types+DDR Mark, Bank deutscher Länder, Deutsche Mark, Rubel, PL Zloty [lasted some 44 years 1945-1989]. Usual lifespan for Fiat money is like 20 to 40 years. But it is right too that Gold+Silver is heavy speculative. So we speculate at your+Fiat end.

DXY had a big gain, but that's certainly not the only reason. I'd guess the run increased production and that production bump has allowed them to flood. I also suspect they are trying to scare retail into selling before the big rise.
I expected all of October to crab between 45$ and 50$ but I guess supply ran away from ((them)) for a while, or maybe it really is as evil as tempting low impulse people to fomo buy and then sell on the bear trap.

Ach, Paperlapap-Schnick Scnack, I only made wins since started stacking in early 2000s. If i kept money on the bank, I would lose 80+% until now. So I am fine, multiplid my small fortune, or just kept what I earned from work and not lost to Inflation. No interest ever in BitCoin and stuff. Good what I own and good that I can keep it, sadly other people loose. It is a Fiat money circle, sheeple get fur cut, works every time. 2%/year "Good Inflation" (Lagarde) = 100% money loss in 50 years. ... We will see how far gold (or silver) will go down, nothing tragic for me. If you play, be aware of the moves of the other player(s) too. And how an Ami (Air Force or US Army man) said once to me; "There are allways losses."

I don't know what wound licking is actually going on. Anyone who's been stacking for long is actually "up" big time (more like fiat is down but still). Last oz of gould I bought was like 2300 and it felt expensive at the time. Friendly reminder that gold was crabbing since forever and finally broke out a few months ago.
there were three possible scenarios.
1)they had lost control of the price of paper gold. Very unlikely scenario.
2)gold anticipated a mega crash in the stock market and we're about to see that. Unlikely as welll.
3) they just let the reins go for a bit to catch up with inflation, and now they're trying to let it crab for a while like this. I believe number three is the most likely scenario.
This doesn't change the fact that silver coins are -way- above their future prices, and the same goes for gold from what I've seen.
make of that what you will.

I think a bit of number two and I would add number four as BRICS

For gold I bought the majority (75%) of my gold at 2000 but I realized a proportionately had too little silver too late so I bought in the 30s and 40s and even in the 50s. I’m beginning to see the backwardation reverse a bit today.

Because it is capital and not credit. They control the price because the credit system is all encompassing. But dilution, inflation, write offs and bankruptcies will be impacting credit investments, not capital ones. The woes plaguing the financial systems are a shortage of collateral/capital. Lower quality collateral (treasuries), and a lack of resources generally with increasingly unwilling trade partners not wanting to subsidize American consumption any longer. While America is importing a $700BN of goods in excess of what we export, we will never be wealthier. The trick is understanding that that arrangement is temporary and entirely defendant on foreigners. Real wealth is sustainable and requires the economic fundamentals of land, labor and materials to produce valuable goods and services. It involves real savings backed up by capital. All we have is credit and liquidity sloshing around. The service economy of selling craft beer and burgers to one another will not bode well against the manufacturing powerhouse that is the East. Our dollar supremacy on the global markets to enable consumption that makes us feel rich is not a fate that resides in our own hands.
What will revalue? The dollar. Gold payment will always command more purchasing power in the global market and the quality factor of gold will prevail.
